Went here to meet someone halfway between la jolla and harbor of San Diego. The drink selection was great (I had a coffee stout that was super good) and the food menu was a good size as well. I ordered the brisket, with mashed potatoes (with fixings mixed in - cheese, sour cream, bacon, chives) and collard greens. It came with Texas toast. Brisket was perfectly smoked and bbqd. Mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious. Collard greens I am very particular about (no one beats grandmas) but these were quite good. They were a little spicy, but Im not complaining. My one note was the cut of the greens could have been a little finer. Its hard to eat a whole gigantic leaf of something, even when cooked down. Im spoiled by my familys prep of the dish. The Texas toast was the only disappointment. It was a little hard and not too flavourful. I know, its just toast...what can I say? I like everything to amaze. Customer service was a little slow, but very pleasant. The atmosphere was loud, but very cool and casual. If youre looking for hearing your convo, be sure to grab one of the patio tables. Its quite nice. I would definitely come back here.

Wow!! I have been using Iron Pig catering for over a year now. The food is amazing and always impresses my clients. They are always asking where the food came from and many have traveled a fair amount of miles to eat at the restaurant after their catering experience. The list of catering items is long, which makes it easy to find something for everyone. I typically order 1/2 pulled chicken and 1/2 pulled pork in addition to several sides. The green salad comes with all the yummy topping on the side so everyone can create the salad that they like. Beyond the food, the service has been outstanding. From the very beggining Kenny, the manager, has worked with me to customize everything I need from emailing the invoices, to pricing, menu selection, delivery timing, etc.. It is so easy now I jsut send him a quick email or text message a couple days before and then show up to my clients office with the delicous food ready and waiting. I could not be happier with the food and service of this establishment. I am so happy to have this amazing catering option!

Good pulled pork sandwiches / BBQ / tri tip, brioche buns, good fries, cool crafty decor, craft beers, all around my fav spot to get a pulled pork sandwich and a beer. Good ambiance and quality almost more like a North Park area restaurant than a PB restaurant - in a good way that is refreshing for PB locals. The servers have always seemed nice and generally happy at a comfortable pace and not understaffed or crowded like some spots in PB get in the summer. It has some really long picnic style tables in the middle which has worked out well for some company lunches there where we had 8-10 people and high tables that have been nice for dates.

If i could give iron pig more stars i would. Great service, staff and food! Everyones always happy and helpful. Service is fast and good. Food is always super tasty and consistent. Personal favorite IPA house salad with chicken. Cant go wrong with their brisket sandwich either! I send all my clients here! If your looking for great Bbq, friendly staff and a good atmosphere definitely come here. Ps: dont park in chipotle parking lot, and if you do thats your problem not iron pigs they cant be held responsible for the decision of where you park your car. Find street parking.

Absolutely the worst service in my life ever. Our food was cold it took so long to get to us to its hard to say if it was good. Josh is the most imcompitent server on earth. I dont leave reviews but felt I had to hoping the management will see this and take action. Josh sratched his head often and then plates of food with out washing his hands. He wiped a table down and then used the same rag to wipe the edge of a plate. He used the same rag to clean a spill on the floor and then our table. Disgusting

We went here with my Alumni friends, this place is fantastic. Beer choices are amazing. The price is very decent, $4 pints on happy hour, the food is ridiculously good. Must Try Food: The BBQ, was finger licking worth. Food was outstanding and affordable. Brisket sandwich, Yumm best ribs, with amazing smoking sauce. Great service, very friendly ppl. Drinks: They serve local craft beer, wine, weekly specials and so much more. Downs: Good luck to find a your parking spot Small portions

Not worth the money spent. If Im paying $16.00 for a plate of BBQ, I expect a full plate of food. I am not knocking the taste or quality of what I got, just the extremely small portion size. I got the pulled pork plate with the beans and mashed potatos. I received enough meat to make a sandwich, and about half a cup each of the beans and potatos. If youre there for the beer, good, if youre there for the food, eat before you go.

The babyback ribs I had here were the best Ive had in years. They were so tender, juicy and cooked by a real Texas chef I was told. The Vanilla Bean Porter(local brewery) had just the right flavor. The bartender Cam was great and server Shelby just made the whole evening complete with her friendly and professional service. I plan on telling anyone who wants great BBQ in SD to get on down here.

Josh was my server and he had our expirence at iron pig horrible. His hands were dirty he was sleazy firting w my married friend even asked her for her number. He kept telling us how he hates his managers. So why work there. The food was good but we will never ever go back. Let me end this with i never leave reviews but josh was so vulgar we felt we had to

Love the BBQ here, its really great. The happy hour is a great deal if youre hungry and in the area. I recommend the pastrami if youre here on Thursday (thats the only day they have it available). A full rack is huge (I made that mistake once, had leftovers for days) and you can sub your two sides for a Mac and Cheese order which is a must try.

Pretty good, some nights better than others -- Ive had out of this world cuts here on some occasions and other nights just decent. If the food was consistently as good as it can be, this would be a 4-5 star place for sure. Id still recommend to anybody looking to get their hands dirty and have a good beer selection to wash it down.

LOVE Iron Pig. For food, the go-to order is the brisket, you cannot go wrong with it. Also be sure to ask what specials they have, there is always something unique they are doing most weeks. And maybe the best part of IPA is the beer selection, by far the best in Pacific Beach. They are constantly rotating in new, craft beers!

The beer list is excellent even by San Diego Standards. I had dinner with a group of 8. There was plenty of room and the waitstaff was awesome. We had dry run wings, brisket, baby backs, and some sausage. The barbecue was real and tasted awesome. There was no "fake" gas grill taste to the meat. It was all great barbecue!
