Horrifically poor service. It was a beautiful day and we wanted to have a nice dining experience and take out our family for lunch. Waiter had such a bad attitude when we went for Saturday brunch. We watched other tables order after us and received their meals before us. He asked if we wanted the check when we still had not received our food. He then over charged us and had to re-do the whole check. The manager was very apologetic and did listen to us and discount our check. I wish I could take back the two hours of my life from this horrible dinning experience. This is not what I would expect for any dinning experience. When you dine out you expect a certain level of service, it is subpar here. I want to clarify that I had my baby shower at their Forrest Ave location but have eaten at their Hyland location plenty of times since it first opened. There is a reason why I had my baby shower at Forrest instead of Hyland, despite the Hyland location being the most convenient for us. Ive seen over the years how their service is steadily declining. There are plenty of other restaurants and bakeries that have good food with better service. It will be a very long time before I step foot at this place again, if that ever happens again.

This is hands down the best Italian Restaurant in Staten Island, and probably the best restaurant there period.Creative chefs serving excellent food. So far from the typical red sauce joint, or the places that think putting a sauce with brandy on veal is the height of haute cuisine. Try the Macaroni al Forno , a dish that is rich and tasty in a cream sauce and with chopped meat added,if you wish. Its a dish that should be shared. Order the tribute to Sicily, Basiate Trapanese made with twisted spaghetti and shimp or the Risotto al Tonno. The meat dishes are also original takes on traditional dishes. The Ragu di Vitello is a standout. Veal with leeks, artichokes, potatoes with a touch of cream. It goes without saying that the pastry is out of this world, but the gelato is not to be missed. Real Italian gelato. Especially good is the Bacio. Enjoy!

Went for brunch and was very dissapointed. Dining area was extremely crowded, I accidentally hit the person behind me when I was taking off my jacket. When we requested to switch tables, we were denied the table of our choice and made to sit (again) crowded with others. Had to remind servers three times about our drinks (didnt receive them until food was served). They had no dairy-free options for coffee or tea. My food was not served as requested and breakfast potatoes were undercooked. I wouldve rated lower based on this one experience, but, I have been here before and am usually satisfied with food/service.

Horrible experience, arrived and had to wait 15 minutes just to be asked what I wanted to drink. Than another 20 minutes just to order my food with an ADDTIONAL 45-50 minute wait for our food to arrive, only to have food that was extremely unappealing. Best part of the experience was the coffee. Waitress was great very sweet, but overall service, food, and wait time atrocious. Overpriced, for 25$ plus I couldve been at a brunch buffet Instead. Waste of time and money. Will never be returning here.

What a wonderful day we had at Pasticceria Bruno I drove in from Queens and It was very easy to get to. I made my reservations on line which was very easy. I didnt expect what was out on the table. There was a fresh fruit platter plus a bakery platter. Then our food came which was delicious.Did I forget to tell you we had a drink and the coffee was great. We werent rushed and the service was excellent. I really enjoyed my day at Brunos !!

Ive been coming here for years. You will see the owner, his wife, and daughter and family working who are amazing, greeting you with a heart-warming smile. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The food is so good it will have you head over heels and then getting up for more. The bakery is great, I fly the cannoli from here to family in other states because how good it is. Come here and you will enjoy yourself.

The cannolis here are famous for a reason. They are perfectly sweet (but not too sweet) and the ricotta really stands out. The pastry is flaky and melts in your mouth when you bite. They have an incredible array of pastry options to choose from, so there is something for everyone from every culture (they had French, Italian, and American pastries, etc.).

This place has the worst service!! When we first came in we were waiting there for about 5 minutes. There were 3 workers in front of us with their backs turned. Then finally some man with a suit turned around and looked at us all stupid and rudely asked us how many people. The desserts were even that good and the male workers all have looking problems!

Cannot say enough great things about this bakery! Requested a two tier zebra themed cake for my daughter when she got out of the hospital. Needed it in 48 hours for her Sweet 16 and they went above and beyond to fill my request. Also, I was surprised, but their price was very fair! I will be forever grateful!

If you like dessert you will LOVE this place! Their owner/pastry chef, Sal, is top notch! Your mouth will water upon entering, and you will probably end up with much more than you intended on leaving with! Ive never eaten dinner here, but definitely plan on trying it soon. Dessert, dessert, dessert!

Nothing better than ending your weekend to a nice Sunday brunch & @pasticceriabruno was a great place to do that and celebrate a friends birthday. Brunch was reasonable with good price with complimentary fruits and baked goods, if you dont feel like cooking Sunday morning, definitely go here.

Normally, I enjoy their food and desserts. But the last couple times I wasnt happy. I was sold old seven layer cookies. And I picked up an apple pie for my fathers birthday, and for a famous baker and bakery, the fake apples wasnt too yummy. Im disappointed in this bakery.

SI is so lucky to have such sophisticated place to enjoy great food. Any food and drink we have been ordering is an art taste wise and presentation wise. What Bleecker street lost ,SI gained. Awesome chef, staff, food, ie every aspect of this business is great.

The service has always been great. They also have some great brunch specials. They get pretty busy on Sundays so be early. The eggs benedict are very delicious also the French toast. The fruits are also always fresh. They have great gelato and pastries.

These ratings are soooooo deceiving. I went here TWICE and I realized that this is just secretly a shitty IHOP disguised as a bistro with high prices and trust me you will REGRET what you will wind up paying for their CRAP!
