DO NOT eat here.... I feel compelled to write about our recent experience at the diner last night. My father ordered the roast beef (medium) -- his meat was so dry and well done. They were thin slices that looked like shoe leather. There was no gravy or au jus. By the end of dinner he had stomach pains, and he said later that it tasted funny and within a half hour of returning home he was so violently ill that he threw up repeatedly for about 10 minutes. I ordered the Homemade Stuffed Shells with sausage -- the sausage was overcooked but this was hidden with cheese. The marinara sauce was brown and did not taste like tomato sauce. I couldnt identify the taste but kept saying that it may have been covered with the gravy or au jus that should have been on my Dads roast beef. The shells were undercooked so they were very tough. The cheese filling had no spices or taste. My husband ordered the fish and chips -- the fish was overcooked and hard and dry inside. The fries were not fresh and it was obvious that they had been sitting around. My mom ordered Veal Francais -- this was the best meal at our table (and the only one that got eaten). Our mistake was that we did not complain. 3 meals were boxed up and brought home but none of us intended to eat them -- we were being polite. Since my Dad was so ill from his roast beef dinner, I feel that we should tell others so you do not make the same mistake that we did. This used to be a fantastic restaurant and we looked forward to going when we came to visit but AVOID the Starview Diner unless you want to clean out your entire system. I would predict that this restaurant will not be around much longer. The parking lot was nearly empty and I think that the community has already moved on to other restaurants because I cant imagine that this was a once in a blue moon situation. If 3 out of the 4 meals were inedible ---- form your own opinion. If you have a suggestion for a great place to eat in the area, please post.

My aunts and I went to the Starview Diner for a little girls night out. After having our appetizers, a couple of drinks, catching up on old times and laughing, a customer came over to our table and told us to shut our big fat mouths! We were stunned especially since we only laughed out loud one time! The manager came over and we told him what happened and said that we didnt appreciate the customer talking to us that way. When the customer came out the rest room and passed our table, he made another comment but this time my aunts told him if he had a problem, he should talk to the manager instead of us. He began yelling at us! We decided to ignore the customer and continue with our conversation. Next thing we know, the police come walking up to our table and said the manager wants us to pay and leave! We could not believe it!!!! We didnt do anything wrong but laugh out loud ONE time! Mind you we were sitting in the bar area where bars usually get loud. Why is it that this customer can come over to our table not once but twice and yell at us and say really nasty things to us but we are the ones that get escorted out??? And they made us pay for drinks that we just got served and did not get a chance to drink!!! The manager got really nasty with us after the cops came!!!! I am not one to pull the racism card but I have NEVER felt so disrespected and treated so unfairly in my life! I was completely speechless! All because we laughed out loud.....ONE TIME!

One of my friends was in your diner tonight and I was absolutely disgusted to hear the way she was treated by your staff. A host and a server sexually objectified her in addition to using transphobic slurs. They made comments to each other about my friend as if she wasnt there. They said things like, "oh theyre so cute, SO CUTE. Look at that. He? She? He-she? Hahaha." And other insulting and homophobic/transphobic slurs. My friend was humiliated. Im appalled that you employ such hateful and intolerant people at your business. We will be telling EVERYONE we know about this horrific experience my friend went through tonight at your business. YELP will be hearing all about this and Google Plus as well. What sickens me even more is when I went to this Facebook page, one of the first posts I saw was ANOTHER COMPLAINT ABOUT TRANSPHOBIC behavior at this diner!!!!! That tells me this isnt an isolated incident with one or two bad employees...its a reflection on the business and the business owner.

STARVIEW DINER WE LOVED IT! My brother and I have been sampling Diners since High School. We have eaten in diners in PA, NJ, Delaware and NY. STARVIEW is "THE BEST" DINER I have enjoyed thus far. The staff and our waiter were great! Very attentive. THE MEAL ** The Cheese roll, Cornbread and Ceasar salad so fresh and crisp we joked they must have picked the veggies that morning and baked all day. The turkey club had fresh cut turkey breast, crisp lettuce and bacon cooked perfectly. It was so filling my brother could only eat half. MY Corned Beef Reuben w fries....mmmmm mmmm mmmm what a treat! That corned beef was very lean, tender and seasoned well. Even the cole slaw was good. But the absolute best thing....that crisp pickle! That side always makes a great sandwich better when its fresh and crisp. (and after all that we still left full, with 2 to go containers and spent LESS THAN $30) I will post pics shortly

I went to the Diner this past week to see if they still have that waitress Jessica still working there after seeing her shoot drugs in her car in the parking lot and she is still there. Shame on you Starview Diner dont you know having someone that shoots drugs has high risk of Hepatitis and that puts the customers at risk with her handling our food. How can you jeopardize your customers lives like that. So I will help everyone not to go. I urge everyone do not go to Starview Diner until this problem is solved and our food is not at risk of being contaminated with Hepatitis because the Diner does not care who serves the food. If you people at Starview Diner care about your customers you will get rid of this problem and make your Diner a cleaner and safer environment for everyone. So if anyone goes to this Diner and you see a waitress named Jessica working so your selves a favor and walk out

My husband and I have dined at this dinner on many occasions. The food is usually good with good portions. We went there on 7/2/14, for dinner. A beautifully prepared salad was served before the main course. However, one mouthful into the salad, I bit down on a DIRTY SCREW!!! I was appalled! I got up and got the manager to come to our table so he could see it for himself. He looked at it in disbelief (as did I) and rendered some ridiculous excuse for how it may have gotten there. He was not very apologetic, and was rather nonchalant about the whole thing, simply asking if I wanted another salad. I was very disappointed at the way he handled that matter. Had I broken a tooth on this screw, Im sure I would have had to sue them to pay for it, to say nothing of the health hazard issue of it. Going forward, Ill rethink eating there again.
