This place is not meant to be traditional ramen. Its not marketed that way. Yoko has its own twist on ramen, gyoza and sandwiches that i really enjoy. Its only been open for a week or so, but Im already super excited to have a late night place thats not burritos. The ramen actually has substance instead of just a bowl of broth. I am usually not a big fan of pork, but I thought Id give that a try and I was really pleased with the cubano sandwich and the pork ramen. There are also some other interesting options like crispy pig ears and wings. I love the vibe of the place and the western japanese film posters. Really excited to see this place evolve and hope it does well.

I dont usually write bad reviews, as I would rather want to see people succeed. I went yesterday for lunch, and besides the fact that tonkatsu and shoyu are completely different, and the flavorless broth... The egg that was in mine was completely underdone (to be fair, I knew something was wrong with it and I ate it anyway) and now I am sitting at home wishing I were dead. Do you self a favor, spend half as much and go to Sage Market or wait the half hour and go to Toshs. Either way, you wont come home with food poisoning. On the plus side, the atmosphere and posters were awesome!

ramen shops are finally popping up all over the city. some are good. some are authentic. some are ran by 20 something hipsters that saw a trend and jumped on it. nice atmosphere. place smells dirty. but the showcase was the ramen and its possible that i am a ramen snob but this was unedible. the chashu was tough and over cooked. the noodles were definitely prepackaged then later boiled and not even completely. the broth was a powder miso base that wasnt even mixed in well. definitely not going back but only because my pallet didnt agree with their offerings.

Walked in wanting to love this place. I stood for 30 minutes on the restaurant side of the register while the counter guy took orders from 5 people on the bar side, all of which arrived after myself and the gentleman in line before me. Frustrated with the steamy room fragrant of B.O. And broth, I decided it was better to leave and eat and Greek Slouvaki down the road where they can at least take an order correctly...Ill get my ramen fix from Toshs, thanks. Not worth spending 12 bucks on a bowl of hipster noodles for that disaster.

I had the miso ramen and some vegetable gyoza. The service was great. Everything came out very quickly and we barely had to wait. The gyoza were different from anything I have had before. The miso ramen disappointed me. It looks like they use a white miso instead of red. It lacks depth and it seems like they tried to overcompensate with saltiness, which is not my personal cup of tea. I definitely plan on going here again, but will not be eating the miso ramen again.

Ramen was undercooked, but the staff was friendly. Atmosphere was decent, had on rap when I first walked in, lots of windows to sit near if you can make it out to the peninsula addon, order at the counter then pick a chair. Menu not overly complicated. Pork was decent. Needed to ask what all came in my ramen since it is written in Chinese. People who worked there were mostly white non Asian type with hippie like personalities.

The atmosphere of Yoko is all it has going for it. The service is quite mediocre and not attentive. What you get is a bowl full of flavorless noodles, minuscule broth, a single piece of meat, a cold poached egg, and some cabbage. The price of the ramen is quite high when you could buy top ramen at the grocery store and sadly have it taste better. Head down the street to Koko kitchen and get some great ramen!

A cute restaurant that we found when Toshs was closed. Not too busy on a Sunday afternoon. The decor is very quirky (in a good way), complete with retro Japanese movie posters. We had the ramen, the house salad, and the gyoza, all of which were very good. The ramen was not as good as Toshs but still quite tasty. If I am in the area, I will for sure visit again.

The ramen is good. The pork was perfectly cooked. It was a little pricy for the portion size and having to pay to add a lot of things that are complimentary elsewhere. The broth couldve been a little more flavorful, but it was decent. The service was awesome. Ill definitely be back, especially as a great late night option.

Really good cooking, skillful and very well done! House made noodles, really good pork, really good chicken. But damn that broth is lame. So close but they messed it up on the broth. The difference between shio and tonkotsu was minimal at best. It was not tonkotsu and not really shio either.

This place was pretty good, just dont expect "authentic" ramen. It was definitely tasty and I would go back if I were in the mood for it. the charsu was really well done but I thought the broth was lacking. Overall good experience, I just tend to enjoy a fattier broth for ramen.

Fantastic cozy spot for great ramen, I have been in twice a week for the last few weeks cause its such a great portion. The Chef has taken time to perfect every item on the menu. The pork ramen and the Hot wings are my personal favorite. Ill be back again Im sure.

Ive eaten here at least a dozen times now, and I really like it. I dont claim to be a foody or ramen expert, but I personally prefer the ramen here over other, more popular, places in the valley. The service is always polite and the xo sauce is a game changer.

Below average ramen for too high of a price. The chicken ramen broth is absolutely disgusting. The quality of the noodles is okay, but everything else, no. The soft boiled egg was off as well. Just dont bother. Funny how this place as mostly good reviews.

My husband wanted to try Yoko for his birthday. Im glad we did. He had an awful experience at toshs ramen and was very hesitant to try Yoko. A lot of flavor and great ramen! Location is cool and the vibe is a lot better than any other ramen place in town.

Best ramen so far in the city. Not as good or flavorful as Jinya or tonkotsu but not bad. Pricey though. Pork ramen+kimchi+drink was 18$ :/ 6$ in Japan....just saying... Still people should try it out. Waaaay better than toshs or kokos.

Excellent ramen. The two dishes we tried were both fantastic and very different from each other. Service was friendly and people were eager to help. The late night weekend hours seem like a great idea for the area. Ill definitely be back.

Love the low key atmosphere. Order at the counter and they will deliver it to the table. Ramen was perfect size and flavors good. Great pieces of pork. Beer and wine available. Nice neighborhood. Will go back

The menu is limited to just a few very well prepared items but there are lots of little sides and add ons to make your meal unique. The decor consists of Japanese posters for American movies. Its adorable.
