If the stars went into the negative I would choose that. Went there last night for my sons 16 birthday. First, the food was mediocre. Salad was soft and the dressing was like water, the soup was not good at all, the sushi was actually kinda good, and the hibachi was ok... cooked well but quality wasnt there. Seems as if the owner(s) are mailing it in with the food quality. The BIG problem was we asked 2 different servers for cake or something for my sons birthday... Both times I got "sure sure" but we got NOTHING. On my way out I had a chat with the owner. I got his apology .. that it... nothing. When servers suck, look to the management, they probably suck too. I will not only NEVER go back, but I will make sure I let everyone I know this story. As I told the owner "if your staff wonders why they got a 8% tip and you wonder why you go out of business, you should think back to this conversation... you cant stay in business without customers"

High price, mediocre food and absolutely terrible service. The cost was more in line with Boston than NH, about twice what youd pay in the Manchester area. That alone wouldnt be a problem, but the food was only so-so, and the service atrocious. Rude waitstaff that rushed us through dinner in spite of plenty of empty tables and an early hour. We were asked to pass water and entrees down the table family style rather than serving us individually - even wth plenty of room for full service. Entrees were brought out as they were prepared resulting in a 10 minute span between when the first of us was served to the last. We needed to ask for water to be refilled, and the kicker came when they began clearing around us as we were still eating (plenty of space to reach over eating diners to clean up, but not enough to serve?) I had to ask that my tempura sauce be returned as I was not finished eating.

Terrible experience. My fiance and I went here for dinner and the sushi was not very fresh. Both of us ended up feeling ill later that night. Then, to top it off, I had ordered mochi ice cream for desert. The mochi I was served was dry and crunchy and tasted like perfume. Completely inedible. I can only assume it was several years old or more to get that way. My fiance asked the waiter if he could bring me what he was having instead. The waiter came back and told me that the chef refused to serve me because he did not think I would like anything he prepared! Then the waiter asked what was wrong with the mochi; had I had mochi before? Was it too sticky and soft for me? Yes Ive had mochi multiple times, what I was served was as opposite to sticky and soft as feasibly possible! Just awful. Will never go back.

Was there on a Saturday night. We were seated and had to wait for quite some time for others to be seated before some one came to take our drink orders. My wife has a seafood allergy and when I advised the cook of that he said he would make her food tomorrow. I get he was trying to be funny, but it wasnt. He did make her food before everyone else and it was really good. Unlike mine and my 2 sons food (fillet mingon and chicken teriyaki) which he cooked right next to another persons swordfish and scallops. Thus our food was fishy tasting and made us ill later. Nothing like cross contamination. Guess the cook missed that part of his Serv-safe class, if he even took one. I have been to other hibachi restaurants and the cooks are much more pleasant and personable. We will not be returning to Takumi.

Very nice place food and service was excellent! The chefs have a lot if energy and made it a very fun experience. The kids had a great time. This is somewhere u can go with the family or a date. Its a bit dark inside but very comfortable and well lit at each station. They have a nice fish pond. Theres a huge fish that looked like it wanted to be pet was almost out of the water and kept coming up like it wanted to jump into my arms lol. I think if they added a bit more to the entrance it would really pull the whole look together. But still its a very nice spot. Typical prices in comparison to other habachi restaurants.

I had my daughters Sweet 16 Party at Takumi in January 2015 and Motos was so great to deal with.He helped me set up her menu and gave me a great price per meal. Everyone got a printed out menu with my daughters name on it and a Happy Birthday wish! The chef put on a great show and all the kids loved it. All the staff was friendly and so accommodating! The food was great and there was so much of it.They let me bring in a cake and they actually cut and served it to all of us at no extra charge! I would recommend Takumi for any special occasion or just a nice dinner. Amy Mc Lowell, MA

This is one of my favorite local places to eat. The sushi is good, but I usually come here for the hibachi. They have an excellent deal for lunch most days where you get a fresh hibachi entree and a buffet that has things like fried rice, noodles, dumplings, shu mai, katsu, stews, and basic vegetarian sushi. Dinner is delicious and huge, and they have some choices you dont usually see at Japanese steakhouses like hibachi tuna steak and lamb. The chefs are all friendly and fun. The ambience is dark and tasteful. Ive been here many many times and plan to keep coming.

This is one of my top two sushi places in Nashua. Takumi has three options for meals: regular tables, sushi bar, and hibachi tables. If youre there for a special celebration or trying to impress a date or children, you cant beat the hibachi tables. The sushi bar is good for solo visits and the regular tables are... regular tables. The sushi is top quality and perfectly made with beautiful presentation. Staff are attentive and unobtrusive. The atmosphere is sensational. This is a must-visit restaurant. Try the omakase for the sushi. Say hello to the huge koi.

This place is amazing! Ive only been for the sushi, and it is phenomenal. The fish is definitely very fresh, the tempura is awesome... even simple things like the miso soup and salad are oddly delicious. They have a somewhat separate area for diners who are not getting hibachi, so its a little quieter and more private than the hibachi area. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated, and the service is excellent. Every time I have been, my food has come super fast, and they are always really friendly. I would definitely recommend Takumi to any sushi lover!

I used to go to this place at least once a week before I moved further away. I used to live in Japan and this is as close to authentic as anyone can ever get! The staff is always extremely kind and accommodating, and the food is consistently fresh and top notch. I cant imagine recommending any other Japanese/sushi place to my friends/family over this one. The atmosphere is beautiful! Also you must check out their lounge! They have an amazing collection of sake, wine, and beer from Japan! Great place for gathering with your friends and watching a game.
