Im from south India and I ordered food here ( briyani-rice item and chicken madras-curry) these are the authentic South Indian dishes, disappointed by the taste as it doesnt tasteany thing like briyani and chicken madras. Briyani is suppose to be dum( steamed with spices, fried onions, curry leaves, saffron color here and there and finally chicken/lamb covered with briyani Malala...should taste spicy depending on your spicy level) but in here it seemed to be mixture of chicken curry with rice,bel peppers, dry grapes with no curry leaves or parcelly or fried onions and tasted sweet because of dry grapes and was in brown color..please dont get deceived thinking this is how briyani is suppose to taste and look..coming to chicken madras, it doesnt taste anything like chicken curry.. Both the dishes doesnt worth for the money you pay.. Customer service totally sucks, I called in to genuinely find out the briyani and chicken madras style ....who ever spoke with me was very rude and defensive.. Not worth for 1 star but thats the least that I can give..

We came to visit NJ from Michigan first time and stayed in Courtyard Marriot NJ. We ordered dinner 2 times during our 3 nights stays. Food was incredible and tasty, no doubt about it as we ordered 2 dinners during our 3 nights stay out of 3 nights stay,. One night we ate dinner at time square. Being an Indian, best authentic indian food we ate till date. We were screwed by NJ transit bus driver, he gave us wrong information about our station and placed us at unknown location around 9:30PM night time, about 50 min walk from our hotel. Since we ordered food from Kamal palace earlier and we dont know anybody in NJ/NYC we called Kamal palace to provide us the taxi number. Kamal palace owner comes with our food and gave us ride to our hotel to help us. This is unforgettable lifetime experience and this will stay with us for lifetime. Please visit Kamal palace they are incredible peoples . Thanks to lovely peoples. Being an Indian and Punjabi , food taste was very very good , please visit Kamal palace.

We have been coming to Kamal Palace ever since it opened and it has been a wonderful place to enjoy delicious food in a pleasant atmosphere. The owner (Kamal) takes great pride in his food, always asking personally if weve enjoyed the various dishes. The naan bread is fantastic and the chicken and vegetarian dinners never disappoint. We also like the Lassi drinks as refreshing beverages that make the meal more special and the rice pudding is a delicate, delicious treat for dessert! The staff is genuinely friendly and the service is excellent. We have taken many friends here and they have all enjoyed it equally. The buffet is a great deal and the prices for the non-buffet menu are very reasonable. Kamal is one of those places that has become part of our extended family/community. We recommend without hesitation!

The food is good. Nothing great but pretty good. The portion sizes are tiny and the prices are high. The chicken dishes consist of 4 or 5 little dice size cubes of chicken, the rest is a plate of sauce. For $15, one should expect at least as much chicken as found in an order of nuggets. The side of rice is the same size if ordered for one or for two. The appetizer plate does not have an equal number of items and is quite un-filling for the price. The place is very clean and the service is very nice and friendly.Ive been there a few times now and I will go again if craving Indian food since its the only one in the area, but will expect to pay a lot and not get much food, good as it is.

We just moved into the Kearny area and were very excited when we called K.P. to see if they would deliver. Im so happy they did because the food is delicious! We each ordered an entree (Goat Tikka Masala and the Chicken Korma) along with an appetizer of the Samosas and there was plenty of food! I, who am not a fan of very spicy got everything Medium spiced and it was perfect for my liking. My girlfriend enjoys more spice so next time she said she will get Hot instead of Medium. We will definitely be visiting and ordering from here again. Great service and fantastic Indian cuisine! Were thrilled to have an Indian restaurant in our area. Thanks Kamal Palace!

My mom is addicted to this stuff, so I stopped by to pick up a 6-inch Green Tea Mille Crepe cake for her. $50 for 20 layers of cake, thats $2.50 per layer, Mom! Youre lucky I love you! When I showed up around 5PM on a weekday, they actually ran out of the 6-inch green tea cakes. I came by again the next morning to order the cake and they were able to hold the cake for me until I picked it up after work, nice! The cake is fluffy and delicious, it wont make you feel gross like other cakes that have a lot of cream or are just too sweet.

Very good food. The food tastes fresh and very flavorful. Of note, their lamb and goat is halal which is great for me. The food is authentic and can be made spicy upon request. The waiters are very friendly and attentive. The place is clean and very well adorned. There is free parking out front. Ive been to a lot of Indian restaurants and this is one I would definitely return to and recommend. We got the vegetable makhni which was exquisite and the lamb biryani which was very good. The lamb was succulent and tender.

I have been ordering food from them since 2016. It has always been wonderful experience. whether you eat in or order food, they value their customers. Each Item has its unique taste unlike other local Indian restaurant where they basically tweak the same grave for different item. The ambiance of the restaurant is also nice and cozy. It has always been wonderful having Kamal Palace, North Arlington so close to that I can rely on tasty food anytime.

Ordered Chill Chicken and Chicken Dum Biryani. Quantities of both were very less and I never knew that chicken Dum biryani would be sweet with cashews and Kiss-Miss in them. Its misleading to name the item as Chicken Biryani, rather name it as some special dish because spending 15$ on something that hasnt got any good taste is a waste of money. Never ever order Chicken Biryani here. Overall a bad experience..!!

Best Indian buffet around. The food is fresh, flavorful and not too spicy for me. I like that they have an extensive vegetarian selection. The staff is helpful. I like that they keep my water glass full. The restaurant is small but comfortable. The bathrooms are clean. Ive eaten here many times without any issues.

kamals is a decent place for Indian food. I came here for Lunch and theres a lunch buffet. Theres a good variety of dishes. Unfortunately, when I was there was not enough people to bring out a fresh batch. But, they did bring out hot naan to each table. I would come back to get my Indian food fix.

A regular lunch place for me. I know a lot of people turn their noses up at Indian lunch buffets because of quality but I really really like theirs. Everything is always good. Fresh Naan. I just ate lunch and Im still wanting to head over to Kamals now that I am writing this.
