This place wa disappointing on so many levels! We put our name on the list and were told it would be 40 minutes. We went in to get a coffee and waited for about 5 minutes before nyone acknowledged us. We moved over to an area inside and sat on the couch to wait. An employee walked over and proceeded to reprimand us for sitting. She said "I told you not to move!" Then when we apologized she said something under her breath and walked away. All the creamer bottles were empty, no one that worked there had a smile on their face. We got our table and were waiting on two more people another employee came up to us and asked how much longer we would be waiting for our other guest. We explained we were not sure, at this point we had been waiting on waters for about 5 minutes. We asked her if there was a problem and she said we could go sit back inside and give up our table until the rest of our guest came. We decided to leave and not support a business that treats people this way! We are locals and will tell other people about our experience! I have never been treated so poorly by a resturaunt on HHI is the 17 years I have lived here. Cant speak for the food since we did not eat, but I will never step foot in this place again.

We found this gem of a restaurant by chance, when looking for a place to eat while we were on vacation in Hilton Head Island last week. It is hidden away along Pope Ave and I encourage everyone to go check it out for dinner if you really LOVE food! Also the owner and our server were so gracious as we had a very cranky 5 year old with us. We started off with the Boiled Peanuts as it is a favorite of my Fiancee and I and the Brussel Sprouts. We were not disappointed with either. These were not the best Brussel Sprouts but they were definitely at the top, especially if you enjoy yours with bacon. For our entrees we shared the Island Shrimp and the Braised Short Rib. Island Shrimp - Perfect balance of Shrimp and Quinoa with the amazingly delicious sweet and spicy Coconut island sauce! Braised Short Ribs - These were some of the best Short Ribs I have ever had, and the best I have had not prepared in Korean Cuisine. The Chimichurri sauce was so delicious! Just writing this review I wish I could go back for dinner tonight and eat here again. I will definitely be back and I encourage anyone in the mood for rally good food to give them a try!

My husband and I came here because I read the other great reviews but overall we were underwhelmed. We came on a Thursday morning, so it wasnt too busy, but the hostess refused to seat us outside because there was only one table left and they needed to save it "in case" a party of 6 came. (It sat empty the whole time we were there.) The food was tasty but I thought it was overpriced and the portions were stingy. I had french toast, which was fine, but it was a $2 upcharge to get fruit on it, and I ended up with only a small handful of berries. I think it would have been really pitiful without the fruit, especially for the price. My husband got crab benedict, and could barely taste any crab. Also had to pay another $2 to get a side of hash browns. Again, the food was decent, but it seemed like they were cutting corners and upcharging you at every opportunity. They had an extensive menu of coffee drinks, which I didnt try but which looked good, so maybe come here if youre just looking to get a drink. But if you are looking for a good breakfast to start your day, try somewhere else.

I walked in with two boys to eat. The tall male bearded waiter asked us if it was to go immediately at the door. I said no. He seemed put off that we were going to eat in (at 2 pm). I asked him if it was okay and he mumbled yes. He seated us. He brought us three sodas. He asked are you ready to order we said 5 minutes please. 15 minutes went by I said we are ready when your ready he stated in a moment. It appeared he was closing down outside. There was only one other table. Twenty minutes went by seemed intentional that he was not serving us. We stood up and said no thank you, we will go elsewhere. I gave him twenty for the drinks when I went up to retrieve money. the owner/manager asked was there a problem I stated we had no service. She comped our drinks we left and WILL NOT RETURN and make sure our renters no not to go there.

Delicious food, excellent service, many gluten free choices. My husband and I left the kids with their grandparents, so we could enjoy a quiet, breakfast date while on vacation. We sat outside im a casual, patio area with shade and fans. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, and he returned to check on us and refill the (excellent) coffee several times. I follow a gluten free diet for medical reasons, and I was thrilled to find many options (gf waffles, pancakes, toast, bagels, egg dishes, fruit and potatoes... usually you can have eggs and fruit and maybe one"carb" option). Well come here again with the whole family! The only "negative" might be the prices, but for healthier, less processed food, they didnt seem unreasonably high.

I loved everything about this place. Okay not everything. I didnt like that I had to do a u-turn to get there but aside from that it was stellar. The interior is inviting to hang out and enjoy yourself, the yogurt is awesome (especially the toppings) and the staff is super friendly. To be honest I wish I took the opportunity to try the coffee too. It was our last day at Hilton Head and we liked it so much we went twice in the same day to take a few people with us who didnt go the first time. I think I liked it more the second time. Unfortunately I have nothing like this where I actually live so Ill have to just drive 16 hours to have the same experience again.

We were looking for a late breakfast place and came across Watusis.....they serve breakfast ALL day....kinda hard to find these days..... What a great spot!!! Next door to Aunt Chiladas, this quaint homey place is what Starbucks wishes it was, eggs, omelets, fresh made breakfast sandwiches, chesse grits, gravy, awesome coffee, and a delicious Nutty Irishman is my idea of kicking off our first day of vacay here on HHI!!!! The staff was attentive and friendly, comfortable seating and a couple of nice couchs just calling your name. They also sell tasteful souvenirs for friends and family.....we will be seeing you guys again this week!!!

This place was just a disappointment on so many levels. There were clearly plenty of empty tables and we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. When we finally sat down ordering our food tool and other 15 minutes and when we did finally order we had to wait close to an our for biscuits and gravy and a omelette which didnt even taste very good! The biscuits and gravy was bland, they didnt cook the meat and gravy together so the dish was not fused together and the omelette was dry. An utter disappointment, stay away!
