I first went to this place for a company event. We reserved a private dining space for 15 and I worked with their event manager for a private group. Their staff are really helpful and very quick to respond. I selected a pre-fixed menu for our group that included starters, soup/salad, main entree and dessert. My favorite entree at this place is the crab cake. It is very moist and flavorful paired with mashed potatoes. Their filet mignon is also a good alternative choice or the roasted chicken. For dessert they served chocolate mousse and lemon tart. Everything was excellent and moderately portioned so you are not overwhelmed. My only complaint is that for a group of 15 we were only offered one server to help with the event. I could tell that she was very overwhelmed as it is a big group to accommodate not only for food but individual cocktail orders too. So i went and spoke to a coordinator and asked if we could have an extra hand and the manager was more than willing to help and run food plates for her. I also went on a separate occasion and got their truffle fries, so so so good. It is a great starter to share within a group. You can also order food from the restaurant and have them take it to ipic movie theater if you are looking for a cozy place to watch a movie. I would totally recommend both venues to friends.

My friend and I checked out City Perch in the new Pike and Rose complex on Friday night. What a fantastic dining experience! The location is sleek, cozy and modern. The service from the moment we were greeted at the host stand to the way we were taken care of by our server Elise was stellar. And now the important stuff...the food. One of the best meals Ive had in a few months. There were so many things on the menu that I wanted to try, but I settled on the honey dipper cornbread with a whipped goat cheese frosting and shaved corn to start. This is, as my friend described it, your church ladys cornbread...only elevated. It was sweat and tangy and spongy and decadent. I had the 21-day aged New York strip that was cooked perfectly medium rare coupled with the black truffle jus. The meals are served a la carte, so we had the crispy brussels sprouts that were "slap your mama good" and the pommes aligot, which were like a whipped potato with cheese that was smooth, creamy and a perfect pairing with the steak. I finished off my meal with the apple crisp, which was the perfect dessert on a cold night. Overall, the meal was fantastic. Just as good as anything you would get on 14th Street in DC. Fantastic service, great food in a cozy environment. Im excited to go back to try other items on the menu!

City Perch Kitchen and Bar is great for large groups. The managers Phil and Devlyn took great care of us and from the beginning of the planning process to the end of the night. They made sure I was a happy guest. Rachel was a trooper and although overwhelmed handled the large party all by herself. Kudos to Rachel for getting it done. If you are in Bethesda in the Pike and Rose area then stop by City Perch for the happy hour to get their signature Norma Jean cocktail, which is very tasty and my new favorite. Enjoy a few delicious entrees and sides such as the NY strip steak, the Duck, the grilled shrimp, and brussel sprouts which were amazing, and mac and cheese just to name a few. The restaurant is right next door to the IPic theater so you could make it a whole night of fun. Although it is a little ways to travel for those of us that live south on the beltway it is a perfect place to stop by if in the area. We stopped here for a dinner out one evening after realizing that our plan to visit another place wasnt going to work. At first sight, the menu doesnt seem very comprehensive and the prices are a bit steep, but we were totally happy at the end of the night. For appetizers, we ordered the cornbread and the crab cakes, and were very happy. The cheese & honey drizzled on the cornbread was just perfect - somewhat sweet and tasty - but not overwhelming. The crab cakes were fresh and a good amount (not small like lots of expensive places). We share the Duck for Two and it was amazing! It comes with pickled veggies and radishes and Asian buns. Amazing sauce on the duck! At the end, its a bit pricey, but a nice place for a special dinner and some excellent food in the right portions. Definitely will go back.

The food isnt bad at all and the service and atmosphere is nice. My only negative is my wife before she was my wife wanted to have an engagement party their, the manger at the time Andrew Humphreys never contacted her back in fact she contacted him several times. Well her Aunt and Uncle were going to pay for the whole thing and City Perch lost on 7 grand plus for the night we ended up going somewhere else. I wonder how much this place has lost because of lack of communication.

Loved this place. Stopped by here for happy hour. Great food and drink specials. BLT chips w/ scallion dip is a must order. We had the crab cakes, oysters and a couple of beers. Food was reasonably priced considering your at Pike and Rose. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Ill definitely be back to try food from their dinner menu. Parking here is free for 2 hours. Bar itself can fit a lot of people. Definitely one of my new favorite happy hour spots around the Pike.

Best management, food, customer service in Montgomery County hands down. Very attentive and pays attention to the minor details. Everyone works as a team and they make sure that you enjoy your meal. Even helped my fiance plan an anniversary surprise thousands of miles away. They truly exceed all expectations you look for in a restaurant. The brunch and the City Perch burger are just a plus :)

I had a wonderful dining experience here. The food is grown locally and the menu changes with the seasons. The chef is amazing and the service is impeccable. I was especially thrilled with the brunch experience and being a bacon aficionado really enjoyed a local thick sliced bacon served with my meal. I would absolutely recommend this place for any meal you might chose.

Food is fantastic and location is great. The bread platter is delicious and is a great appetizer. The smoked salmon on a Belgium waffle is unique and quite large. Wait staff is nice and attentive. Weve visited a couple of times and the restaurant is pretty consistent with quality of food and service. Highly recommended.

Great ambience. Onion soup was excellent. Crab cakes were ok. Presentation could have been better. Rockfish was not appetizing looking and too many odd seasonings. included. For the cost, food shouldve been better. If perch would step it up just a little bit, it can be a first rate dining experience.

Was my place for drinks and a movie. Visited last night and was disappointed with menu change at the bar! Very surprising. Bring back the lighter fair like the homemade chips. Perhaps some nuts or something else that is light that works with a glass of wine or beer!
