We live a stone throw away from Dunkin Donuts. Having grown up in New Jersey its pretty much the only donuts we had. But just three blocks away there is an amazing little shop called Purple Glaze. If you havent had one of their donuts you must stop in and try one! Theyre not your regular donut shop where everything is on display. Here the donuts are made as you order them. THATS RIGHT...they hand dip, fill and decorate them just as they are coming out of the fryer when you order them!!! Im sad yet glad theyre not open when I go to work in the morning because Id never be able to keep my girlish figure.

Whenever Im at the Jersey shore I always stop at Purple Glaze. They have some tables outside just in case you cant wait to eat your donuts, which is often the case. There is a list of regular donuts and also specials so theres always something new to try. Really friendly staff, good coffee and excellent donuts. I recommend ordering a plain donut (in addition to the other specialty donuts), you can really taste and see the quality and theyre so tasty plain!

I called to order. I then had to add to the order at the last minute and I was late picking up!! It wasnt a problem at all! I cant say enough about the fantastic service! (Dan I believe.) More than happy and accommodating. This will be my new go to place!! spread the word! Delicious!!!

Holy Mother of DONUTS!! I was visiting my friend over the weekend and our teenage daughters called to pick them up at thisdonut shop. When I arrived they came out with the most amazing donuts Ive ever seen or tasted..Do I hear an amen? I will return to this shop everytime I return to Asbury.

Absolutely the best donuts. The owners are creative and friendly. We look forward to going there on the weekends and ordering for special occasions. These are great to bring with you to a party or eat at the store. It is difficult to find parking so plan accordingly.

The staff were very friendly and made my family (with small kids) feel very welcome--gave us a bonus donut and some stickers. The kids loved the shark donut and the purple glaze. Well definitely be back!

Must stop homemade doughnuts in NJ!!! Just order a plain doughnut and coffee to taste the fluffy inside and crispy outside: pure heaven!!! They are always creating some new flavor, very inventive!
