Really nice pastry, sandwiches and coffee but on the expensive side. It would be great if you could read the print on the items in the cases. I could not read the lowest level items with or without my reading glasses yet I can read 2 point type on my cell phone. Also dont know how anyone over 60 can bend over far enough to see the front row of goodies. Sometimes the help can be pretentious, I guess it rubs off from the peeps who have moved into Marin in the last 20 years. You know what I mean if you came here in the 60s and 70s when Everyone Was Kind and Polite. EVERYONE!

Sometimes this place is super busy and other times during the week, it is moderate, and relaxing. If the place was never busy would you want to go there? So if it is a weekend brunch time or a summer afternoon, maybe you want to leave some extra time. Otherwise there are many tables inside and outside, bring a friend to chat and share the delectables. I really felt I had stepped thru a portal into Italy. Memorable if you only visit once, or are a regular. The entire street is delightful to window shop if you need to wait, or walk off your pastry!

The first and still the best. Excellent and massive selection of pastries, comfortable seating, indoors and out. Good sandwiches and other stuff for lunch as well. This is a great place to engage in people-watching, one of Marins primary past-times. The brewed coffee usually strikes me as a bit rough-edged, but that doesnt really matter when you consider the rest.

One of my favorite places to have coffee and desert. Great atmosphere, various sweets including cookies, chocolate candy, ice cream, cakes and even rombaba! There are also authentic Italian sandwiches and two items as soup and Meat. They have indoors with small tables for two and outdoors with tables for four.

Hands down the best Panettone in America. Roasts their own coffee and pastries are of solely Italian origin... Even makes their own chocolate, jellies and gelatos, High quality also equates to high price but its well worth it.
