This place is Amazing!! Wow.... thats about all i can say. I feel so fortunate to have a great Sushi place so close to home. I have eaten sushi all over the country and for being in Pella, IA this place stacks up nicely. Friendly, professional, welcoming atmosphere. Prices are incredible. Menu is just right, something for everyone.. even if you dont like fish. Sushi and Shashimi are always fresh and delicious. Very friendly to my children. I give this place an 11 out of 10 Thank you Yamato for exisisting in our rural area!!

I am very picky about my sushi and before I found this place I would normally travel the world 60 miles to have Waterfront. This is a lot closer to home and a lot more affordable. The owners are very nice and the lady has been awesome with my kids on several occasions, Doing anything from bringing up bananas from the kitchen to soothe my fussy baby or offering to feed him so I could eat. They are great people and I love love love this restaurant

Currently my favorite restaurant in Pella. Yamato provides a nice change of pace to all of Pellas typical restaurants. Nice interior, good food, reasonable prices, I highly recommend. Just try it out, even if you dont like sushi, they have options such as hibachi chicken, salmon, steak, chicken/shrimp/scallop/beef/salmon teriyaki and others. Of all restaurants in Pella, I would care the most if this one wasnt here.

Restaurant has a great, relaxing environment. We were immediately pleased with our last minute dinner choice. Service was excellent as our waitress was friendly and pleasant. Our sushi was absolutely wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area; great little place for a date or quiet dinner...even during the hustle and bustle of Tulip Time.

Ive been to at least four different sushi restraunts in my life so far, the sushi here is pretty good, maybe not the best Ive tried so far, but pretty close, really great service, and the variety of flavors in the other dishes outside of the sushi is great, just wish they had more options on the menu, Im always a fan of trying new things.

Finally a place local. I have traveled to des moines ,Omaha, Memphis, Jonesboro for sushi and this place is competitive. The atmosphere is that of most sushi bars. Small, lowlight and great sushi. The hibachi wasnt anything special. Peppery in my opinion and somewhat dry. Overall I would recommend. Great prices without the drive!!

This is my favorite place to eat when I come to Pella. I was hesitant at first because Yamato Steakhouse is a franchise/chain restaurant. But the sushi is top notch. Their tempura is perfect. Great service too.
