Came here with a few friends - the place was packed, but we didnt wait longer than 10 minutes to be seated. The service was prompt and professional, while still being lighthearted and pleasant. We all found it amazing how much food we received per order. Our meals came with soup and salad (both delicious - love honey-ginger dressing), the pork dumplings were pretty much perfect, and the rolls were amazing. Their BBQ Eel rolls are pretty standard (which is great in my book) but they had some available that Id never even heard of - the best of which was the White Russian Roll. It pretty much won the evening. If sushi isnt your thing, no worries - their standard meals are also great. My husband ordered a steak box. It was so full of food that we ended up taking some home - and it had a lot of variety. Most restaurants will have a giant plate with only three items, but this had the steak, rice, some shrimp nigiri, cabbage and then some. I stole a bite of steak, and found it cooked to perfection. At the end of the meal, when we received our checks - it turned out to be the smallest ticket weve ever paid for sushi. This place is legit awesome.

After living in japan for 3yrs, I got used to good authentic Japanese food & sushi. I am the hardest critic on restaurants after working in them for years and knowing what to expect. the quality of food was out of this world for the price. I must say they completely surprised me. for a change the food is worth the price. There was one thing that I was not happy with. I received my food before the rest of my party did. about 10-15 mins between. I had ordered the steak box and they ordered 4 sushi rolls. I had to sit with my steak in from of me watching it get cold while waiting for their lunch. This was the servers fault and I can not hold the restaurant itself at fault for that portion of the experience. as I have stated they have the best sushi & Japanese food in ( I would say) Texas/United States. I highly recommend giving them a try even if sushi isnt your thing, they have something for you as well.

First off, bit of a language barrier between my group and the waitress. Ordered spicy chicken plate, and one chicken and steak plate. Spicy chicken was rubber, and not spicy. The steak tasted like they literally microwaved it. This was not hibachi. Spent 50$ bucks on subpar food. At least the sushi was decent, but Krogers sushi tastes better. Maybe learn to not over cook the food, or at least cook it fresh and this might have been worth it. Can get better quality food at Kobes up the road for cheaper, and a show.

Sumo is delicious food for a reasonable price. I had a shrimp teriyaki box and was blown away by the presentation and taste. Shrimp was separated from the rice and on a bed of cabbage. The teriyaki sauce was also separated from the other food so one can season to their own liking. The fried rice is delicious as well as the soup and salad. Wait staff was nice and all in all a great meal. I will return to try out some of the different sushi rolls.

Order our food and sushi... She came back said they were out of it. we changed our order but apparently she didnt.she came back with food with in 5 min 25 min later the rest came leaving 2 of us without food... When we said we didnt order some of it she took it back and we could over hear the waitress blaming us for the border to her boss... Really disappointed not EVER going back

I go here to pick up lunch on a pretty regular basis. The food is always good, but the price seems to fluctuate, even though I order the same thing every time I call in. Its usually only a SMALL difference so its really not a big deal. It just seems odd. The wait stuff when we dine is GREAT and everyone seems nice. The restaurant seems clean, I really enjoy it.

Really good noodles, sushi, nagiri. Service was slightly slow, but very friendly and she had several tables along with us. A lot of the rolls were cooked rolls, Id like to see more raw on the menu. But all in all, a really great addition to Longview.

Server was unfriendly acted as if she didnt care. Rice was awful the ckn and steak were good. The server rang our food in wrong and tried to charge us for extra rice them threw a fit when I informed her. Id say just go to show guns instead or fugi

Our GO-TO spot for quick Japanese food in Longview! Cant beat their prices and quality. We order again and again and never have a bad experience. Rice is always perfect, rolls are always gorgeous and fresh, meat is all cooked perfectly every time.

The price is great and the food isnt Asian fusion, but simply well cooked Japanese food (With a few Americanized dishes). The only complaint would be that the cooks idea is medium is very rare and that the shrimp is generally not de-veined.

The service was a little slow but the food was stupendous. I recommend the Texas and Crunch rolls, fried rice with sexy sauce, and the filet mignon and shrimp.

I have never left this place hungry or dissatisfied. Has everything from bento (terriyaki boxes) to sushi and even mochi for dessert. Yummmm!

Worst sushi I have ever had. No flavor, just overwhelming taste of chili powder in the spicy rolls. Philly roll was very bland.

Such attention to detail and flavor. Love to come back when we can. Try to save room for the mochi ice cream!
