First of all, the service is and always has been well below average. Ive only ordered griot from this place, so thats all Ill talk about. Their griot complet is too expensive for the quality of griot youre getting (its $9.50). While the rice is usually above average, and the fried plantains are usually fresh, the griot is almost always hard and dry. The pikliz isnt spicy the way I like it, and to be honest, other than the taste of vinegar, its pretty flavorless as well. I promised myself a year ago that I would stay away from this place, but yesterday I didnt feel like driving to North Miami, so I gave Macillon one last chance. As usual, the griot was TERRIBLE! I will never, ever, ever eat here again. There are much better places to get griot in the North Miami/North Miami Beach area.

The food is decent. But the customer service is HORRIBLE. If you arent Haitian they will make you sit for an hour to get your food, and they will serve all other Haitian customers before you. After i placed my order, I watched for an hour while haitian customers placed orders, then leave with their food while I was left standing there. Needless say, I couldnt take the blatant Disrespect any longer and I choose to leave without anything. Thank God I didnt pay unfront. I WILL NOT return, and I will make sure to tell friends and co workers about their poor customer service. Its very disheartening when you try to patronize restaurants of other black cultures and you still experience discrimination. They dont even deserve the one star. Be careful.

Ok here my situation I enjoy cooking and I am good no matter dinner, breakfast, or something else around 6pm until ready to bed, MacMillan Grit it is a restaurant any one can enjoy anything you wanna to order, I am very difficult and delicat regarding whats in my mouth but over there its all good, taste good, oooooh so good, prices are fair enough, I like when some one doing something for a living take good care and honest, I would like every one take a bite at Macillon. Griot, I was surprise last week when I went there and open the door here my friend a *Police Officer waiting for his order, and he was so generous by paid my order also, can every one who read my comment smiles.!!

My first time visiting and I was very impressed! The place was very clean which is very important to me, and the employees had on uniforms and were well put together!! Customer service was honorable and I ordered and got my food in a reasonable time. Now the biggest test was how well the food tasted? I must say it was Delicious! I had the legume and rice which was tasty and very light. The food did not feel heavy in my stomach if that makes any sense. The only reason they got four stars is because I need to try other dishes before making a final decision.

I usually go here, the service is average you would call the order ahead of time but still wait the same time as if you just ordered if you got there but getting your food 5mins earlier. Due to the amount of people who go there you would expect the time and wait especially when people are ordering more than one plate. Thats the only problem the food itself is very delicious I recommend that if they ask for oinons or pickliz to get onions very flavorful.

Finding a decent Haitian restaurant is, unfortunately, rare. Macillon would be considered decent if it were consistent. Ive only had the griot there and one day its good the next day its mediocre. Im amazed at how busy it is! I would only recommend this restaurant in desperate cases and yes, the staff could be more pleasant. And I almost forgot, expect the wait to be about 45 minutes even if you call it in.

The food is okay but the staff as far as customer service, theyre some pice of sh**t and hopefully when they go to any other place in Miami to get any service hopefully those people know how they treat people and treat them the same nasty way. You be talking to them theyre ignoring you, rolling their f**cking eyes at you. Completely ignore your existence in there like you begging these assholes for foods

Poor customer service. Asked to sample a new item on the menu and was told by staff to speak with owner. Spoke with owner and namesake of the establishment and he stated that he was not in charge and it was news to him that this new item was now on the menu. Smh. Really, I just wanted to sample one boulette before purchasing it. It was a sorry explanation.

Looking for good home feel Haitian food? Macillon Griot is the place to go. As a pescatarian (I only eat fish) , my go to meal is their fry whole snapper. It is to die for. While you are there also try their homemade patties. The wait time is a little bit long, since they are always busy. Its best to call ahead for pick up. But, the food is worth the wait.

I call to place my order the told me 20 min. After 30min. I went there to pick up my food to find that it was not ready. I waited 20 more min. Still was not ready and when I asked the fl girls at the counter she said to wait everybody called over the phone with an attitude. So I left

Owner is very nice, food is off the chain, especially especially the fried goat(tasso cabrit) and the macaroni, last but not least the fried plantain, They only serve fresh food thats why it takes time, if you cant wait, call in advance, love it Yum yum in my tummy

Food tastes great however, wait time is deplorable. Price of food is acceptable for amount of food given. Ordering in advance may help to lessen wait time (but not always trust me!) Im a picky eater so if I say its good, it is good food.

Food is as exquisite as "Chez Le Bebe" in Lil Haiti and Id believe their service is actually quicker. Much cleaner spot then all Creole cuisines in the Tri County Area. If you not Haitian tho, have an extra 10 min on your hands...

The way this restaurant carries business is despicable. Worst customer service. An bad reputation for Haitian as a culture. The kitchen is unsanitary and they should be inspected and shut down.
