Went to Willies last Wednesday. It was positively excellent. I had the brisket sandwich, Mexican cornbread, and coleslaw. The cornbread was spicy and delicious and my brisket sandwich was made with lean and tender meat. My wife had the pork shoulder sandwich and southern style potato salad and she thought it was the best ever. This barbecue has an authentic, smoky flavor that you wont find anywhere else. We got a pound of smoked sausage to go and that was excellent as well. They also sell their own homemade caramel popcorn that is very good. We really enjoyed the small, homey atmosphere, and the service is top notch. Well be back.

Food was great, what we got was really really good! However I felt it was pricey for what is served. Paid $8.69 for a Sandwich on a store bought hamburger bun that included no sides :( No kids menu and drinks from cans. Our bbq sauce was almost empty when they brought it out and never got a chance to get a refill as waitress was not around much. Then asked to pay... $32 for 3 sandwiches and 4 cans of pop, she had the gull to ask if I needed change when paying with a $50 ......... Might be back for a quick lunch but wont be bringing the family back, we will have to continue to go to CDA for BBQ.

So, I have been able to shovel a couple of bites into my gullet before being overwhelmed with the urge to tell the world how AMAZING the food is!! I lived in Texas for a couple of years and DAMN, they got it right!!! Potato salad made with red potatoes, coleslaw with radish, baked beans with shredded meat, brisket to perfection, cornbread to stand up to any homemade and the chicken!!! Usually smoked and grilled chicken is cooked to the point it resembles leather, but not here...it is spectacular!! The sausages are perfect and the sauces (cattlemans) are delicious!!

Enjoyed some wonderful BBQd meats that were tender and smoked to perfection. Potato Salad and Cowboy Beans were a good combination and to round out the plate as was the "better than mom makes" Cole Slaw. We keep hearing about their wonderful Carrot Cake but are always to full to try it. A down home feeling without all the loud noise of the bigger bbq places in the Spokane to Coeur dAlene area. A side note, they have and they played music from one of the largest "8 Track" collections of music that we have ever seen, made the evening a true pleasure.

SO GREAT!!! I had an amazing first time at Willies last night with my family. This place has got the basics on LOCKDOWN!!! Amazing sides. The portions are HUGE! The prices are incredibly reasonable. The staff was casual and friendly. But heres the deal....the meat!!! The smoked meat is AMAZING!!! :) Smoked fresh every day just outside this lovely little southern style eatery. We will be most certainly back. Just like the family I spoke with that was coming out of Willies as we were going in, we give Willies a 20 out of 10.

We just happened on this place and werent too sure at first. But man, were we surprised! Some of the best BBQ EVER!! The cole slaw and beans......oh man. Great stuff. The ribs were meaty and tender. The homemade sauce was to die for. To top it off, our waitress was adorably cute and went clear out of her way to make our stay top notch enjoyable. A HUGE tip was in order. We live about 50 miles away, but will definitely make the trip back.

Best dam BBQ around! Texas based family run the place. Which Im from Texas, so it tastes like home to me. Their meats are smoked on a large pit out back, and you definitely can smell the love. Its small inside but that just makes it feel home like. And in the summer they have outdoor seating in a small patio area. Love the food and its one place I always go when Im in that area. They sell by the pound as well as their regular take outs. Yum

Really a decent place for BBQ this far north. Plates are texas style with a heavy emphasis on smoked goodness. Brisket it top notch! 5/5! Ribs are 4.5/5 only because i prefer my ribs wet and being smoked they come out dry, but they are still darn good. If you have a large party you may want to call ahead as there isnt much room inside. Overall its a great place and a very homey family owned place that will satisfy your meat fix!

Pretty good Bbq for the north.. cute little house turned restaurant. Service was great.. loved the smell as we stepped out of the car to walk in. Brisket was good, but not quite as much of a smoke ring as I would like.. ribs were good. You can order single ribs to accompany your other items (in case you just want to try one). Red beans and rice with sausage was great... Very good flavor to the sausage. Will definitely return!!

Biggest juiciest pork ribs ever! Great slaw and potato salad too. Perfect combo. Service excellent and not intrusive. The piece de resistance is the BUTTERMILK PIE! Totally yum. The trick is to order your pie wheywhey order your meal...otherwise there might not be any left! On warmer evenings you can sit outside undercover too and smell the wonderful scents wafting over from the smokehouse. Heaven.

Best barbeque around! puts the terrible Porky Gs and Longhorn to shame. Delicious ribs, pulled pork and brisket as well as great sides - bbq beans, coleslaw, potato salad, etc. Youll be stuffed after you finish your meal with a slice of the buttermilk pie. This is real smoked barbeque, not just crummy baked ribs and brisket with sauce, but the real thing. You gotta go!

Best BBQ have had in years. The staff/service was friendly, fast, and very efficient. The beef brisket was fork tender, the ribs melt in your mouth, and the sides are amazing! The amount of food is generous and worth the price. The buttermilk pie, carrot cake and sweet tea make the meal just scream content. It is small and welcoming inside with the feel of home.

We sure like this place! Real BBQ the Texas way......Willie made us realize ribs and brisket was good stuff. Homemade pies, chili and coleslaw are great. Frito pie is my favorite lunch. Being a Yankee I may never get used to Texas style BBQ sauce but being a good sport Willie also provided some KC style sauce for us Yanks. Good folks.

The food here was absolutely amazing! Ive not had good BBQ since I was last in Texas and this rates right up there with some of the better ones! The value is excellent for what you get, and families can come in and share meals easily! The walls are plastered with pictures of different "Willies". My dinner companion was William Clark.

Best smoked meat ever ! Great value. Friendly informative staff. They have a smoke house out back - How much more authentic does it get ? If you love smoked and southern food that is homemade then this is a must to try. Take out and dine in (sits maybe 20 inside plus a few outside tanles). Smoke house in pic

I just spent over a year in Texas and was dying for some good barbecue when somebody suggested this place. And I have to say I was really impressed. The only suggestion I would make to you is to put your coleslaw on your barbecue sandwich. Extremely good food
