My friends and I went here last night as part of a birthday bar crawl. It was our second stop. I have been to the Ypsilanti location several times prior but never this one. Our waitress Brittany (hopefully spelled this way) was very polite to our party. She was quick to take our order, food and beverages. I let her decide on a beer cocktail for my beverage. She brought me a black and tan that i had no problem emptying. She also turned on the closer big screen for us to watch football, she went above and beyond what we would expect from a brewery waitress....well done. The reason for the 3 star rating as opposed to a higher value is due to the lackluster food. We had an order of onion rings which was a 95% dough to 5% onion ratio, and it was the size of a regular sugar donut. More like an oniom grease breadball. Was not satisfied at all. My entree was a Reuben with sweet potato fries. The thousand island dressinf that came with the reuben was almost spicy, and i enjoyed dipping the fries ( which were cooked well) into it. My major complaint about my entree was the bread used on the sandwich. It was overtoasted and actually cut the inside of my mouth. Lastly, the garlic fries appetizer we shared as a table... were quite delicious... so we felt as a group that it deserved a solid 3 stars.

I went to Arbor about a month ago with friends. We were in town for a conference and went to great lengths to get out of the hotel and sample some of the best in local drinking. When we started our first pitcher at Arbor, we realized that the beer was really flat. I asked the server, who said, "Right, thats the style of beer we do." I thought that was nonsense, but I didnt want to be a jerk, so I smiled and told him that was fine. He came back later and told me the bartender said that particular beer on that particular night really was flat--so the server offered us that pitcher for $4 off or another kind of beer for full price. I still cant get over this--who goes to a microbrewery thinking, "You know what I want? I want disappointing beer thats only *slightly* overpriced." Needless to say, we picked a different beer...and that one was flat, too! We also had the hummus, which was good, and the chicken strips, which were like rubber. So the moral of the story is that if youve got one chance to drink good local beer in Ann Arbor, try one of the other nearby places--I hear theyre good.

This used to be my favorite place for my best friend and I to meet up for beer and dinner. Weve been going here for about 15 years and seen many menu changes and tried a vast number of beers. Sadly this latest menu change has ruined this place for me. The food is still good but they basically raised the price and cut the portion sizes, so you almost need 2 entrees to actually be happy. Happy hour prices were changed for a bit which killed the nicely priced beers. Luckily the beer is still great but they have increased the prices there to a point where you can actually get ABC beer in bottles and on draft for cheaper from many restaurants in Ann Arbor which just seems stupid. The one saving grace for this place is they still have shuffleboard, but the table is almost never maintained. Once my favorite bar tenders stop working there, Ill stop showing up. Sad but places go down hill all the time, maybe one day this one will recover.

Bad food. Bad service. That was my experience at Arbor Brewing Company. I came here with two of my friends a while ago. My friend and I both ordered different sandwhiches. Neither of us got what we were supposed to get. Instead we got some weird pesto chicken sandwich that wasnt really even good. We joked afterwards that they just give that same sandwich to every customer no matter what they order. I also got a kamikaze shot. Amazingly enough they managed to mess up the shot. It tasted watered down, which Im not sure how they managed to pull off since usually when a drink tastes watered down it is due to them letting it sit with ice for too long. Unfortunately I didnt get to try their beers, but even if theyre beers arent bad, it wouldnt be worth the trip. They would have to be world class for it to make up for rest of the place.

My friends and I have been going to ABC for years and seen changes to the menu, various beers come and go (Java Stout, mmm) and gotten to know some of the friendly staff. Ive never had a bad service experience here, ever. In fact, our waitstaff is always attentive and prompt without hovering or being intrusive. We also often get some nice deals for larger groups or long visits - free rounds of beer for the whole table, or complimentary appetizers. I miss the old jukebox, but otherwise I still consider ABC a local favorite for excellent microbrews and great food. Took a group of friends from out of town there last night and everyone LOVED it - raved over the food and the beer, and even bought souvenir t-shirts on the way out. Cant ask for a better experience than that!

Greeted right away and sat right away. Server never mentioned happy hour specials which would have been great because I really wanted nachos but not a whole order. After ordering fried pickels, I noticed the happy hour flip thing on the table with happy hour prices... half order nachos. Husband had a beer, server took the beer menu away. I used the bathroom, and it was disgusting. I dont mind unisex bathrooms at all... but they should be checked on continuously. Urine soaked seat, sticky floor and toilet paper on floor. I came back to table and were going to another place down the street. Most likely wont be back.

I have been to ABC multiple times and have never been disappointed. The beer selection offers many local brews with some larger name beers snuck in. The atmosphere of the Brewpub is unique and gives an older feel in my opinion. The food has been excellent during each visit. I recommend the poutine and the black bean burger. I have had only one issue with the pub being that the selection of brews on the menu is not always representative of what they have available. I have had to change my choice of beer based on this issue but have enjoyed the alternative and so I still feel confident giving out five stars.

Ok, went there specifically for the duck sandwhich listed on the menu online only to find out that it is no longer available. The duck poutein was good, the fudge stout beer was good, but not cold. The smoked lager actually tasted strongly of wood smoke which wasnt pleasant. The waiter did take the smoked lager off the bill. I asked for a medium well burger, but got a medium rare burger, hopefully they have a clean kitchen because I didnt feel like waiting for a replacement. This was after the Ann arbor art show closed for the day, so maybe the staff was worn out. Overall a mediocre experience.

One of least favorite breweries for the food. I was more into their beer. Their crafts are amazing and their "Bavarian Bliss started me off many years before I even understood what true craft beer really was and how special that is. It was sweet and interesting tasting and its banana lemon description intrigued a Michelob Ultra drinker. Many, many years later I am a lover of the German beer Hefeweizen and this beer started it all. Their food was unforgettable from what I remember. But, stop and grab a beer or pick up their 6 packs in the stores cuz its good stuff in that bottle!
