If your idea of a good time is receiving the first food order at your table and the last food order at your table 30 MINUTES apart then Wasabi is the place for you!!! We are frequent customers and enjoy their food. The last 3 out of 5 visits the food orders at our table have come out 30 minutes apart!!!! It is horrible and stressful with 1/2 the table having their food and the other 1/2 just waiting and the food that is at the table is getting cold or warm and were not waiting for just a few mins....we waited 30 minutes!!! There is absolutely no reason for this. Last week we spoke to the waiter several times and he was just patronizing....making excuses that another order was put in before ours (which does not even make sense). Was another order put in IN THE MIDDLE OF our order??? My husband even got up and spoke to the owner. He never offered to comp the late dinners or even comp an appetizer....nothing. Our visit before this they totally didnt put in one of the orders at our table and again just made excuses. Again the dishes were delivered 30 minutes apart with no compensation of any kind. Their service is slow to begin which we can deal with if all food is out around the same time! We are done with them will go to Sushi Thai.

Disappointed.I came to Wasabi yesterday for lunch got the BOGO for the first time here. The portions were so TINY that I barely taste the ingredients inside the roll. I did not taste the fish, the crunch, the creaminess of the avocado but only the rice that was made too soft and not made tightly causing some of my rolls to fall apart.I felt that they were being really cheap. The presentation was just alright, nothing special, just a simple green tobiko on top. My waitress was nice but made me feel like i had to rush my order. The host didnt even smile or asked how im doing, but only sat me down. The three chefs looked like they were in a bad mood. I sat at the bar and the chef just looked at me and gave me my food and said "here." Im very picky about sushi because it is my favorite food and have had it at a few states and a few here in the triangle. Unfortunately, this was not a good experience and I wont be coming back to Wasabi.

I usually give a restaurant two chances, but not a third, in case I have accidentally ordered a bad dish. I had the Pad Thai at Wasabi, and it had the scent, texture, and flavor of dog food. While our waiter was fair, the meal was inedible. Moreover, upon informing the management about the quality of our meal, they offered us a discount: one whole dollar. I had been planning on taking my meal home with me on the grounds that if one of my roommates didnt like it, at least I could dump it out for the stray cat behind my house. I explained this and was informed that keeping the meal would have meant forfeiting my laughable discount. I happily gave them back my boxed-up meal because, frankly, the dollar back was worth more than the entire box of food. I will not be returning to this restaurant ever again. We went to Burger King and had a 500% tastier meal.

Wow - I must say Im totally surprised to see high reviews here. Maybe sushi is the only way to go. Definitely do not do the takeout unless you want to blow your money. My husband went to pick up a to-go order from here while he was out running errands. He said the restaurant looked nice, so he assumed it would be good. My favorite dish is Pad Thai and I LOVE it at Thai House and PeiWei. Wasabis was flavorless noodles with a tiny bit of bland sauce mixed in, a few pieces of grayish (old) green onion, a little bit of bland sliced chicken, and a dusting of peanuts... oh and a ton of oil in the bottom. I could barely eat it. My husband got the orange chicken since hes not big on Thai food. It had A LOT of nasty, slimy breading that was falling off of the meager portion of chicken and also had tons of oil in the bottom.

I went here for the firs time with my mom and brother on 12/27/16. It was such a great experience. Our waiter Alberto was great, very pleasant! I ordered the Lychee martini and my mom got the Mango cocktail. I would highly recommend these. They are both fantastic drinks! We also ordered 4 rolls of sushi from the BOGO menu.. the BOGO goes all day for both lunch and dinner. We got the Midnight roll, Piano roll and two Sexy girl rolls. They are all very very good and different. I would suggest these rolls to anyone who does not like to consume raw fish like myself. My brother got the Steak teriyaki and said it was very well worth it! To anyone looking for a good sushi place with a very nice atmosphere, I recommend Wasabi Sushi and Thai. (: I will be coming back very soon!!

Slow, slow slow service. We were so ready for some good sushi. We ordered 2 rolls as an appetizer and then our meals. After 30 minutes the waitress told us our meals were ready but they were just getting on our sushi, we said we still wanted it. After we were done with our meals, the waitress came back and said they were just starting our rolls 60 minutes after we ordered it. I asked to speak to the manager and she said the sushi chefs have been so busy, and they work so hard, she offered to give us Our rolls for free to go. We accepted and still waited another 15 minutes. I must also add they werent that busy. A ton of open tables. I will not be going back to Wasabi.

I have been going to Wasabi for years and wanted to finally post a review. This is some of the best sushi in the Triangle! I have visited almost every sushi restaurant in Raleigh, Durham, and Cary and Wasabi is consistently good. Their rolls are yummy and there is a variety from which to choose. My husband typically eats the pad thai or steak teriyaki and has always been happy with this. Jack, the manager, does a great job taking care of his customers. Wine list is decent and they have wine specials every Wednesday. They also have bogo for both lunch and dinner now and it seems almost too good to be true since the quality is so good.

My co-workers and I just went to this restaurant for lunch today and we had the worst tasting and worst smelling food ever! The pad Thai noodles were undercooked and the chicken and beef pad Thai was flavorless and tough! Their food smelled old and nasty and their fresh sushi looked old as well, with some of their tuna being grilled because it was left out so long. Their actual wasabi was not freshly made and simply made from a dry powder or paste. Their service ability to resolve their poor food was horrible. Ive personally been to over a dozen Thai restaurants and this is the worst restuarant ever. It looks nice but the food is crap!
