GOOGLE REVIEW FROM HELL. HELL NO. This is probably the worst restaurant in the entire Iowa City area. I ordered 3 simple calzones at 9:45. This was no problem, great. At 10:20 I get a phone call from one of their drivers saying that, "Grand Ave. is currently closed, we cant deliver to your area right now but we will be there as soon as possible." Okay, so that means probably 30 extra minutes max, right? WRONG. TWO HOURS LATER I AM STILL WAITING FOR MY CALZONES, NOTE: I DO NOT LIVE RIGHT NEXT TO GRAND AVE AND THERE ARE OBVIOUS WAYS AROUND THIS PROBLEM. It is now midnight, no calzones. I called one more time, "Hi, I ordered around 9:45 and I was wondering where they are?" "Oh, umm.. whats your name?" "*****" "Oh, here it is. Okay um would you like us to remake them?" "Yeah thats fine." I was very angry at this point because if I had called, they would not have even brought the food!! It is now one oclock. 1 IN THE MORNING. No food. I call again. "Hello. I ordered almost 4 hours ago and I still dont have my food." "Yeah were starting that order now." NOW?!?!?! Are you kidding me. The story ends with them bringing my friends and I 3 cold calzones at 1:45AM after ordering them 4 hours ahead of time. No price discount, no freebies. Nothing. Worst customer service Ive ever had. VERY disappointed.

I wish I could rate this better but I never had the chance. We put an order in of 3 items, and waited for them to be made. 30 minutes later we asked the status of our order and were met with a dumbfounded look. The employee, who looked high and was not in any type of a hurry nor seemed to care very much, told us "what order?". It seems the order never made it past the register even though our credit card was charged. We waited 30 minutes for nothing. We asked for a refund and left. Too bad. I really wanted to try it. The food looks good but this place is ran by incompetence.

Customer service is horrible and not to mention 2 miles is too far for them to deliver when they have 0 customers. Placed order online and drove down there before they had it printed and started. Asked the manager Amelia how to contact corporate and she turned around and walked away. Not to mention staff was making fun of the situation. The food was mediocre too. Calzone was soggy, cheesy tots were bland and not so cheesy, and the hot wings were mild at best. One pregnancy craving Im sure will not be returning, or will at least be satisfied with better food.

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. This location favors friends of the workers, as they come in and get their food immediately after ORDERING, not preordering. We consistently have people coming and going before us, and wait 45 MINUTES BEFORE OUR FOOD IS EVEN BEGUN TO BE MADE. Upon request of a refund, they quickly throw it into the oven, saying that its being made and no refunds are given as they screw up the order. Close this branch before any more shame is brought to the company.

Called ahead for an order and came in 15 minutes after (they said 15 minutes to cook) walked in and saw a calzone ready and was told it should be out of the oven soon, proceeded to wait 15 more minutes sitting there as my calzone happened to be ready, found out once I asked about it and the guy said he had no clue why they didnt give it to me yet (hmm...) Opened it up to eat it and it wasnt even hot anymore.

Stopped in for a quick bite this afternoon and had a great experience. Ordered the Maui Wowi Zone (Ham, Pineapple, Mozzarella), had a very short wait. The Calzone was really tasty. The owner came over and asked us how our experience was, and offered us a sample cookie (which was delicious). Will definitely be coming back!

The absolute worst service! The staff have no idea what is going on in that place. Orders are misplaced, consistently out of Heyns Ice Cream and delivery service speed that matches the Post Office. I am done wasting my money here. My advice: take your business to a more deserving place.

I had to wait over an hour and a half for my food. The staff had no clue what was happening when I called. They ran out of food and didnt call me about my order. I had to call them. They also messed up our order but at that point I didnt want to deal with the longer hassle.

We stopped yesterday and got the Maui Wowi and the Pig Mac and decided to share. They were both tasty. The owner is very friendly and asked if everything was good. The cookies are fabulous so try one when you go. We will be back to try different calzones.

Ive seen people say this it too pricy, but I disagree. Food is AMAZING, ingredients are fresh, and it is truly good food. I miss it so much. Maybe they will open more locations soon... (hint, hint). Their cookies are also usually very good and BIG.

We LOVE DP Dough. They always have specials through order up or facebook that makes it even cheaper to eat here and their calzones are seriously the best ever. I recommend adding potatoes to any calzone.
