Really not sure where some of these previous posters ate but, Ive been going to Vitas for over a decade, the previous owners made good pizza but the owner that is there now can really cook some good italian dishes. My favorites are the pasta fagioli, chicken cacciatori, frutti dimarri, meatballs, and thats just me. I have a family of six and the only issue Ive had their is that we do have to wait a little for the order but this happens to us everywhere, as a big party, we usually wait longer. My father in law use to own a restaurant in weston, the Salute Cafe where he was part owners with Fulvio years ago, and those guys could cook some darn good eye-talian food. Vitas is right up there with all their dishes and you cant beat the prices for the quality. The owner makes these out of this world cheescakes and deserts that dont last. If you live near Davie or just passing by, you need to try Vitas if you want some top notch italian food.Oh yea and that opera singer is one of the waiters there, he really is very good.

As the previous reviews describe, the food is great. Unfortunately, the place is rundown (everything from top to bottom and sideways) and items are placed where they should not be (supplies and furniture stacked behind the abandoned greeting podium in clear view of the entire dining area and a workstation for wrapping silverware in napkins in the corner). Additionally, not fond of drinking out of plastic cups and upset that I was given dry permission cheese for my $17 entree. The prices are typical for quality and wholesome Italian dishes however you can easily find the comparable at other restaurants where their appearance is as good as their food.

I placed an order online with an hour delivery time. Called after and hour and a half and was told my order would arrive in 15-20 minutes. I called another hour later and was told my order wasnt received, that they didnt even deliver till 5.... THEN WHY WAS I ABLE TO PLACE AN ORDER AND WHY WAS I TOLD IT WAS ON THE WAY??? The waitress I spoke with was trying to be friendly about it (I appreciate that) but I feel I was lied to by who I spoke with previously. No offer was made to improve my order or to right the wrong, no apology either (except from the driver). Very Disappointed.

Love, love, love this place. I have lived here all my life & we would come to Vitas when Sal owned it. It was a neighborhood place. When Matt and Eric bought Vitas its became that hometown place once again. We eat here 1 to 2 times a week...either dining in or grabbing a pizza on the go. Food is awesome and staff are great. I love bringing my out of town guests here bc they truly get amazing food but they also feel as if they have lived abday dined here their entire lives. Love love love love Vitas!

I know this restaurant his been under new management so I was pretty nervous going in but, the food was great, the servers were very friendly and attentive and the restaurant was clean. Prices are reasonable. I did not have to wait long to be seated and the food didnt take long either. Italian is my favorite food and I am pretty picky about the selection & where I go but Vitas nailed it. I would absolutely go back and bring friends & family. Very warm and welcoming restaurant.

If youre looking for that great neighborhood Italian restaurant Vitas is your place. Its our favorite go to after the games. The staff is wonderful, know us by name and always go out of their way to make our experience wonderful which is always a nice personal touch. The fugazza pizza is quite the ideal order for the family, along with a couple of entrees to share. The cheesecake is delicious and a great time with a relaxed environment. We love this place!...

Eggplant rotolini is delicious. Ordered catering from Vitas for several years and feel remiss that I have not taken a moment to send praise by rating. My guests always rave about the food whether its lasagna, eggplant, chicken /or fish franchaise, mini Stromboli, pigs in a blanket... All outstanding, baked fresh with the freshest ingredients and generous. Thank you Vitas Italian Restaurant for providing us with excellent food for our party... Once again!

I just had possibly the worst pizza experience ever, I just picked up a Large Pizza at Vitas and the girl that helped us when she took it out of the oven she obviously didnt do so well, when we got it home all the cheese was shifted to one side and it was soggy and sloppy!!! I never even new you could ruin a pizza my kids wouldnt even eat it and it was a waste of my money!! Needless to say I will never order from here again.

We go to Vitas all the time and love it. We take out and eat in. They have great pizza and even give discounts for cash. They have great (what I call) pizza salads that my wife just loves. I am a garlic person and, I must say, their rolls are really, really good. If you like great pizza and simple, Italian comfort food, this is the place to go!

Terrible food. The pizza was not even cook neither were there so called garlic rolls that had no garlic on them. I had to put the pizza back in the oven to finish cooking it. On top of that the garlic rolls were smashed to hell.I would not even let that out of my kitchen and Im not ordering there again

I had a great experience here! The food was great, the waitress, I think her name is Priscilla, was so kind and catered to our every need, my family has always gone to Vitas for a great Italian food, and we will continue to go for a long time. No matter what you get you leave satisfied, and full!

Great neighborhood Italian food, at a reasonable price. Dont miss the homemade cheesecake.......its to die for. My favorite is the peanut butter, and the maple bacon........and yes, its made with real crumbled bacon.

X large pie. The best cheese pizza from here to New York. Kids loved the pizza. The service was great. The environment was brick with painted murals floor to ceiling. A+ for class and pizza.

Out of business in 90 days. No customer service. Owner entertains 20 guests while the only waitress is hostess, waits party and cash paying guests. Flat soda.Suggest you walk out too.

Rude, no service. Serving on paper plates as they ran out of dishes at 3 pm. Owner entertaining his friends ignoring customers. Worthless manager in corner on phone!
