I am so thrilled we decided to give this place a try!! We originally planned to head out to our "go to" date night restaurant but decided to stay more local, as we got a late start. It was the sign that caught my eye every time Id pass by...but never followed through with actually giving this new place a try. The food was FANTASTIC !! Easy to say for a first time experience, but we went a SECOND time shortly after and fantastic AGAIN! The menu is interesting, the prices are great for what they are serving and the portions are NOT obnoxious !! I admit, I wasnt so sure about the location...in an older strip mall that gets no traffic but they did a real nice job inside. Not "fancy", as that would not fit given the location, but clean and "new"... Back to the food.... the salad choices are of an upscale/trendy spot and did not disappoint ! goat cheese and beets !?!?, really? I was thrilled to see that one!! And it was soooooo good. So far weve had 3 different entrees and all 3 equally impressive!! Our second visit, a Wednesday evening, we had the pleasure of one of the owners stop at our table and chat...and now we like the place even more ! I could go on and on but Ill save it for another visit and review! If I must mention a drawback, which we learned on our first visit, was that we could not have a glass of wine :-( BUT .... our second visit we learned the liquor license IS IN THE WORKS!!! I hope this place continues to do exactly what they are doing thus far! Good Luck to French Toast ! I cannot wait to have a glass of wine! I believe anyone who tries this restaurant will not be disappointed !

Disappointed at the food at French Toast Bistro. We were looking for a nice brunch spot and this seemed like the perfect place. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and the service was great. However, the food was lacking. Maybe it was because we came towards the end of the lunch service, but the food tasted stale. The lobster mac and cheese was lacking taste and flavor, and smelled almost rotten. I had to ask them to warm it up since it was cold. Unfortunately, the heat did not improve the flavor. The baked french toast tasted as if stale bread was used to make it. The bread was hard, and lacked syrup (we had to ask for some more). We also ordered the shrimp po boy sandwich, and thankfully, this was decent, but not amazing. Although the service and ambiance was nice, I would not return here again due to the lacklustre food.

Excellent breakfast/brunch place. Baked French toast. The highlight, had a perfect texture, juicy and semi crispy outer layer. Which had the right amount of sweetness and flavor. Served with some berries and original maple syrup. What else do u want on a Sunday morning. :) Veggie omelette and hash browns where crispy and amazing, perfectly made. One thing lacked was a hot sauce, they just have the store bought Cholula and tobacco. The coffee, was good freshly served Prices are ok, step up from the regular coney Island, but not too pricey. The decor is nice and cozy. Which slight fine dining feel. The wait staff who was helping us was super nice and friendly but the person who sat us down did not even smile (dint seemed to be happy that day).

Im disappointed, experience was horrible. We went on a weekday morning, it didnt seem busy as there were plenty of open tables. We placed our order, and after 20 minutes asked if our breakfast was ready. Another 5 minutes and a "manager" comes over, (she looked very young, possibly a teenager) , she said our food wasnt ready and "its normal to wait 20-40 minutes for your meal, because they are not a Coney Island." That was such an unprofessional thing to say! If thats true, or if there was a problem in the kitchen a heads up would have been great!

Not exceptionally fast service, but I cut them a break as they just opened and are likely still working out the kinks. As far as food - unbelievable. Have gone for dinner with my family and everyone loved their food. Have also gone for lunch and got the pear and arugula salad with chicken - also fantastic. Modest prices for a unique menu - will probably go back until I try everything on the menu. Also love to support a privately owned restaurant in an area on Haggerty in Plymouth/Northville that is littered with chains.

The food was great, the service was not. Had several servers come to the table and as a result no one knew what was going on. They brought our food to the wrong table so we had to wait longer than necessary for our lunch. And I have a sneaking suspicion they brought me the same exact sandwich they took back from the other table. So while it was very good, my enjoyment of it was tempered by that thought of course. Well give it another shot but I hope next time the service is as good as the food.

Cant explain - Just try it for yourself. Im sure you will be going back; like myself. I think this will be my 5th time returning in less then 30 days. Great food with a unique twist that Im not accustom to. Owner seems down to earth and wants to expand on the menu. Wine/Beer/ liquor Im told is on the way. Regardless if its in the house or not Im going back! The food is amazing, not to mention they have carry out. Who wants pizza every night? call French toast.

Tried this place for the first time today and I was not disappointed! Our waitress was so sweet and nice! The food was incredible! I had the lobster mac and cheese. It had a ton of lobster and big chunks, too. The cheese sauce was awesome as well. It was so good I couldnt stop eating. My boyfriend got the egg breakfast and ate every bite. I cant believe I live a mile away and never tried this place before. Its so good! I will definitely be back. And often!

Love this place! I was searching for a new brunch spot in the area, and came across FTB. I ordered the crab cakes benedict and was WOWED! I loved that they used a homemade biscuit instead of english muffin. My friend ordered the biscuits and gravy -- and their gravy was phenomenal -- Not as thick as other places and the taste was awesome. Cant wait to come back and sample their other menu items, and very happy to have such a hidden gem in the area!

Excellent food! Not the usual ho hum items. Had the eggs Benedict and they were very good. Nice warm decor, friendly owner. Beignets are made to order and are wonderful! Biscuits werent as flaky and as light as I like them. Also when the sun is shining in brightly, the windows need shades that can be pulled down. Overall though, a new great restaurant everyone should try.

The food was very good at a reasonable price, but we did not like the face that the hostess walked us to the back of the restaurant past all of the open tables as if they did not want the customers to see us. We did ask for a seat up front so we could enjoy natural light and they brought us to the middle open area. That is the only reason it is not 5 of 5 stars for my wife and I.
