Para que irse a restaurantes peruanos cuando uno puede hacer sus compras y comerse un delicioso plato de Lomo Saltado. Bien servido, bien sazonado y delicioso. Tambien tienen Bistec Apanado y otras cosas. Excelente para un desayuno o un almuerzo. De paso pueden comprar Pisco Peruano y otras cosas de la tierra que uno mas extraña, El Peru!

Born and raised in Rogers Park, my parents have gone to this store since I was little. The food here is just amazing. This is a small grocery store with a restaurant in the back. Although it appears as a hole in the wall the food is just exquisite. If you are a first timer try their Carne Guisada (Beef stew) or their Pechuga de Pollo en mantequilla (Chicken breast in butter sauce). Prices are good for the size of the plate. I hope you give them a chance, its a good deal for a home cooked meal. Look at that im even rhyming.

Saturday May 14, 2011 around 15:10. I walked in this store to shop around for some items I needed. There was an old man employee following me as if I was stealing something; a few minutes later another Mexican girl was watching me with the same attitude. I just left the store and went to DEVON MARKET across the street and got all the stuffs I needed and paid much less. I’m 42 professional male, not a thief looking guy. WILL NEVER COME BACK.

I love places like this. Cramped, full of stuff youd never expect to find, and an amazing place to get food in the back. Initially I stopped by for a few specialty items - theyre one of the few on the north side who Ive found that carries Palacios Picante Chorizo (imported from Spain) - and ended up getting a sandwich to go. Very fair prices, convenient location, and really good selection considering the space available.

A hidden gem of Rogers Park that has stood the test of time. Nice little store but the baked goods and lunch counter in the back is the reason to stop by. Get a Cuban sandwich, the coquettes are my all time favorite.

My wife is able to find all kinds of stuff from Colombia at La Unica. We go here every time we go to Chicago. Some of the stuff is a bit expensive, but thats the price you have to pay to get the "taste of home".
