Stopped in on a Monday around 5pm and had one of the worst bar experiences Ive had in a long while. Ordered a Sam Adams Hopscape and was given a pint of something that clearly wasnt Hopscape. Looked and tasted like a light domestic beer. Told the bartender, who then proceed to try a sample herself, after which she claimed she could taste the hops and left me with the same beer sitting in front of me. I insisted my beer wasnt Hopscape and asked if she could check the lines to see if the wrong keg was hooked up to that tap. She did so and came back insisting everything was correct and that it was indeed a Hopscape. I decided not to argue and drank the beer. For my next beer, I requested a Molson. When she handed the pint to me, it was extremely obvious the beer was too heady and colored to be a Molson (shouldnt a bartender know the difference between the look of a domestic pilsner and a craft beer?!). I took a sip and what do you know, it was Hopscape!! They DID have the taps hooked up incorrectly. I immediately asked the bartender to come over and told her that the Hopscape tap was pouring Molson and the Molson tap was pouring Hopscape. I could tell she thought I was crazy and looking to start trouble so I asked her politely to pour a couple samples for one of the regulars at the bar to see what they thought. Instantly, said regular confirmed what I had been saying since beer one. The had the taps reversed for these two beers. The bartender never apologized, never asked how she could rectify the situation, and never offered to take either beer off my tab. Just left me with the wrong beer sitting in front of me both times. I then ordered food, an appetizer and a burger and asked specifically for both to be brought out together, which she acknowledged....however, 5 minutes late the appetizer comes out before the burger. Id chalk this up to it slipping her mind due to a large crowd and having many patrons to serve, but there were maybe 6 people at the entire bar. Which makes it even more ridiculous that during my meal, a guy came in who sat 2 seats from me and waited a good 5-7 minutes for the bartender, who was busy talking with patrons at the far end of the bar (maybe 10 total people at the bar at this point - not crowded at all). Eventually, both he and I had to shout to get her attention. This bartender left me with a really bad impression of this establishment. Dont think I even want to give it a second chance after this debacle.

I have to agree with the other reviewers that Brother Pauls does have a great rotating beer selection. The meals Ive had there have always been great too. (I loved their french fries). Service at times was sketchy. Their outdoor patio is really nice is good weather. In fact, BPs used to be our favorite weekend place to hang with friends. A big selling point was their dartboards; at the time my friends and I were big dart geeks. However, given the consistency of our patronage, we never felt appreciated there. We seemed to always get the stink eye from the owner or manger everytime we went. We werent a bad group either, kept to ourselves in the dart room. I have seen other reviews that mention that regulars were poorly treated (foursquare). Sadly, these experiences soured my impression of BPs, so much so that I havent stepped foot into the place for at least 3 years now.

Been going to Brother Pauls since it opened. Great food, a tremendous revolving beer selection. Service is always very good, and excellent when Candice is working. Were there at least once a month, and it is somewhere I bring friends and family when theyre in town. Burgers, pulled pork, and crab dip are our favorites on the menu.

Love the food and the wait staff is friendly, attentive and polite. Unfortunately, the atmosphere went from being relaxed and mood setting to cafeteria like. Lighting feels like you are being interrogated for crimes you may or may not have committed. After 40 years of frequenting the place, I dont know if I will go back.

Not only does Brother Pauls have a phenomenal atmosphere, it is kid friendly (we had to wait for a high chair one busy Saturday) and the staff is quick and happy to please. And honestly...weve been on the search for a great burger. Brother Pauls burgers are fantastic!

Very pleased with the beer selection. Being from Michigan, they had Bells Two Hearted which completed my day. The Poppers also wereally very good, perfect tempature served with ranch. However, the bartender Ashley was very accommodating.

The food is horrible but its a homey place and the people are nice and they have a good beer selection. The crowd is hit or miss. You never know whether you wont be able to get through the door or if you will be the only one there.
