Havent even eaten at this restaurant. I made an online reservation through Open Table, which I had to cancel same day (I received confirmation of the cancellation); the next thing I know I am being bombarded with calls from Cuisine without any messages. I come into the office the next morning and leave a voicemail looking to make a reservation for the following week. I receive a call back at 3:19pm, however I did not have a chance to call them right back. At 4:19pm I come back to my desk and have a missed call from Cuisine; at 4:33pm I received a message from a receptionist that a RUDE man is on the line looking for me or my boss because of a reservation. I let her know I would give him a call when I had a chance since I just got back to my desk. I call him (Rick) back at 5:06pm to follow up with my voicemail from the morning looking to make a reservation for the next week. This man was one of the RUDEST people Ive ever talked to. He badgered me on the phone about the cancelled open table reservation and told me how he had to call open table several time and speak with them. He then went on to argue with me because my online reservation name (my bosss name because I book reservations for him); did not match my voicemail name (my phone number since I am the main contact for reservations). It ends up the restaurant is closed the day that Im looking for a reservation anyway, so all this arguing for nothing and a RUDE person at the restaurant. I book a lot of corporate events and will NEVER suggest this place for anything just because of this one person - RICK. Terrible customer service and extremely rude.

A very disappointing dining experience last night. We were a party of eight and all were there and seated by 5:50 PM in anticipation of a superb meal before an 8:00 PM Fisher performance. There were only a couple other patrons at that point. We ordered wine and decided on our meal items. The service was painfully slow. We finally got salad (I ordered the Lobster Bisque and was given salad). It took 10 minutes to get that corrected. I ordered more bread (by this time 45 minutes had gone by and were were hungry). We never did get the bread. As other patrons were getting their salads, appetizers and finally entrees, we sat. When we asked our server about the delay, she became defensive and told us that 1) we were a party of eight and, even though she placed our order first, the chef couldnt handle that); 2) the play doesnt start until 8:12PM; and 3) the other patrons were also going to the Fisher. When the food finally arrived, I was very disappointed. I ordered striped bass with puff pastry. If there was 2 ounces total, that would be a stretch. It was not of the quality I have had in the past at Cuisine. There were exactly 7 green beans on the plate. We had to repeatedly ask for spoons and water refills. The wine was excellent! The atmosphere was special, but Cuisine is no longer one of my Detroit favorites.

Dont Go Here!! The service is terrible. We planned with plenty of time before the theatre in spite of web warnings on disaster service. 20 minutes for menus. 30 minutes to get a drink. 60 minutes for salads. IT GETS Worse. They lost our order. One entree followed the others by 10 minutes and had to be sent back. Side Dishes never came. They complain about theatre crowds but it is their only business and Book of Mormon has been sold out for months. Take this and others advice. Skip this place. You can go to a place that wants your service and valet park at the Fisher. There were at least six other couples in the same boat, many more vocal than me. I kept hearing the manager try to tell them they should have come at 5 pm for a 8 pm show!

Arrived at 6 and asked our waitress if we would have enough time to eat before the 8pm show at the Fisher - was told it would be no problem. Ordered by 6:15... appetizer arrived at 6:45... dinner at 7:50!!!! As the service wasnt what wed expect, I tipped low (15%). Imagine my surprise when my bank statement reflected a %22 tip! The food we finally did receive was cold. A table side that was ordered was "unavailable" but we werent told that until the dinner was brought to our table. Weve been to Cuisine numerous times with no issues and always get acceptable food. Such a disappointment now.

Incredible service and outstanding food. I cant wait to come back again. Server and chef are very passionate about their craft. Ive already called others to dine here while I was still sitting at our table. The waiter recommended the Halibut with a well paired white Bordeaux and Ive never tasted a better halibut! I couldnt be more satisfied. Their avocado grapefruit salad, tuna tartare, and cauliflower were all outstanding. I cant wait to bring others!

We sat upstairs, next to the sewer vent pipe, among pale painted brick walls. Ordered champagne, got soda water. Waiter was totally flustered when we said we were ready to order. Soups didnt come until after the food was out. Didnt get soup spoons. Waited 15 minutes after requesting the bill, then over 20 for it to come back. The food was superb, but the service and decor really killed it.

AMAZING! That is the best word to describe this place. From start to end, the experience was perfect. My wife and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary and we were lucky enough to have Justin take care of us while we dined here. If you have the ability to request Justin, do so, you wont regret it. He was extremely helpful and made the best recommendations. We will definitely dine here again soon.

Let me make this clear: this is my favorite restaurant in the world. Chef Paul serves up delicious, fresh, amazing dishes that change on a daily basis. He uses locally sourced ingredients to create works of art that are edible. If you are in Michigan, make your way to this restaurant. It is guaranteed not to disappoint.

My wife and I went to Cuisine for our anniversary and it was delicious. We slowly picked items from the menu and had a great time. Jack was our waiter and he made sure everything was great and that we had a great time. We cant wait for the patio to open up for the summer.

A very disappointing first visit. We stared at our butter dish for an hour before any food came...and it wasnt bread, it was our entree not our appetizers, we got those after our entrees were finished. No apology and 4 different servers. It was like a bad circus dream.

Excellent crispy shrimp appetizer with perfect sauce, then a tasty cauliflower vegetarian entree. Entree had just a little too much salt, but otherwise perfect low calorie dish. Plus, service was excellent.

Superb food, terrific low key setting. Best Chef in Detroit. Sarah has the place running perfectly.
