I work in Eagle and we frequent the BoPig (our nickname for them) regularly. If you have a group and you want to try an appetizer go for the Pulled Pork Nachos. As for lunch, I recommend the Tri-Tip Sandwich. I have never had a better version of this California classic than at the BoPig. It is moist, with just the right amount of house bbq sauce. The brioche bun is to die for and goes perfectly with the piled high slices of juicy tender beef. The other entree I would suggest is actually on their appetizer menu. The BBQ Shrimp may be the best kept secret in the Treasure Valley. These little perfectly cooked crustaceans come swimming in a velvety Louisiana Peppery Sauce reminiscent of a Cajun Sauce Piquant. They send out 4 slices of fabulous garlic bread to sop up the sauce but youll need twice that many to get the last of it, or just ask for a spoon and finish it like a Cajun Tomato soup. I promise you wont be sorry you ordered this little gem. We often entertain business contacts at the BoPig and have never had a negative review. In fact when scheduling for follow up lunches they often request the BoPig so they can try something else. They have given rave reviews for the Sloppy Joe, the Trio of Sliders, the Smoked Chicken Salad and the Wedge Salad (they always request the Tri-Tip or Smoked Chicken be added to the Wedge Salad). I wholeheartedly recommend the Bodacious Pig and I hope you get to go soon just so you can start your regular visits already.

While we love the food here, I have to say the service has run downhill to the point where we wont come back. About a month ago we had the worst experience weve ever had. The host told us there would be a 20 minute wait and we were totally willing. By the time we were seated it was 45+ minutes. Then it took another 15 to 20 minutes just to get drinks. People who had been seated after us then got their food before us and our meal came out in three different stages, our two year old being the last to be served by nearly 10 minutes. There were also many tables other issues. By the time we were served it was just shy of two hours from our arrival time. To top off the night we waited nearly 30 minutes for our checks and we nearly left without them. We now refuse to eat in the restaurant and have tried to-go orders twice which both bombed. The first took nearly twenty minutes to be ready and we called it in before we left (from midtown Meridian). The second time we also called ahead and they told us it would be 15 minutes. We intentionally ordered 30 minutes before we would arrive in hopes that there wouldnt been an ungodly wait. It took 60 minutes exactly to get our to-go order. We are done with this restaurant. We dont care how good the food is, it isnt worth the wait and the terrible service.

The Bodacious Pig is one of my favorite places to eat. All of the staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. Ive tried several items on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. My newest favorite is the Oink Oink Burger. Im not exaggerating when I say it is possibly the best hamburger Ive ever tasted. Piled high with brisket, sirloin, pulled pork and coleslaw, it is an awesome blend of flavors and very filling. I normally eat half of it on site and save the other half for lunch the next day. Of course, theres plenty of BBQ sauce on hand if you want to add more to your entree. Pricing is reasonable in the $10-$12 range per plate. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes good BBQ.

Havent been to many BBQ joints in Eagle/Boise but this one is fairly good. They give you 2 free ribs if its your first time here. The ribs are quite nice, actually just like ones that you can get at Costco. They have chicken wings with cheese dip which actually has real blue cheese in it. Everything is covered in BBQ sauce or something other sauce and the pulled pork in the potato skin is dry, but apparently the pulled pork dish itself was ok. The waiter was really nice, but would stop by our table literally every 5 minutes for some reason, so our conversation was always interrupted and we had to make small talk

Excellent barbeque, especially by Idaho standards. (I grew up in Memphis and know good barbeque.) We ordered a few combo plates and shared so we could all try everything. The ribs and pulled pork are especially good. I also liked the tri-tip and the sausage. The chicken was just chicken, though. As far as the sides go, I liked the fries, onion rings, and mac & cheese. Im generally not find of cole slaw, but I kind of liked it here. The only one I didnt like was the brand, which tasted good but had a very mushy texture. The service was great; our waitress was helpful and knew the menu well.

I ordered off the To Go Menu. Their To Go Menu is very limited and the prices were way off the chart...we spent $52.00 for the tri-tip family pack. Best part was the Tri-Tip only reason for the 3 stars for sure. Very generous and cooked great! The beans were watery, the potato salad was ok. The extra loaf of garlic bread was horrible. Not a loaf at all! They put the crumbs and leavings from cutting loaves in a little bag for us. So sad! We were expecting soooo much better than we got for this price and it was our first time there! Unfortunately, our last!

Heard so much about the restaurant, we had to try it during the Eagle Fun Days. Food was ok, my sandwich bun was burned on both sides and apparently no one noticed but me. That was corrected. My $9 Tri-Tip sandwich had three thin slices of meat on it and no sauce, fries are the shoe string type and were lightly salted and crispy. Service was quick and consistent. Our meal consisted of one glass of wine, a wedge salad, tri-tip sandwich and a side of coleslaw, which set us back $30 before tip. I felt this was a bit high considering what we received, portion-wise.

My husband and I have become frequent flyers at BP. Food and service are always excellent! I think they must have taken heed of the few negative reviews on here to make improvements. I will agree that parking is slim on busy days and times. Also, Ive never called in an order but have ordered at the pickup window even during super busy times and got my order within 5 minutes and complete with all amenities. They also donated a gift certificate to our recent fundraiser so I appreciate them even more. Highly recommend - especially the ribs, sweet tea and toast!

The atmosphere was awesome! Family friendly. The home made sweet tea OMG!!! My waitress/hostess was personable. I had the slider trio to go and when I got back to my office after smelling it the whole way I was sadly disappointed. I was very excited about the BBQ experience. BUT there was little or no BBQ sauce especially on the chicken slider. Made for a VERY dry sliders. It was my first time here and I wanted it to be my new lunch hang out, maybe if you eat in then you can monitor the sauce. Not sure If I will try again :(
