I was impressed by everything. Its easy to get to with lots of off street parking available. The staff was very courteous and professional while also being friendly. It was busy when we arrived and I hadnt made a reservation. They said it would only be a 10 minute wait but had us seated in 5 minutes. They brought hot moist towels to the table. That might not sound like much, but its actually very nice to be able to was your hands at the table. The menu was a little difficult, but within a minute of opening it our waiter provided a tablet that included the full menu with prices, descriptions, and pictures, which made it very easy to make a choice. Ive eaten at a lot of sushi restaurants and I feel like the prices were typical. More than reasonable considering the quality and presentation of the food. We ordered two dishes from the specials menu, about $20 each. The presentation of the food was excellent, essentially art on a plate. Also, it may have been the best tasting sushi I have had. My date and I left full and very satisfied. We also spent less than $40, not including tip. Overall this was a great dinning experience, I dont have a single complaint.

I ordered the TRI-COLOR MAKI (Asparagus, tobikko and avocado, topped with salmon and wasabi tobikko). This is literally the best sushi I have ever had in my entire life. it reminded me why I love sushi. Besdies the fact that I am a big tobikko/roe/etc. fan and this roll offered lots of that, the reasons why I truly loved the dish are because: -The temperature of the salmon, asparagus and avocado were so perfect. It melted in my mouth. They were almost between room temperature and warm -The texture of the components were precise; crunchy tobikko and semi-crunchy asparagus -Delectable rice I have been to Daikanyama before, and never been anything but impressed, but now they have given me a dish I will ALWAYS crave and return for. I also tasted my colleagues pork rice bowl - hes addicted. Im not sure what magic youre putting into the food, but its cast a spell on me. I have not had something outstanding in a long time and I am very grateful! Ill be back soon :)

Small Japanese restaurant with a great offering a good sushi. The food is tasty and the atmosphere is nice. Kid friendly too (well, assuming your kids like sushi)! A little more expensive than other sushi restaurants in the suburbs and not quite as good as some top sushi restaurants in Boston, but we enjoy eating there.

Ive eaten here repeatedly with both family and colleagues, and never had a bad experience. The minute I told the waitress about my gluten allergies they pointed out all the items that were gluten free or could be made gluten free. Its very nice to safely eat and have variety at the same time.

Stay away. Super stingy portions and high prices. Food is average at best. The "white tuna" wasnt real. A lot better sushi restaurants around the area with a much better value. Quality of the miso soup is typically a good general indicator. Theirs isnt very good and its overpriced.

This is only based on a takeout order. I had a Japanese cold noodle, vegetarian. Tasted great - had nice sesame sauce, cucumber, avocado, and carrots - but portion is quite small, prob not enough as a meal for many adults. $16 feels a bit pricey for such a small portion.

High quality sushi in a small, often crowded, and a bit noisy atmosphere. I order takeout from here a lot, but rarely eat at their tables. I understand they are expanding into the space next door (formerly Tuto Italiano), which should improve the crowding.

Daikanyama definitely wins the prize for the most authentic Japanese food in Lexington. My Sushi Deluxe was fresh and had a wide selection - and was served in a sushi boat. My wifes nabeyaki udon had good noodles and wide selection of seafood.

Great sushi, a little expensive, but great food, definitely a good to place to enjoy an early dinner, doesnt open until 4:00 pm, arrived at 3:30 on my last visit and was disappointed that I had to miss out on this place, recommended.

Great place for some authentic Japanese food! Authentic in terms of tastes and the way food are cooked. A little bit pricy though. We tried tempura and the sushi combo, which are all great.

Good local sushi. Placed just recently remodeled. Staff is friendly and food is quickly brought out. Prices are little high for presentation. This place is our local favorite right now.

Great restaurant in Lexington, the best restaurant for Japanese. All of the food tasted fresh and delicious. Restaurant is quiet small and can get busy but take out is available.

S L O W! The food is OK but the service is very slow. They have only handful of waitresses and each has too many tables. We literally waited for 40 minutes for our appetizers.

The decor here is really nice, but the sushi isnt the best. The katsu is super heavy, which is to be expected, but it seemed to be more so than usual.
