As a marketing professional, I have mixed feelings about this place. I go there for lunch and, as other reviews have mentioned, they have a good price point (around $8). However, they have a credit card minimum of $10. I have went into this place several times time, because I work across the street. Twice now, the owner (I guess) has brought up the fact that I didnt hit their CC minimum of $10. Let me give you some free marketing advice...if you are going to make the marketing efforts to provide a good price point and attract people with that, then dont require a $10 CC minimum, at least for lunch specials. Frankly, the concept of attracting people with a good price point and then having a higher priced CC minimum is such a bad marketing strategy, that as a marketer, I have no respect for your minimum. Credit card transactions dont cost that much. If you are paying more that $0.30 + 2.9% per transaction, then switch to Paypal, because that is their numbers...and frankly they are expensive. So, you must need a new CC transaction company. The first time the guy tried to remind me of this BS policy, I didnt go back for a couple of months...there is a pizza place 200 feet further down the street. Again, I wont be going back for a while. My hope is that you all will sort this out, because the food isnt bad...I would give the food and order accuracy 4 stars...but the CC minimum/lunch special strategy is downright laughable.

We read a number of reviews on line and were a bit hesitant paying a visit here. Since the place is fairly new, I attributed it to growing pains and I was correct. We had a delightful time, free of the negative experiences that others supposedly endured. We were greeting warmly and were able to choose our table. Service was prompt and attentive. With their newly acquired liquor license (Jan, 2013) we ordered cabernet and sauvingnon blanc. There were many appealing items on the menu and because of that, choosing one or two was a challenge. We had Snow Mountain Maki with shrimp tempora and king crab and The Delights of Three which had chicken, beef pieces with shrimp and vegetables. The presentation was very nice and the meal was plentiful and tasty. We shared the Exotic Bomba dessert which was a flavorful sorbet with an edge of white chocolate. The staff was gracious and friendly. They clearly appreciated our visit and smiled broadly when we told them that we look forward to coming back! We have been to Bamboo, Kiku Yama and Genki Ya a number of times and Wild Blossom is right up there with them. This might be the best dining opportunity in the history of Islington. There is plenty of free parking in the rear or across the side street. If you are interested in going off the beaten path, this is an option for you.

After Kiku Yama was sold, we were looking for a new sushi place and decided to try Wild Blossom. One review said it was as good as Kiku Yama and Genki so we were very excited to try it. Bad choice for Japanese cuisine. If you want sushi rolls please go elsewhere. This place does not even come close to Kiku Yama or Genki. Prices are comparable though or higher. It only looks like they have lots of rolls on the menu but nothing looks appealing for the price. We were told that the images on the menu are just images and do not correspond to any rolls. The waiter told us they can prepare whatever we liked and when I gave her a roll ingredients she said they dont have sauce for it. It is a common sauce every sushi place has. So, we struggled to select 5 and did not like them. They tasted very plain. Avocados were not ripe enough and that sauce was one of the ingredients on 3 of our rolls and was missing. After meal both of us had a heavy feeling in the stomach. Till evening of next day it felt like it was full of rocks. Also, dont order avocado salad there. I am not even sure what it was.

We got take out from here and with most places like this it is hit or miss, especially take out. Let me tell you, this place nails it. From the Fried Rice to the chicken fingers to the Kung Pao to the Chicken and Broccoli, everything was delicious and cooked right and some of the best tasting Chinese Food I have had in this area. It blows out PF Changs prices and food and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The place does not look like much, but I would highly recommend them over any other Chinese food in the suburbs of Boston!

Always good food, reasonable pricing and excellent service (Cindy is great)! Mr. Farley, just stop by an ATM first, and youll have no problem. Were not talking about that much money at lunch time.
