Wow. This place is *SO* unprofessional. I know they own at least one other place so you would think they had a better trained staff and were a bit more professional. After reading several reviews, it seems that this place keeps getting the same comment about poor customer service and a terrible, always angry manager. I placed an order on their website at 9:12pm (they are open until 10pm). At around 9:50pm, I called to check up on my order since I dont live too far and hadnt ordered anything that should take too long. The girl that answered the phone asked for my name, my address and where I had ordered from. I gave her all of the info and she said "oh, that order is on its way." 20 minutes later when nothing had shown up yet (I live about a 5 minute walk from Ripe) I gave them a call to find out what was going on. The man that answered the phone told me that he didnt have any orders and that they were closed. I told him that it wasnt a new order and that I had placed the order about an hour prior to the phone call and had even spoke with a girl 20 minutes before that who took all of my info and told me my order was on its way. His response was that there were no orders left to go out and that they had just shut off the grill so he was sorry but they wouldnt be delivering my food and would refund my credit card for the charge. Please tell me where, exactly, I should place a new order from on a Wednesday night at 10:15pm? Thanks a lot. The only thing he should feel sorry for is himself because thats how you loose loyal customers. Unbelievable.

I live down the block from Ripe, and Ive been there at least once a week for a year or two now. At this moment, Im chowing down on their Protein Garden wrap. This wrap is a perfect example of what youll get from this place: An overpriced, dry concoction onto which they slap an appealing-sounding name to make it seem healthy and fresh, but which consists of 99% rice and beans, or some other cheap ingredient, in the case of other menu items. Most of the items youll see on the menu will be similar. Theyll promote the one ingredient you want, but youll undoubtedly be disappointed with how much of that quality ingredient youll actually get. I often eat their quesadilla also, but it consists almost exclusively of chicken, a few shreds of cheese, and a soft tortilla. FYI: Youll need a giant glass of water to wash that one down. The fresh tomatoes and avocado youd like (and that youd imagine would be included, given the price) wont be there. Their salads are a joke, too. Theyll provide a plastic container filled with romaine lettuce, a couple of extraordinarily thin slices of avocado, with a cup of dressing too small for the amount of lettuce. So why do I go back? Because there are so few decent, somewhat healthy options on Austin Street, I almost have no other choice unless I want to cook myself. But when another similar establishment opens, Ill be ecstatic to move my business there. I really try hard to love this place, but Im just disappointed every time with what I get for my money.

Ripe Juice Bar used to be good, but seriously customer service SUCKS! They messed up my order and when I called telling them this, the manager transferred my call to someone else who then transferred it right back to him. This guy was rude and was like we can only give you store credit. Why? If you messed up my order, you should send the delivery guy over to give me what I paid for. When I asked for the correct order to be sent- he told me it will take 30-45 mins and asked if it was worth it. Really? I told him that I am paying for something and not getting it, so ye its worth it. He then told me never to order from them again. Nice. I assure you I wont, but just a tip to any other customers thinking of ordering food from there- the quality of the food has gone down and they clearly dont care about their customers. Save your money and go somewhere else. Needless to say, I will be doing a chargeback and will never order from here again!

It is extremely satisfying to have availability to a restaurant that serves satisfying yet healthy meals and juices in Queens. Unlike other restaurants, I was sure that I was receiving food that would actually enhance my health because it is organic and prepared without microwaves or fryers. I was also extremely happy to finally find wheat grass, which is very hard to find in Queens. Hopefully another will open around Woodhaven and replace McDonalds, so that people can actually receive the nutrients their bodies crave for through the food served at this restaurant. Also, the workers are VERY friendly and conversational which encouraged me to return as my very own abode.

0 Stars because Ripe USED to be good. The changed their menu and sadly the quality of their food has changed drastically!! The got rid of their lunch menu strike 1, got rid of a lot of good menu items strike 2 and strike 3 and the food is borderline awful... I guess they care more about the money than the actual food now. I dont even waste my money here anymore. I didnt mind the prices but Im not gonna be paying more for crap just because its on Austin St. There are plenty of other restaurants who have had to raise the cost of food but didnt sacrifice on the taste and quality Id say they deserve my business! BOOOOO RIPE YOU SUCK NOW!

The worst service possible! I came today and had the nastiest hostess/server. I wish I got her name. blonde curly hair and never smiles... I bought a juice and wrap which cost me almost $25 and asked to sub an ingredient due to allergies and if course that was an extra cost. After getting my food I realized that it needed some dressing so then I asked for some and she had the nerve to try and charge me 82 cents for the dressing like cmon! Will never return there and someone needs to teach that woman what customer service looks like !

I work at the Post office so in the mornings I get a Açai smoothie to start the day. It taste so good and the lunch special is a good deal. Had the go beef wrap which surprised me. I usually get Halal but the wrap was filling, with the salad and I got a baked potato. Some of my co workers think the smoothies are over priced . Almost $8 seems like a lot maybe $6 would be better for them. When I have extra money I get one and I got my first free one today with the ripe card.

This was my very first job and i have to say i had the worst experience ever! i was a 18 year old girl who just needed a part time job to make some money... and must i say i was scarred for life. I was yelled at by the most disgusting disrespectful manager when i made one mistake. He would slam things and yell in spanish. He made me cry 3 times within one shift. The list goes on and on. I had a terrible experience here and i dont recommend anyone to work here.
