Though not a place one might meander into, Newark’s Spice N Grill offers rather inexpensive, and quite decent, Indian food. With a small menu, it is easy to choose what to eat, but beware, they’re spicy is for spice-lovers! New, clean, and spacious, Spice N Grill is a place to put on the maps. The “management” keeps a small book of notes that visitors write. A quick browse through will show that their mango lassi is one of the best in the area, and indeed it is. Not too sweet nor too much mango… The service was friendly and quick, but not the most fluent in English. However, once again it is proven that you don’t need to speak good English to make good food.

My wifes review :would have given it four and a half stars but the portion I got was so small. I just had the green sauce with cheese cubes in it I think thats palack paneer .. and vegetarian sauce with cheese cubes. I am a small-framed woman so I guess they assumed I didnt want a medium sized portion they gave me the amount that my nine-year-old would eat. I asked for no rice and no bread and I asked them to substitute that with more salad but I got such a small portion that I just ate it and now Im still hungry after $9 later.. maybe if they would increase the portion for the low carb people I could rate them better.

Paneer kathi roll (2 pieces $7), was pretty good and good value. The spicy chutney could have been much spicier. Suggestion: tofu cubes instead of paneer for a healthy and as tasty option
