First off ignore the comments of people who seem to just not understand BBQ. Much less Texas style BBQ. Its not steaks or ribs. Its sliced brisket and shredded meats that have been cooked for a long time at low and slow temperatures. This place is good. To the joker complaining about price, dunno how youre gonna beat a heaping sandwich or meat plate with a healthy portion side and coleslaw for under $10? I mean maybe McDonalds will be your huckleberry? To the clown fussing about temps and moisture, the food was hot and very moist. You cant expect any BBQ joint to be pulling stuff fresh out of the huge smokers they cook out of and be continually serving. The amount of waste alone would be staggering. Low and slow just cant be made to order unless you wanna stick around for 8+hours? So, yes the meat does sit in a heat table, but they do a really good job keeping it fresh. Ive seen way worse at Qdoba, Panda, Chipotle, and other chain places that operate on a similar model, yet people flock into these places continually. However, these guys are good, and were picky. My wife and I ordered meat plates that came in under $10 each (well the beef is $2 more, but still). I had the brisket which was sliced thick, marbled with fat, and contained the perfect medley of spices and smoke. Well that being the parts that werent covered in the house made BBQ sauce which was also sweet smokey, awesome and nothing like any store bought stuff Ive tried. My wife had the "sloppy Jo-Jo" which was a combination of pulled pork and deep pit shredded beef. Again, amazing and full of flavor. The sides we had were awesome, I had grannys beans which was baked beans made from a medley of different beans and flavors. A lot of appealing color, flavor, and texture in these. My wife had perfectly seasoned mashed potatoes which were made from red jackets mashed with the skins on (how mashed potatoes should be). Very flavorful and good. Also, they had a slaw that had cilantro and jalapeno in it. First time Ive tried that, and it was amazing. Finally, theyve got a house made soda fountain with lots of unique and delicious flavors like apricot, cucumber, lemongrass, sparkling lemonade, and a couple standard flavors (I think the list changes). All of it organic and delicious. Food portions are awesome (Im a 63" 275lb beast of a man and I didnt finish mine). If youre sitting on the fence about juniors, give it a go. Ignore the haters. 1. Theyre just mad they didnt get a beer or a glass of Merlot like theyre used to (go to Red Robin for crying out loud). 2. They dont understand what Texas BBQ is: a laid back, sticky, fatty, beefy, greasy, beef sweats, "oh man what have I done to my diet?" experience.

we have been here probably a half dozen times now, so I feel like I can give a more accurate review now that I have sampled more of the menu. juniors makes quite possibly the best pulled pork anywhere. juicy, tender and super flavorful. i could just eat a pound of that with the habanero bbq sauce and some of their amazing jalapeno slaw and be in heaven. however.i am incredibly excited to try the pork on a taco. i am not a tremendous fan of the brisket or their deep pit bbq beef. not even remotely as good as the pork. the only side, besides the slaw, i like is the fries. the serving i got on my last visit was half of what it used to be, granted my first couple times that was a ginormous mess of fries, super greasy and not even close to being done unless the goal was soggy greasy half-cocked potato curls. they should update their menu if thats the case. prices are fair for this quality of bbq. service is suspect at best and there seems to be extremely high turnover. very rarely will i see the same employee there twice. come for the pork. good luck with anything else.

Really disappointed with the food here. The brisket was overcooked, dry, and flavorless. It came chopped up, not sliced, and it tasted like it was cooked in an oven, not a bbq. No evidence of a smoke ring on any of the chopped up bits. We tried to order the tri-tip but it was so overcooked they took it off and tossed it, so we ordered the deep pit beef which was again overcooked, dry, hard, with really poor flavor. It tasted like they smothered it with store bought bbq sauce and locked it in the smoker for 2 days. The bbq sauce was on par with grocery store bottled kraft sauces, one had habanero added. Green beans were cold. The coleslaw was the best part, not a traditional slaw but pretty darn good in its own right.

Im a regular Juniors customer, and I stopped in yesterday to get lunch for me and my parents. My mom had never had it before, so I thought shed like to try it. But I was having a bad day, and the people at Juniors could tell the moment I walked in to the building. They asked what was going on, and after telling them about my day, they treated me very special. Like I said, Im a regular customer. But my parents are not. They were so happy with the food and the kind hearts of the people who run the place, that they are going to start spreading the word to everyone they know. Thank you, Juniors, for your great food and out of this world kindness. You guys are the best!

It is so amazing to find a local place called Juniors BBQ and go in and meet Junior! What an amazing environment. Great service and the food is to die for. Come in and give it a try. I have had the sandwiches and the tacos. You just cant go wrong. They have Chicken, pulled pork, Brisket, and Tri-tip to choose from. The Brisket taco all dressed up with habanero BBQ sauce, cilantro jalapeño coleslaw, Pico de gallo, cheese and cilantro jalapeño ranch is the best combo Ive found yet! I keep coming in and I havent been disappointed yet. Did I mention they cook all of their meat on site? Yup you got it! No frozen junk here. It is all real all American BBQ at its finest.

This is Ron Stice, Rachels husband. I travel to the southern part of the U.S. for work and always eat BBQ while Im there. Juniors is on par with anything the south has. The atmosphere is great, the prices are really good and the quality of food that is served is top notch. The staff was very friendly and informative when helping us decide what meal to choose our first time there. Even though they were busy, they took the time to answer our questions. Meeting the owner and his fiance, I would say they are very personable and appreciated my business. I wish them a successful future. My wife and I will be patrons for years to come.

Tried, But Failed. Arrived at 7:40 PM to find Jrs closed, with hours posted a closing at 8 PM. Maybe a case of some manager trying to save gross on a slow day. I dont know the reason, just know it was closed early and the staff was in mop down mode. Dont know if well try it again as this type of thing sits poorly with me. They need to be great with food and service as the space they occupy has never had a food establishment succeed there since Prairie Shopping Center opened in the late 90s. We ended up spending our money at Dickies, BQ that was actually open for our business and was very good.
