Ive been going to You You for about 3 years now pretty frequently, and recommended a good number of my friends there as well. As an avid sushi fan I found that the quality of fish and rolls at You You was worth their expensive prices. Unfortunately tonight I had my first negative experience. I ordered six rolls for two people for $70, all of which were poorly crafted. A few of the rolls were missing sauce, but these were the least of my complaints. The tuna in particular was just awful, the worst I had ever had. Finding this unusual, I called You You to inform them of this. At first I spoke with a kind receptionist who was apologetic, and offered to reimburse me for the tuna. Her manager must have caught wind of this because I immediately received a phone call back from him demanding that I drive the tuna back to him to show him. This was obviously an unreasonable request as I don’t live very close, and what ensued was an argument that featured him calling me a liar and laughing at me in front of patrons. Obviously I dont plan on going back, and I will encourage you and my friends to do the same. Its unfortunate because the sushi is typically pretty good, but the prices are just far too steep to risk this ever happening again (especially knowing that a refund apparently is not an option).

Ive been to many Japanese restaurants all across America, but this place was THE worst Japanese restaurant Ive ever been to. This place is a total RIP-OFF. Usually, I can tolerate even if its a little expensive because you would have to import some product from Japan, but all the food I ate from there didnt include any, except for maybe miso soup. Sushi only had cucumber and some fake crab meat stuff you could get at a local grocery store. Tempura were all American (broccoli, sweet potato, onion, etc.). Their service were pretty bad, too. Usually, Japanese restaurants have great service, but here, they didnt even say,"thank you," after I was done with the meal or left the place. They were just talking to each other, chatting. I would expect more than that for a meal costing $30 or more per/person. I think what you are paying extra for is the atmosphere, which is still mediocre. This place is for people who have no experience going to Japanese Restaurants and not know what to expect for that price.

This used to be a decent place but unfortunately the delusional owner is under the impression that his product is high end and that his staff cant make mistakes... and rather than see for himself by opening up the remainder I had brought back, he instead told me that it was impossible for them to have gotten it wrong. He actually argued with me while the evidence was whisked away by his partner and disposed of. Unprofessional, poorly managed front of the house, unfriendly bar tender and improperly prepared food made up this third attempt by me to enjoy what others have raved about. Sad that Nashua, with its many fine eateries and improving restaurant culture must endure this declining, poor excuse for a "bistro". Its no wonder theyre closed for lunch for the summer. Im hopeful that theyll soon close all together and give a real restaurateur a chance. July, 2017.

Starting outside - Bad parking and hard to find Inside - waited for hostess for a couple minutes during slow dining time. (4 people dining). Menu was very pricey especially after seeing the small portion on our plates. chicken was dry and sushi rolls (2 of 3) smelled so we didnt eat it. (waitperson didnt ask why our lunchboxes were still full (except for salad - the only edible item...). One person did try the cucumber roll and was not well when we returned to work. (had to leave the office). If you want to spend a lot of money on food that you cant find on your plate and then get sick ...

I like You You. The sushi is very fresh and well prepared. The atmosphere is nice and the service is good. I like their Korean dishes as well. My only complaint is that recently they changed their Ok Dol Bibim Bap (the rice with veggies and meat served in a hot stone bowl) dish and used a marinated, very sweet beef. I didnt like the beef because it was too sweet. The used to not do this - the meat that was served with the bibim bap did not taste overly sweet or heavily marinated. Other than the too sweet bibim bap, I really like this restaurant.

Went for lunch 4/16 Saturday. Ive always had great food and service here. Lunch is a limited menu which is disappointing by itself but the fact that food quality and service was way below expectations left me wondering why? Sushi was buffet quality with virtually no rice rolled into the seaweed. Green curry dish was uninspiring and a pasty lump goo without flavor. Tempura lunch box was so so and uninspiring. The best part of lunch was the two Kirin beers shared between the three of us. Left $80 lighter after 20% tip. Not likely to return.

As others have noted, the bi-bim-bap (mixed rice and vegetables dish) is quite good. The accompanying sauce tended toward a little sweeter flavor than Id normally prefer but not unpleasantly so. Also tried the sweet shrimp. Though the raw tail was good, the dish ultimately disappointed as the fried portion was heavily dipped in batter and only partially fried. Leaving the cavity full of mostly uncooked batter. As noted in ratings, worth going to as a good pan-Asian/sushi restaurant. Ill probably skip the ama-ebi next time...

Perfect balance of excellent food, a professional and attentive staff, and pleasant decor. Full disclosure:. I work part-time for a fishmonger, and I get to know how to tell what is in season, what is fresh, and the subtelties of good preparation. You You is one of those rare places where every aspect of the meal is carefully and lovingly prepared and presented. Our waitress was enthusiastic without being obtrusive. To repeat: perfect balance and harmony make You You a wonderful dining experience.

Just recently renovated and the place looks great. You wouldnt say so from the outside, since it could probably use a new sign and a coat of paint, but the inside is updated and modern. The service was great, we came somewhat early in the evening and actually had 2 people serving us! All the food was delicious. I had the pad Thai and they actually put red pepper flakes and more peanuts on the side so you can add them to your liking. Highly recommended! Will be visiting often!

to the person who said this was the worst Japanese Rest they have been to, then I guess you dont like Japanese food or have no sense of taste, the food is wonderful, have have eaten in Japanese restaurants all over the country and in Japan is this place ranks in the top 10. Tfhe staff is very friendly and service great, got a hello and welcome and very warm goodbye come again when I exited. Over all I give it a 4 1/2 stars out of 5, keep up the good work.

Ive lived practically around the corner from YouYou for years, and have had takeout brought home to me a few times, but until last night, had never been in to dine. We visited around 5:00 on a Monday night. We were seated immediately, and served by Briana, who provided excellent service with a smile. The food, which I already appreciated from takeout, was even better in the dining room. I eagerly anticipate our next visit.
