over the last year the food quality and service have spiraled downward. the last two times we went for lunch in person the food was terrible and took forever to get. the server was pretty much nonexistent, making the wait that much more irritating. recently we placed a large order through their website for delivery to our office. it took a long time to get here, which is somewhat understandable because it was about 10 meals, however... they took their phone off the hook so we couldnt even call to get a status on if they got our order or not. they took down their online menu ordering system. their contact us email page wouldnt accept any email addresses as being valid. when the food arrived, most of it was badly cooked, some dishes containing raw chicken. they completely omitted two of the meals from the order. we ordered several "fruit punches" that cost $1.75 each and got cans of sprite instead. no explanation, no lesser charge. this place is awful. dont waste your time and money.

Ordered online. Placed in comments that it was goind to a specific department. Got call from driver saying there were at delivery spot. No one to be found. Went outside to look for them and found no one. Called WaiWai and was told they would call driver. They called back and said he left food on second floor. NOT where he was supposed to. I told them that I could not be chasing food all around a hospital and to have it delivered correctly as paid for. They refused and hung up on me. I called back and was told to contact the company who does their on-line ordering. Food was cold by the time I found it on the first floor, (not even where they said it was left)/

Ive been in Pittsburgh for about a year, trying all the local Chinese food places. Its been a rough year, as all the Chinese food here sucks. Last week my boss recommended Wai Wais and I thought Id give it a shot cuz hes a foodie and I typically trust the word of the foodie. Got delivery last night, best Chinese food Ive ever had. I ordered two dishes, General Taos Chicken which is near impossible to mess up, and Mongolian Beef. The chicken was great but the Mongolian beef was insane. I doubt I will be going back to any other Chinese food place Ive visited except for Wai Wais. I recommend 1000x Thanks Adam cuz this place was perfect

Great place! Hey, this is quite a good American-Chinese restaurant. I was quite surprised and went there based on the reviews here. The waitress was very nice and courteous. The food is pretty good. I wouldnt say it equals Hong Kong cuisine, but I enjoyed it very much. The lunch specials at $5.95 is reasonable, the green tea at $1.75 comes in a teapot with two tea bags. The fried wanton with garlic sauce was good though, I would have prefer it being less like pierogies in skin thickness and more like Jiaozi / gyoza. I will definitely come back. They open at 11 am.

Timely delivery and good portions, food is quite delicious, especially for a delivery place. They have dinner boxes which include a main dish, rice, and General Tsos, so if youre feeling indecisive about what food you want, they are a great choice, and are guaranteed to fill you up. The General Tsos is fairly average fare for a delivery chinese restaurant, though perhaps sweeter than most may be used to, which is not a bad thing. The noodles are delicious, as well as the fried rice, and the meats are cooked quite well. Very good experience in general.

The food was tasty, I ordered steamed pork dumplings and shrimp in garlic sauce. The dumpling were very good, not all stuck together and spiced just right. The Shrimp was suppose to be “hot” like many Chinese restaurants claim, but tasted sweet to me, which was fine. The veggies were crisp and not overcooked. I stayed at a local hotel and had it delivered, the delivery guy called me minutes after I ordered, I assumed to verify my address, but was actually waiting for me in the lobby already!

Ordered delivery from here, and it came more quickly than anticipated - nice. But then I ate the food.... Not sure why this place got such glowing reviews. I tried the eggdrop soup, veggie spring rolls, and beef lo mein. Nothing was terrible, but nothing was better than decent, either. It was Chinese food that satisfied a craving, but I didnt feel good about it afterwards. Will definitely try somewhere else next time.

I had delivery service. Now Im no food critique or any of the such, but I have been around high end food for my whole life. Anyway, I ordered Combination lo mein, Crab Rangoon, and Egg Drop Soup for my friend and I. The phone service was fantastic. The food was SUPER cheap; was definitely well priced for the quantity as well as quality. Overall, I think I found my new favorite Chinese delivery place. :]

Have ordered from here a ton since we spend a lot of time at childrens hospital. This time I ordered, the general tso was so dry, the rice was horrible and I put a delivery time of 830pm and it came at 740pm. The only good thing was the crab Rangoon but was not what I expected for $41 + $6 tip. Dont think Ill order from here next time we are admitted.

I was saddened that the fastest delivery would be 12:45 but pick up was 12:15. Anyway, I picked up my food, was immediately greeted and was out quickly. Parking is a little of a challenge. The crab rangoons are out of this world! And the price is just right. The teriyaki chicken on a stick could use more sauce but overall the food was delicious.

We just picked up carry-out from Wai Wai and it was FANTASTIC. We ordered General Tsos Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Singapore Mai Fun, and Triple Delight with egg rolls and crab rangoon. Everyone was happy with their entree, the food was ready when we got there and the service was friendly. This is my new favorite Chinese restaurant!

Pretty good Chinese...fresh and fast delivery. Better than a lot of other places in the area. Main gripe...It would be great if they didnt put so many items straight from a fryer/hot pan into a styrofoam to-go container. It melts the styrofoam and makes you not want to eat the food thats melting your container away.

If youre looking for outstanding American-Chinese food, this is the place for you. The service is friendly restaurant is comfortable and their delivery is prompt. I have never been disappointed in a dish I have gotten here. My personal favorites are the crab rangoon, the hot and sour soup, and the general tsaos.

The man operating the register and greeting guests was rude and should know what is needed without us hav I g to ask for every little thing like a fork,a spoon, some napkins etc. Also the to go box is very small for close to 8 bucks. Hope its better next time or I wont be back.

I have been ordering lunch/dinner boxes from Wai wai for a while. Their food is very tasty and fresh, and the delivery is especially fast. I would highly recommend anyone who want to have some delicious Chinese food delivered to their door.

Excellent food and quick, friendly service. High quality and delicious with good menu variety. Prices tiny bit higher than usually Chinese places but the huge portions more than justify it.
