DATE: 5.29.2015 Went to this location, after my friend insisted on trying this "Korean BBQ". It was a mistake. I ordered simple dishes :takoyaki, beef bibimbap(rice, veggies). They werent appetizing and they would have received three stars but the waitress and the staff were some of the worst Ive had in quite sometime.. The front staff, wouldnt help me find my group. After saying the reservation name several times. She said "I think they are in the back", after looking at me like I was an alien for a solid 30 seconds. Look at someone for 30 seconds, without saying anything--yes, thats how awkward it felt. I knew it was going to be fusion, but this food was either too bland or too spicy. Nothing tasted right. And the waitress was more of a hostess. In that, she only sat us down and avoided servicing our table for the entirety of the night. Towards the end, she was too busy flirting with the busboy in the front to give us any service. When she finally brought the check, she brought a single check for two large separate tables. Thats right, she thought it would be a smart idea to give TWO completely separate tables ONE check. It was infuriating. I wanted to pay with card, just to express how bad the service was on the recipients signature line. Korea was my home for 2 years. This location didnt deserve the gas it took to drive there, the Korean name or my money! In fact, I want my $27.00 back. Bonchon, get it together!

Do not come here with 6 or more people. Generally, I dont care about waiters/waitresses giving themselves the 18% tip, but the waitress that we had clearly did not care about providing any timely service, since she knew she was getting an 18% tip. The restaurant was not busy on Friday night. The waitress was OK with taking everyones initial orders for food and drinks. After the food was actually brought out, our waitress was responsible for 12 people - we were two tables - not hard to do; and she did not have any other tables to take care of. Operation: Proceed with the total ignoring of the tables, was thus commenced. We literally had to get out of our seats and find our waitress to ask for sides of rice, then to ask for the bill, and then to give my credit card for the bill. Shes too busy loafing around and chatting up with her friends at the bar to do her job. Then she brings us the bill with the two tables combined. "Its OK if everythings combined into one bill, right?" No, no its not, since we have no idea what the other table ordered. Split it up, which she did after that was pointed out. The double fried chicken here is good obviously, but honestly everything else for food here is pretty underwhelming. Avoid unless you want the fried chicken. Negative reviews for this place are all pretty consistent across various sites - the service is awful here.

Even if certain items on the menu may be good. The service here is horrible. I dont usually write reviews, but its come to a point where Im fed up with how idiotic the service here. This was what happened today: I called to place an order for pickup. One medium wings and a crispy salmon salad. The gentleman taking my order over the phone said itd be 30 minutes. I went After 30 minutes. Give or take 35-40. I was checking the time. When I got there, they said the crispy salmon salad wasnt ready. And it would be another 10 minutes. So I said ok, thats fine. OVER 30 MINUTES LATER. Two people that came after me to place an order for pickup Right than and there instead of calling in earlier, GOT THEIR ORDER FIRST. 10 minutes before I got mine. It took over an HOUR to receive my order, that I placed in early morning. Mind you, this place wasnt even BUSY. How pathetic is that. How long does it take you to complete one dish? Like seriously? For an order that was CALLED IN AHEAD OF TIME. So frustrating. Waste of my time and many. Just because food is ok, customers walk away due to poor service, FYI.

Youre really not gonna go wrong with Bon Chon. The only reason the Lowell restaurant gets 3 stars instead of a billion is because the Cambridge location gets the billion stars and that was my first Bon Chon experience. The Cambridge chicken is crispier, the cole slaw is WAY more flavorful, and you get one side of slaw, and one side of daikon. At the Lowell location you have to choose between the two. Either way and at either location, this is still the best Korean BBQ West of... well... Korea?

Fried chicken was amazing. Very light, airy crust, just crispy enough so that it was crunchy but not unpleasantly hard. Succulent and moist meat. Bold, flavorful sauces. Very different from American style fried chicken. Fried rice was rich and addictive. Spicy means SPICY here. Their pickled diakon is incredibly refreshing and delicious. Great to eat with their friend chicken. Great atmosphere, reminded me of the atmosphere at GEN bbq.

great food, TERRIBLE SERVICE for delivery. could not get them to answer questions about a deliver for almost 2.5 hours, playing constant phone tag, where ppl would take my number and never call back. after repeated calls, they told me the driver didnt even have my order and they lost it. they can be pretty slow at the best of times, but this cinches it. Wont go through this frustration again.

Just got Bonchon for the first time. It was amazing. We got the house rice, spicy wings, and potstickers. Everything was delicious (a little spicy like mouth burning) but it you can take the heat the food was great. Will definitely be ordering food from there again.

Love the food. Waiters were kind. Although they can get busy and take some time to get back to you, they are very sincere. I like the atmosphere. Their spicy chicken drumsticks are amazing and the rice is perfect every time.

unprofessional staffing and waiters plus aweful misrepresentation of korean food as a chain owned by a perqson who "hooks" their homies up with free food. I notice the chicken is kind of different than last years. IMJS

I have been a number of times, nothing matches the flavor of their chicken (wings and strips) and it is literally the best fried rice I have ever had. Take out is good, but eating there the chicken is even better.

I usually come here in groups of 2-4, I would say once every few weeks. Bulldak is good. Service is fine, I wouldnt say its awful at all. When we need something we just ask for it.

I usually order takeout of their garlic soy chicken drumsticks. But the couple times Ive eaten there, havent been too impressed with their bibimbap & tonkatsu. Tasted a bit bland.

Chicken wings are good. Asian flavor compare to American fried chicken or Buffalo wings. Other food are not really Korean, maybe call them American Korean.

Ordered on foodler. Chicken and potstickers overcooked. Food arrived cold. Flavor was not good. I would never order from here again.
