This is a wonderful restaurant. My Wife is Thai and very picky. She had a noodle dish that she thought was just wonderful. I honestly dont remember exactly what. We have two young children and simply ordered them rice soup as they do not usually like too much else at Thai restaurants.They both loved it. I ordered pad-sew and it was excellent. My oldest daughter who is very picky and as I said normally just eats rice soup, kept asking to have more of my pad-sew. She ate almost half of mine and loved it. The help there were also very nice and friendly.

Absolutely excellent! The most truly authentic, delicious Thai food in all of San Diego - across the parking lot from Vons. Located where an average Thai place used to be but this is truly superb. Brand new to La Jolla and a real hidden gem of San Diego cuisine. Dont let the hidden location and unexceptional exterior fool you - it is very nice inside. Kid friendly. Full wine list and seafood too. Highly recommended!

Decor and Service are good at Aroi Thai, but the food is a little let down. We ordered drunken noodles, which were good on spice and flavor. Not the best, but certainly not bad. Where it fell apart was the curries. Thin and watery, the curries didnt pack that flavor punch expected from quality Thai food. Also sad as the lack of distinction between Red Curry and Panag Curry... they are not the same.

Absolutely delicious food. Pro tip: there was a discrepancy between the take out menu and the house menu: the former said that the thai boat noodle soup was $12 the latter said it was $10. I pointed this out to the waiter and he gave me the $10 price. It was the best thai Ive ever had. The thai sapporo was $4.

Delicious! Very kind and friendly staff. The food is simply delicious and yummy!! Especially the fried bananas, curry puffs and lemon ginger tea is extra ordinary. Highly recommend this place.

Every dish we ordered had amazing flavor and was so fresh! We ordered the fresh spring rolls, chicken satay, pineapple fried rice, pad Thai and Panang curry. The service was excellent!

Love the drunken noodles. I like it super spicy, but for the sake of others in my group, I wish they would get some consistency with the spice levels.
