3.5 stars. Hubs and I came to Pacific Catch on a Wednesday evening around 5:30pm, just in time for happy hour. We were seated on the outdoor patio right away and the server brought us a tray of goldfish pretzels and edamame. Service was great all around. It took a bit long to get some of the food items, but the place was pretty busy and only one server covered our entire section of the patio. She apologized for the long wait, but checked up on us frequently. We ordered: -pitcher of MaiTai - they say this is equal to 5 servings but we poured more than 5 glasses so this is definitely a great deal for $35 -ahi mac nut poke - a lot of flavor, but a bit on the strong side, in my opinion. I like it when I can still taste the fish and in this poke, the original flavor of the fish was a bit lost. -white tuna poke - I did not really like this poke, unfortunately. -$2 tacos - we tried grilled mahimahi, original baja, shrimp, and steak. Our favorite was definitely the original baja. -korean ribs - for $7 this is definitely worthwhile. The serving size was huge. The only downside is that some of the pieces were not as tender as they could/should be and was a bit hard to chew. Nonetheless, very flavorful. -spicy fries - decent fries -- eat these fast as they got a bit soggy towards the end. Overall we enjoyed our food and the hawaiian music that they play over the speakers. The atmosphere was quite nice and the service was good. I would definitely come back! Next time well try the regular menu which has many more choices!

POKE POKE POKE POKE POKE POKE POKE POKE :D Yeah I guess you can say Im a fan of their poke. IF there is one thing you should absolutely get here.. its definitely there poke. And whats even better is that you can get them in a trio! My favorites are: - Original: simple, classic, and delicious. - California Style: That lemon aoili + avacado is a killer combo. It is everything that screams california, from the ahi fish to the avacado. - Ahi Serrano: Spicy aoili for the win! I love anything spicy and this one is probably my absolute favorite. Its creamy, spicy, and addicting-ly good. I also really like their Thai coconut shrimp. Those things are fried to perfection and perfectly coated in that coconut milk batter topped with coconut flakes. Their fish in general is also pretty good. Ive had their fried fish and chips and a grilled special fish and I enjoyed them both. Fish would be the thing to get here and I dont think you can wrong with any of them. They also have specials that changes everyday. Beautiful restaurant in the San Antonio Square. Its brand new, modern, clean, and spacious. I would say this place is date worthy, its got a nice upscale feel. Its a little pricey but every once in awhile you can indulge yourself :)

If you decide to dine at Pacific Catch in Mountain View, enjoy the outdoor dining space and the festive ambiance. Service is quick and friendly. The food, in a word, is "meh." Everything was good but not great. We had the poke trio: the original, the Californian, and the special salmon poke. Everything was fresh and well prepared, but nothing out of the ordinary (Ive definitely had better poke). The spicy tuna roll was again, just okay. It tasted fine, but not better than a spicy tuna roll from a good sushi place. The salmon salad was the most disappointing. The salmon filet looked like it was press-formed (think tysons chicken breasts) and pre-cooked and reheated. Other elements of the salad were fresh. The menu was a mishmash of cuisines - ahi poke, sushi roles, Korean short ribs, fish tacos, plus sandwiches and salads. So, if you like sushi, go to Sushi Tomi or Fuki or Satsuma. If you like seafood, head to Sams Chowder House in Palo Alto. If you like braised short ribs, head to your local BBQ joint. Pacific Catch is fun place to go on a Friday night, but dont go for the food.

My wife (who has a gluten allergy), my brother-in-law and I had dinner at Pacific Catch on a Friday night. The place was pretty crowded, but with reservations we were able to get right in. We each ordered our own appetizers and an entree. We ordered the tuna and crab poke, the bay scallop poke (a special that night), and the rock shrimp special for appetizers. The rock shrimp and bay scallops (which were gluten free) were great. However, the tuna and crab poke (also gluten free) was disappointing. There seemed to be mayonnaise mixed in which just left the dish with a bad texture and masked the freshness of the fish. For dinner, my wife got the green curry shrimp bowl, which was okay but spicier than expected and the shrimp were small and overcooked. My brother-in-law had the fish tacos which were solid. I had the mixed fish and chips plate, which was okay but was way too much fried food on one plate (probably my fault for ordering that dish and being surprised it was all fried!) Overall, it was a good experience in a good location for a decent price.

This place has a good vibe and a diverse fusion menu, but my waitress was a little rude. When it came time to pay, my friend and I split the bill by the items we ordered (vs just splitting it in half) and she let out a sigh of exasperation making us feel like we were inconveniencing her a lot. She ended up doing it but made us feel like she did us a favor. Even if a customer inconveniences you, a customer should never feel that way, especially after shelling so much money for a meal. I ordered the Palau (sp?) steak w kim chi fried rice. The steak was ok, the fried rice wasnt that good. Also ordered crispy Brussels sprouts which isnt as sweet compared to others.

We really enjoyed this tasty, fresh seafood restaurant. Well definitely return! It was "wild salmon run" season during our visit. The poke trio was delightful, and both the grilled salmon with masa and the BBQ salmon were succulent and flavorful -- perfect, really. The salmon chowder was also yummy according to my husband. The menu has quite a few playful dishes with interesting combinations of flavors. I think the chefs actually have fun planning the dishes, but those we had worked very well. I sense that the wait staff may be a little overworked, but they are cheerful and kind. I liked our server. She was no-nonsense, friendly and efficient.

I tried their swordfish special, and it was pretty good. The fish itself was properly cooked (moist and not very strong flavored). I really liked the green curry that was on top of it. The indian eggplant was mediocre - slightly underseasoned for my tastes. The coconut rice cake was nice; sweet and soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. I wish there had been some sauce to go with it though, as it quickly became very dry. I was able to dip most of it in the green curry, but there wasnt quite enough. Ill probably be going back to try one of their rice bowls eventually; they looked good too.

A medley of flavors and textures in each dish, and somehow it all feels healthy! Seasoned fries need less salt seasoning, but flavor explosions make fun to try different dishes. General rule of thumb-never order a pitcher of drinks. Mai tai pitcher was a sweet, sticky concoction. Its better to order individual drinks for a tangible concentration of ingredients. Bring your own wine for $10.00 corkage fee. Yo, they have happy hour over here! Its usually busy, yet seating readily available inside, outside, or bar areas. A chain restaurant with dishes as predictable as their flavors.
