Come here for a great selection of cheap Cantonese dimsum and dinner. The most recent name and ownership change was from Pantao to New Port. I think New Port does a better job with seafood than other dishes for dinner. My family and I have found our favorite dishes trying whatever is listed on the whiteboard near the entrance. Some dishes off the main menu can be really hit or miss so we usually stick to the Chef Specials menu or the whiteboard. If you want to try something new, ask your server if they recommend it or prefer a different dish. Best Dinner Dishes: giant clam special geoduck clam special steamed fish of the day (we most recently had a delicious steamed rock cod) lotus root, blank fungus, and chinese sausage mushrooms, with egg tofu and pea shoots Good: kung pao chicken hainan chicken mongolian beef salted fish chicken eggplant clay pot Parking can be tough, so check the street if the lot is crowded. One time for dim sum we parked across in Ranch 99 Plaza and walked over.

Great dim sum! Prices are pretty much the same as everywhere else (not cheap). Service here is actually not bad, despite what the reviews say. For some people, it may come off as rude (shoving a cart in your face and asking what you want first thing when you arrive), but its just how Chinese restaurants are... In my case, they gave us the menu after we had ordered most of what we wanted off the cart. This is the best part because anything you order will be freshly made by the chefs! (Unless the item exists on the cart). Only complaint is that food tends to have cooled quite significantly if its from the cart... Bummer, but theres not much they can do about it. Food tips: - The deep fried pork dumpling doesnt have enough filling (though I loved it nonetheless since its my favorite dish) - Would reccomend the crispy fried dough!! - Steamed shrimp ball in sticky rice is no good. (No texture, stale/powdery rice, too much shrimp, also- shrimp wasnt good)

We came here for dinner, and the place is simply phenomenal - the most authentic Cantonese food Ive found in the area so far - they actually have decent chili oil!! The food was delicious - we had an amazing eggplant and fried fish dish (a special), and some beautifully fried tong choi for the vegetable touch (fresh and still crunchy, prepared just right). The beef chow fun was excellent too, with beautiful meat and noodles (although perhaps a touch oily, but not by much) Service was attentive and friendly. I loved this place.

The lobster roll is delicious! I prefer my lobster rolls warm, but either is good. The bread is buttery, and a generous portion of large lobster chunks make the sandwich extremely decadent. I also had a helping of fresh uni straight from the shell, which was amazing too. I love the ambience, and the service has always been pretty friendly for me. Its a bit on the pricey side, but a great place to go on occasion!

Really popular dim sum place with all the staples. We were able to call ahead at 12:30 pm on a Saturday to put our name down and got seated almost immediately after we arrived 30 min later. The servers were very pushy about us ordering things, but you just have to be firm and say no. Also took awhile for us go get tea and water. Pretty much what youd expect from a busy dim sum place xD

This place really sucks. I have traveled to Hong Kong extensively and know what good Cantonese food and dim sum should taste like. New Port serves reheated frozen dim sum shipped from China. Its service sucks even more--the server wanted to give our table to the next customers and took away our tea pot. Push carts bumped against my chair numerous times. Also, parking is a disaster.

Great food. Be willing to pay a premium. Ordering two dishes. One veggie and one soup costed 33$ after tip. Service is great though and the place seems pretty clean. Dinner had a complimentary dessert (red bean soup). Had a good experience overall save for some minor guilt trip by the server. (She was surprised we just wanted the veggie and soup and no fish or rice)

This location has changed owners many times over the years, but Newport is probably my favorite incarnation. Everything from the dim sum at lunch to dinners is very good and legit. I usually come here with my old school Chinese parents and we can all agree the food here is top notch. Parking is usually very tight, but I guess that speaks to its popularity.

The dimsum is okay, Ive had better, the price is okay too, a little pricey since I can get better elsewhere. The lines can get pretty long. All in all its a good sunday pig out place maybe for a cheat day. My favorite is the sticky rice and the custard buns.

Great serving portions. Always enjoyed their cooking for more than a decade and half. They have many great choices; and that includes their diem sum too. Expect to wait during peak hours. I take out at times. 5-star rating if waiters were better.

A family favorite. My boyfriends family goes there almost every Sunday. They have great food, service, and atmosphere. We order the same dishes and they have great seafood and vegetarian options as well.

Excellent choice for dim sum. Many more choices than competing restaurants. Some reviewers mention that it is pricey but it is well worth the additional cost. Go before 11 am to beat the crowd.

Baller dim sum. Pace yourself and only take what you can eat while its still hot. Hold out against the tides of options for your true love: Beijing kaoya : Peking Duck.

Ive pretty much only go here for the dim sum with family. I really really enjoy it. Plan out coming here, though, as it gets crowded fast. Parking can also be difficult.

Food and prices were both fantastic. Service is what you would expect from a traditional Chinese place, i.e. you have to flag someone down if you want something.
