Had date night last night with my wife, we decided to go too Kaze. We have not been in very long time. When we got to our table there was only one other couple, so it was nice not to have a crowd. All four of our plates were greasy and dirty. We got those changed out. The waitress was not attentive at all. I had my drink filled 3 times and another waiter had to take care of it. Not that the waitress was busy, she was in the corner on her phone. Our chef he was awesome the best I have had yet. The portions we good size. I am in restaurant management myself and the quality of meat is the lowest quality you can get. When you want a ribeye you expect a ribeye not a thin cut of meat. What really did it for me when we had residue fall on my plate. There was a worm like thing in the VEGGIES the CHEF quickly got rid of it... INSANE.. Vent hoods need to be cleaned from the inside. Ill drive the 15 mins to BENIHANA!!.. Might pay few bucks more but it would be worth it.. I will be calling Mesquite Health department.. Hope the management team sees this to fix the issue..

My friends and I go to a lot of Hibachi places and this was my favorite. The fried rice had so much flavor that I accidentally filled up on rice before I got my veggies and chicken. My friend had texted me asking me my order and based on my previous experiences at other hibachi restaurants, I asked for mushroom and extra veggies. From other places mushrooms werent included and there werent a lot of veggies. But I sure didnt need to ask for extra here because there was so much! I also wasnt thinking that extra veggies would cost another $6 and mushrooms were $3. I knew there would be an upcharge but that was much more than I expected. It was my first time so it was a learning experience. The food was fantastic and our different orders were completed with no mistakes. We didnt mean to be complicated but our chef handled it with no problem. This place has become my new favorite hibachi restaurant.

I really enjoyed going here with my husband. This was our first time and the service was average. The waiter didnt really explain how to order. We did not know that everyone had to order at the same time for the hibachi so I didnt get to order. She then explained after I ordered my 2 sushi rolls that I could have ordered an entree but it would have been cooked in the back. The sushi was really good and tasted fresh and my husband was able to find out what fish came in that day for the sushi. So I am not sure if our bill was decent for sushi and hibachi but 3 sushi rolls and a teriyaki chicken hibachi and a soda was $58 before tip. Our hibachi chef was really good and put on a pretty okay show. He was better than others there, he had a bit of flare. I would come back.

My husband and I have been coming here for years and our last 2 visits made us not want to come back. I feel the quality is no longer that great. I always get the bento boxes and i loved how they used to be served with potato salad and a yogurt drink. Now theyve replaced that with edamame, which to me has no flavor, but thats just preference. I also noticed they no longer come to your table and serve you the 3 sauces. I ordered a tempura combo and no sauce came for the tempura. I asked our server for sauce for tempura but he never came and my husband had to get up to remind him. Maybe you may like this place if its your first time going, but our earlier experiences were so amazing that we no longer like the new operation unfortunately.

I went to the restaurant this past weekend. The waiter dropped a drink she was carrying on my cloth. I did not get really upset and start yelling. However, toward the end when we asked for the check, they did not even give a discount. which really show how cheap they are by not making up for their mistake. when I asked for it, they only gave me $2 dollars off which really upset me. I paid the full the amount and then as I am walking out, I saw the manager/boss and let him know how upset I was. all he bothered to say "did you all come here for a discount". I did not want to make a scene but I let him know that will be the last time I will come here

I dont normally throw shade on google, but I have to say that Kaze Sushi & Hibachi in Mesquite brought out a LIVE WORM with the veggies and literally laid it on the grill. My wife is my witness. The cook saw, and quickly shoveled all the veggies (and the worm) off the cooking surface and went back to the kitchen. I was shocked. In disbelief. I pulled the manager aside to inform him about the situation (he had no idea) and he was VERY skeptical of my report. "I have worked here for a long time and ive never heard anything like that" etc etc. We saw it! It was there! ALIVE. I guess at least we know the vegetables are really, really fresh?

The food is great. always fresh. if you go enough the chefs will give you an extra roll on the house. i have been to other WAY more expensive sushi restaurants and i prefer this one EVERY TIME. its just good. good tea. good sushi. good soup. good tempura icecream. XD its just an all around good place. its never really too super busy so the service is REALLY good. you are greated when you walk in the door by the whole restaurant. just a good place. i have been over 20 times in 6 months and i have NEVER had bad service. and its CHEAP. always some deal going on. yep. give it a shot. promise you will love it.

I was very impressed with this restaurant. The service was top notch, and the sushi was the freshest I have had since I lived in California. I couldnt believe how friendly the staff was, with our server taking the time to talk with us, and both of the sushi chefs greeting us and checking up on us during our meal. The sushi chef that made our food clearly took pride in and enjoyed his work, and it showed. The only partial negative that I have is that the nigiri sushi was a bit more expensive than in other restaurants, although in this case you definitely get what you pay for. I will be back.

I would understand if it were a busy night but 3 out of 6 of our party at the hibachi grills had ordered food. We were shooed from the restaurant for the other 3 that were not eating. The other 3 people in the party had ordered drinks as well. There were approximately 5 people other than us in the restaurant minus the help, and they told us that it was costing them propane for us to sit at the grill after the chef had already cooked my food. Clearly it was not any of the chefs or employees fault, only that of the restaurant manager. The food was amazing, but the service was horrendous.

Upon arrival, you are greeted by everyone yelling something Japanese in unison. sushi is great. Service and prices are great. They are very consistent in their sushi. They serve hot tea. They have hibachi. The hibachi vegetables are especially delicious. There are so many great rolls. Most notable ares Temptation roll, Red Rose, Lady Linda and if course the Kaze Fire roll. The sushi chefs are welcoming and so nice. Update: the dressing of the complimentary salad is watery and lacks taste. Maybe the new owners can revamp it.
