Ordered a delivery all meat large last night 9/25/15. I gave the person taking the order on the telephone my information including spelling out the Graham Ave address. I waited and waited called the restaurant and was told the driver couldnt find the address. Apparently the address was written as Grand Ave which has happened before which is why I always spell the address. The delivery girl called me explained the situation and she was from out of town and didnt know the area. I finally went downstairs and was on the phone with her when she finally came running across the yard. She was very upset. I felt so sorry for her I tipped her $5 and made sure she was OK. I called the Maverick the next day and the person there was aware of the incident and said he would have the manager call me which it is 9PM on 9/26 and I have no return call as of yet. I told the guy I called this morning that I had the pizza still in the box and would bring it back but wanted a full refund. The experience was unfortunate and I think put a female delivery driver from out of town at risk with a wrong address. Very disappointed in the experience and cant speak to the quality of the pizza because it was never eaten. I want my debit card credited for the full amount and a formal apology made to the female employee as she was traumatized by the event. I am waiting to hear from the manager.

We had found Maverick Pizza to have high quality food at reasonable prices. So, we were ordering regularly and telling all friends to patronize. However, on 10/23/15, we found both delivered pizzas too bubbly and burnt, far beyond crisp as we had asked for. When we called to tell about our disappointing experience, Mitch told us that both pizzas "were beautiful by Maverick standards." The worst, however, was the unexpected rudeness at the end of phone conversation. Mitch told us that he “will remove the charge, but don’t order (from Maverick Pizza) anymore!” Such an attitude certainly will not help Maverick Pizzas in growing the business.

This pizza is amazing. I think the quality is much higher than I would have normally expected. The owner care about the food, you can tell. This isnt your average pizza place. They ingredients are unique and the crust is much better than the chain pizza joints. They use corn flower or meal or something (you can feel the little pieces on the bottom of the pizza slices and see them in the box). It taste much better. I recommend the Buffalo chicken pizza. It is my favorite. I never would have thought of putting celery and ranch dressing on top of a pizza, but it works.

If youre looking for the best pizza and hoagies in town, look no further than Mavericks. The owners are clearly passionate about what they do, working alongside their highly-skilled, helpful, and friendly staff. The menu features a delicious mix of both classic and unique items. I recently tried the Philly cheese steak hoagie for the first time, which is now my new favorite. Give them a try, you wont regret it!

Awesome place. Mitch, the owner is a really down to earth guy and makes one hell of a pizza. The only thing I will warn you is once you order from them once, youll be addicted. This has quickly become my favorite neighborhood restaurant. Reasonably priced, fast delivery, and really good food! PLUS they have Sebastian Joes ice cream which they also deliver! This place is great. Their pizza is fantastic-the crust is the perfect mix of thick and thin, the sauce fantastic, and the ingredients are always fresh and delicious. I have eaten pizza just about everywhere, and Mavericks puts most of them to shame. They have awesome soda selections (crazy ginger ale, root beer, mexican coke). Forget pizza hut, dominos, all those other places, just call Mavericks.

Ive gotten takeout here three times now - Yum!! Perfect balance of crust, sauce, and toppings. Their homemade sausage has a hint of fennel, which I love. The crust was crisper on the personal size versus the large, so if you want crisp, scale down. The staff is also very friendly, and I like that you can see right into their very clean kitchen. Fun to watch, in case you have to wait a bit.

BEST PIZZA in Saint Paul. This sauce is not overly sweet, with just the right amount of spicy. The crust is crispy, not soggy. Me and the boyfriend recently got a deep dish ultimate pizza and ate the entire thing in one sitting (thats how good it is). Beats out Pizza Luce any day for a good overall, solid pizza pie thats not overloaded with toppings and wont break the bank.

Fantastic! The ingredients were fresh, the crust was crispy, and the overall flavor was excellent! We had the taco pizza. This was not your typical taco pizza with iceberg lettuce and Doritos crumbled on top, it had culinary finesse and exquisite flavor. Pizza Luce has been downright disappointing and overpriced. They better watch out for the new kid in town!

In this day and age, its hard to find delicious food at a fair price, especially delivered with a smile. Not only is the pizza top notch, their salads are generously portioned, and they stock Sebastian Joes ice cream too (best in the city, try the Nicollet Ave Pothole, amazing). Great food, amazing people, theyve definitely become my favorite pizza place.

We moved here recently and discovered Mavericks right away. It is outstanding! Every pizza we have ordered has been wonderful, the service is fantastic, and Mitch, the owner, truly cares about his customers and his products. It is a slice of pizza heaven... AND it has Sebastian Joes ice cream. Who could ask for more?

Good quality ingredients done well. Brilliant menu. Those who wrote bad reviews on the pizza would be better to get Dominoes, that is more their speed. They do not know pizza with quality toppings. The crust has just the right crispiness on the outside and chewyness as well as a good snap (perfect flavor).

Terrible service, terrible food, and a terrible value! Picked up food to-go and 1 of the 3 items I paid for didnt make it in the bag! Many of the menu items were not available because they were out if thing such as spaghetti noodles, beef ect! This place is a joke. Dont waste your time or money!!!!

Far and away one of the best pizzas weve ever had. We dont live in the area, but when we are, we make sure to swing by. You can tell the pizza is freshly made and high quality. We always finish it off with one of their hand made malts. Our fave is the Sebastian Joes Oreo malt - soooo tasty!

This small mom and pop pizza shop is tucked into a friendly neighborhood in Saint Paul, MN. The pizza is fantastic! The Ultimate specialty pizza wont disappoint! The crust isnt exactly "thin-crust" but its lighter and perfectly baked so all the flavor of the ingredients are enjoyed! 5 stars!
