I dont know how people dont love this place. After living in Palatine for 24 years I finally tried this place and it is now one of my favorite places. First whoever said something about it being expensive, youre crazy its 8 bucks for a whole chicken meal thats a side Cole slaw and 2huge garlic breads. Quality food is always served in my experience. And in the last 4 months Ive been there all days and times, even just before close. Our favorites are any of their meals, they are incredible for an unbeatable price. The only complaints I can understand but think are overstated are: a) yes lunch they are busy and drive through can be backed up during lunch. But thats what happens when you make the food fresh, so settle down and call in ahead its not that hard. B) Bbq Patio is a kinda misleading name, I expected a Bbq joint at first. They do have great ribs and Bbq chicken but thats about it. It is a Greek food place and trust me you can not go wrong with anything they offer gyros, shish kebab, you name it Ill eat it. Oh and the comments about unpleasnt staff I think are unfounded. Id consider myself a regular now and the guys are great, they are quite but they are friendly and always accommodating to my fiancées special requests. To summarize this place is top notch food for great price. It is so good that they get backed up for lunch so if you can try ordering ahead.

I had a gyro sandwich plate to go and it is twice as much as I expected. It comes "deconstructed" so the pita does not get soggy. Great idea! And theres enough meat for two gyros. The tzatziki is classic with lots of cucumber and is not runny like some sauces. Its bustling at lunch here and they are hustling to fill orders quickly from inside and a drive-in. Ive known Greeks all my life and they (like me) are passionate and can be expressive and loud. So I see how someone might mistake all of this for rudeness. I made a comment about refrigerated baklava (very tasty as well) and both the husband and wife (Im guessing) at the registers stopped, smiled, laughed and explained that it was a health dept. rule. "Leave it outside for a few minutes, it will be good!" they said. Everyone knows the baklava stays at room temperature in a big pan! I appreciated their comments. This will become a regular lunch stop for me. PS...I saw another order of a 1/2 bbq chicken come up and it was huge as well. So it appears many of the portions here could feed two! PPS...And I agree with Chris Garcias review below. He is spot on!

I have no idea what this name stands for because there is no B.B.Q. I wish there was and I wish it was good. The place is a little expensive for what they offer. Service takes longer for the drive up than I expected and the food is hit or miss. For some reason I like the perch - which can be delicious or can be under cooked. Since I only go there to grab food for lunch and back to the office I really dont have time to take it back. So I dont go there too often anymore because if it is miss day it is too expensive to just toss the food and not have a lunch.

The staff is extremely rude. Every time i have gone here as well as my co workers the guy taking orders always has an attitude. For this reason we will stop going there. The first time we put it as him having a bad day. It has repeatedly happened and today our food was cold on top of his rude attitude. Do not go here unless you want to get aggrivated to someone you are handing your money too

I ordered the rib tip meal. The coleslaw was really good, the fries we ok, and the garlic bread was good. The reason for the three was the rib tips. For a restaurant with bbq in the name it is very misleading. The meat was not a good quality, sauce was under welming. The meat itself was tough and little.

I have been coming here for about 11 years and its the same guys making food very well and its definitely one of the top 5 burgers on my list in the entire Chicago area - affordable and quick lunch.

The food was good, average portion. I thought $9.50 with tax for a Gyros, fry, and a drink was a bit on the pricey side. I would go back and try some of their others items. Maybe a beef next time.
