The most underrated breakfast/lunch spot in the city. Right across the street from Sister Pie in West Village. This charming little cafe offers the best tea selection Ive seen around Detroit. Im a coffee drinker but the tea here is just out of this world. I tried the Big Ben, a classic slightly floral cup of English breakfast tea. Gentle and subtlety sophisticated. The Grand Yunnan Imperial has a light black pepper notes and a touch of woody astringency, bigger body than the Big Ben. My favorite though is The Du Tigre. Extremely complex with enticing subtle smokey notes. The menu is straightforward. I usually get overwhelmed by French restaurant, but La Bohème understand the difference between authenticity and pretentiousness. The Quiche here is simply mind blowing. The texture is crunchy from the outside and around the edges and soft at the bottom and deliciously creamy from the inside. Its a decent size and I dont think Ive ever said that in any French restaurant. Also, before you leave do yourself a favor and get the Marie Antoinette as a dessert. Its a fat pistachio macaroon filled Raspberry creme. Quite rich but not overly sweet and would pair wonderfully with a black tea. My server was highly attentive, welcoming and genuinely hospitable.

Authentic French fare prepared by the Parisian owners. Limited menu and limited seating but very good. Their credit card machine always seems to be down so bring cash. They are closed Sun & Mon. If you want to try something specific like their quiche on a Saturday, dont wait to go until 1pm as it will likely be sold out. Great place to practice your French if you are so inclined. Street parking. For what feels like a treasure hunt, descend the stairs to find the bathroom.

I LOVE this place! My favorite is the quiche. The crust is indescribable! Aside from this, everything Ive tried on the menu has a unique and authentic taste that you can tell has been hand crafted as a work of art. The atmosphere is calm, warm and welcoming and visually enticing. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who asked me!

Very poor service (my order was wrong and 2 other table were wrong. They got up and left). The music wasnt working, the power went out once, if not for the food being good it would have been 1 star. Sadly there are too many other good places for brunch in the city to give high marks for poor performance.

I came to find it was closed before the posted closing time. Frustrated at first, I came back and knocked on the door. The owner answered and explained that they did so well that they were sold out for the day. He was extremely gracious and even offered to show me around. Cant wait to try the place!

The food and atmosphere here are fantastic, and everyone is really friendly! I very much enjoyed the gallery downstairs. La Bohème is definitely one of my new favorite restaurants. Looking forward to when I next visit!

Place is phenomenal and a great find. Croque Madamoiselle was delicious. Place does not get enough credit. If youre thinking of going to sister pie, dont and go here instead.
