This Olive Garden is in a restaurant row on the southbound side of Concord Pike. If youre going northbound, left-turn access is via a traffic light intersection at the start of the restaurant row. Ive been to this restaurant row a number of times and Ive never had a problem with parking. Even at peak dining hours, you can always find a parking space at the far edge of the lot and because of the size and shape of the lot, theres not a single spot here that is too long of a walk from the restaurant. I must confess I havent been to an Olive Garden for quite a long time, not because I didnt like it but because Id assumed it was too upscale for me. However, they send out coupons and I noticed that their "pronto" lunch menu is reasonably priced. Service was fantastic. My server was super-attentive, paced the meal nicely, and anticipated some of my requests. I had the unlimited salad, but the initial salad bowl was so huge that I didnt need to ask for a second helping. The veggies seemed fresh and crisp. I only wish there was a choice of dressing other than Italian. The pumpkin cheesecake was very good too. The only part of the meal that I thought was mediocre was the main entree itself. I didnt think the Italian meatball breadstick sandwich was that great, although Im not sure if I should have expected any better. Anyway, this restaurant turned out better than I thought and is worth a revisit, although perhaps Ill wait until after renovations are complete. The exterior looks rather unfinished now, although construction didnt seem to affect the dining area.

Weve been regular customers of Olive Garden and we go there at least once every month. Our family really enjoys the minestrone soup and breadsticks and we have never really had a bad experience before this. So, our waitress, Megan, appeared friendly and we saw her at the front desk when we checked in. We got salad and minestrone soup along with the main entrees and appetizers. As I brought my whole family along with grandparents, we had them have soup along with us. The waitress apparently didnt like us sharing food. We had only one refill of the soup and we didnt even get a refill for salad. Normally, minestrone soup is refilled more than one time even if it is just one person eating it by themselves. Megan didnt even bother to ask us whether we wanted dessert and we wanted to get tiramisu. Though she did bring all the food pretty quickly and the food in the way we had requested. But, she just hurriedly placed the check on the table. We were surprised to see she charged us for both the soup refills while Olive Garden prides itself and lures customers for its "unlimited" soup. Who would have thought you would have to pay extra for every refill of "unlimited" soup. When we brought up the overcharge issue, she sent the manager to talk to us. He wasnt anymore helpful than she was. He kept interrupting and did not even make an effort to help when we told him we were regular Olive Garden customers. This was a very unsatisfactory experience and we will not go back to the Talleyville, Delaware Olive Garden ever again.

We usually have lunch here every 6 weeks or so and things are normally enjoyable - except for the music. I dont know why they think we want to feel like we are at a dinner theater listening to some loud singer all the time! Its called "background music" for a reason! Anyway, we got there a little on the late side and ran short of time. We were each only able to eat the salad and soup. No meal. We were waiting for a bit, the waitress did say our entrees would be coming out soon, but fifteen more minutes went by and it had not. Our transportation arrived so I had to go to the front desk and ask them to tell the waitress to box it up so we could take it home with us. We were home within fifteen minutes so our food was still warm, just needed a little reheating. Mine reheated just fine - I had the Ravioli di Portobello. My moms meal, however, was hard after heating it up. She had to have the chicken breast ground up and a sauce added to it to eat it. She said it was very dry. The lunch out was for her so it was disappointing to bring it home and have it be basically inedible. She wont order the Citrus Chicken Sorrento again.

Food is passable; not bad, not too good either. Will someone turn off that cheesy music! How many times can you list. en to Dean Martin crooning "Thats Amore" as well as other psuedo-ethnic tunes from the 1960s? Why does cheesy music need to be so loud, anyway? Kind of overpriced. No complaints about the service though. These people willingly gave us a free meal over the slightest dispute. At least they care about what the customer thinks. I have a suggestion: lower the price by about 10% and kill the attempts at "atmosphere." You guys just dont get that. How about trying silence. The music makes me want to barf.

The food was good, the service was OK too. I was disappointed when the bill came and we were charged $3.49 for one saucer of sauce to dip the 3 bread sticks in. The salad, bread sticks(3), one small saucer of sauce for dipping, and dinner came at the same time, not a good serving idea. I think that a big chain like Olive Garden, should tell the customer how much it is for the dipping sauces. Other places charge $.50 to $.75 for their dipping sauces. I will think twice before I come again, and will be a little smarter from now on. (Sunday, May 1st)

We have ordered take out from here before without any issues. I dont know what happened tonight. I ordered from the take out menu, catering meal combinations, for some friends that were over tonight. We told them of the great take out service you had. The lasagna was burned on the bottom and the meatballs had no sauce. The menu does not mention there is no sauce and when I placed the order, no one asked if I wanted any or not. For dinner we had pan blackened lasagna with a side of hamburgers. Our friends were not impressed. Gene Pulcher

Traveling with a dog so we asked for a table toward the front and on the side we parked. Host at the front said no problem. Javier who seated us. Looked at empty tables on the side we asked for but told us none were available. Walked us to the opposite side and tried to seat us in the back cormer booth. I then requested a table vs booth. We were seated 2 tables away. Still on the opposite side and the back of the room.

I found a hair in my food that was dark and curly. The manager came up to our table and indicated we would get my meal complimentary and offered free desert. I said i would think about it and the manager said he would come back in a few minutes to check on me and my date. He didnt come check on us and our waiter charged us for the desert that was supposed to be free. Basically all in all poor service and poor food.
