I came here with some friends. My girlfriend and I got a Boston cooler and a order of cheese fries. The cup the Boston cooler came in had mold stuck to the sides that you could mix into the shake. Unfortunately, I had drank half it and already paid for it when I noticed. I told the waiters, who in turn told the owner/manager who was busy pouring his friends shots of booze. He didnt apologize or offer to refund us, he just kept drinking with his friends. Long story short, I will NEVER go back to this place. The Boston cooler tasted weird(probably the mold in it) and the cheese fries were nothing special either.

As Im not from the area, the most wonderful thing about visiting the Detroit area is the abundance of tiny burger places selling tiny burgers. Every time I visit the area I try one or two but the one I always make a point to visit is Comet Burgers. The staff is friendly and the food wonderful. The burgers are buttery and amazing. The handmade malts and shakes are great (and you get the mixing cup!). The prices are too low for the quality of the food. If youre anywhere nearby you owe it to yourself to eat here.

This is a great hidden gem if you want dinner at a diner. The burgers are amazing and very affordable, though note theyre the old-school small burgers so you may need to get a pair of them plus fries. Shakes and malts are divine. Ive seen it a bit busy during lunch, since there isnt a ton of seating, but if you can get in give it a try. Would much rather come here than most of the other burger joints in the area...

Very nice place! Great food, but can seem a little unclean at times... Update: I tried this restaurant on every occasion I have had the same waitress and she has not been welcoming and comes off as if she hates working here. She is never very welcoming this is my fourth time here and with customer service like this it can really bring down a quality experience of a restaurant.

I love their burgers here. I like to walk around Royal Oak and then come here for some nice Comet Burgers. The servers are very friendly. On accident, I spilled my drink on the table and by my burger and he offered me a new one. I just love how you can watch them cook your food if you sit at the bar. I would highly recommend Comet burger if you want a nice, delicious, burger.

Not your typical burger joint. Its old school and i like it. Sliders are slightly bigger than white castle burgers. Burgers have texture so you forget your eating a slider. I love the wings. There big and reasonably priced. In fact the entire menu is cheap so its a good place to visit after bar hopping downtown royal oak.

Probably one of the uncleanliest places Ive visited. Stored raw meat outside of cold table. Stainless steel is extremely dirty. Girlfriend had to go to bathroom right after if you know what I mean. Great price for the food, but its a health hazard waiting to happen.

Skip the coney for a late snack. Comet has what you need. Amazing little burgers steamed on the grill right in front of you. Jones Sodas? Yep. Ice Cream? Got it. Its not one of the fancy places downtown, but it fills a whole different need.

One of my favorite burger places. The monster burger with bacon is a favorite with a side order of waffle fries. The servers are always very nice. and the prices are very affordable for the amount of food you get.

For a classic slider dinner, this place is pretty clean. The sliders are good, with cheese, bacon, and onions as options. Good milkshakes, decent fries. Great place to take kids and sit at the bar.

Best sliders in town tied with little Bros. Mainly for the 2am crowd but suitable for kids during the day. Superman ice cream is pretty sweet to have as an option as well.
