Been dining at this establishment for more then 30 years and have always been quite satisfied ,until I ate dinner there on jan 2 2014 at around 5pm. I always order a small pitcher of tea and get it this way so the waitress doesnt have to get me a refill as often.. on jan 2nd i was charged for my tea plus i was charged for my refill so I payed 4.00$ for my drink when I questioned the extra charge i was informed by the manager that this was correct in a very rude manner then she walked off before I could even ask about the 1.50$ charge that was tacked onto my wifes bill for a side salad as a side to the dinner special. so I will be calling the owner on fri morning jan 3rd to get this straightened out. I have never had to pay for refills before and if this is the new policy I will not return

Food is overpriced and of sub-par quality, at best. My girlfriend and I have dined here a few times, and typically at least one of us will become sick. Most recently, I had diarrhea for over a week straight. Waitresses will frequently touch the insides or rims of glasses before serving drinks to you, just after texting on their phone, with no use of gloves at all. To top it off, they will usually get at least one aspect of your order wrong, or forget a side that comes with your order altogether, such as a side of bread. This is, in all honesty, is one of the worst, if not the worst, restaurant Ive ever been to, in terms of sanitation, food quality, and pricing.

Not a review of Sunshine in general as they are normally decent but this location is a different story. First, there was raw egg in the French toast, had to have the manager give us our pancakes that we were literally staring at sitting in window for at least 10 minutes. Only saw our waitress twice, once to get order and second to bring bill. Would like to say it was because they were busy but there were only 3 other tables with people and at least 2 other servers we saw. Overall, horrible experience.

Three words: Country Fried Steak. Sunshine Cafes famous breakfast options will fill you up, satisfy your cravings for a wholesome meal, and leave you waddling out the door. Portions are great, service is nice, and the restaurant is quaint in its own little way. While Sunshine Cafe is famous for its breakfast food, Ive gotta say that I really enjoy their lunch and dinner specialties too. Unfortunately, every time Ive been here, its taken quite a while to get my food.

We found this restaurant by accident and are so glad we did. They have a full menu and serve breakfast 24 hrs a day. We drive an hour to go eat at Sunshine Café. I also eat breakfast and my husband tries different items on the menu. Never have we had a problem. The food and the waitresses are awesome!

I used to work here but was in here with mom n pops..my sister waited on us and food was good, coffee hot, some of my friends still work there but lets not forget Bill and Debbie Goins..we were family in a way and in my heart always will be..Thank You

If you are a ball state student it is expected to at least once experience "sunrise at sunshine". This breakfast joint is the perfect local place for late night munchies, this place has a wide selection for all your drunken hunger pains.

The atmosphere on third shift is great, day shift is a different story, manager seems like a nazi and it sometimes affects the staff. Its greasy diner food. It is what it is, if you want health food or a hand cut steak go somewhere else.

This place has the atmosphere of an old time cafe. Is really nice and well taken care of just reminds me of the pictures you see what all older restaurants looked like small and cozy. The service is great and so is the food.

Sunshine Cafe is a well-kept secret among locals, but visitors to town will enjoy a great meal here as an alternative to "chain" restaurants. Breakfast here is a personal favorite. Nice portion sizes and reasonable prices.

Classic 24-hour breakfast restaurant. It feels very local. Im pretty sure every time Ive been there after 2 a.m. at least 6 police officers are taking a coffee break. Great vibes at this place.
