Im disappointed to have to give this place 2 stars. I live in OC and there is a Native Foods up there that I frequent at least once a week. Theyve always been great and the food is really good, so tonight while my boyfriend and I were on our way to our hotel we decided to stop in for dinner. He ordered a southwestern burger and I ordered a bbq chicken salad with 4 changes, plus a side of steamed kale. We took our number and waited at a table for our food to come. About 10 min later we saw our food come out, but it went to another table. We were surprised, but gave it all the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe by coincidence they had the same exact order as us. After about 25 min, I went up to the counter and asked about our food. It had already gone out, like we had guessed, but the runners didnt know where it was. I mentioned that I thought it was mistakenly taken to the table by the window. The runner went and talked to them but the couple seemed to think they had the correct food. Thats fine, whatever, we just wanted our order reentered and brought out to us. Everyone behind the counter seemed extremely flustered and confused. And we understood, both my bf and I have worked in a restaurant before, mistakes happen. What matters is how you fix the mistake. This is where everything got messed up. They found the other couples original food, apologized to THEM for the mix up and offered to box their original order to go. So the people that were entirely not inconvenienced got extra food and great service. Ridiculous!!! We waited 10 more minutes, then decided we were too upset to stay and asked for our food to go. Finally, when they handed us our food to go, the guy apologized "for the wait". We got to our car and saw that the side of steamed kale I ordered was not there. Not even worth the trouble of going back. So no apology for the mistake, nothing to make up for it. Extremely disappointed in the service tonight.

This is the last time I will be going to any Native Foods ever. It seems like everytime I go to a chain, I always have a negative experience from poor customer service to a manager giving me a run around... Im tired of it. I came here mostly for the oatmeal cookies and seitan sandwich and it didnt look nor taste the same as another San Diego location (the sandwich was completely different). My boyfriend and I ordered the exact same thing and yet his sandwich was double decked- which I had no idea why. When talking to the cashier about it, he did nothing to help. I didnt even care if he got more food than me. I was upset that NOTHING was done to help the situation. We ordered the exact same thing. And then another customer was intruding on our conversation (not the fault of the establishment with this...), making the experience even worse. I should have called for a manager and or request a refund. Im tired of this crap.

Ordered food here twice in the past, but I cannot recommend this restaurant. Today, I decided to take family to eat here and although the drinks are absolutely delicious and I will continue to come here for the lemonade, at this point, the thought of their food is nauseating. Not only was our food all served cold, but the tempeh had a strange texture, and the scorpion burger is absolutely tasteless, and everyone at my table became queasy after about 15 minutes, and we left. I only had three bites from my burger before I realised how much it disagreed with my stomach, and luckily I didnt have worse symptoms than nausea and bloating, not to mention, my family also had similar digestive issues after eating this food and we wouldnt be tempted by another bite of anything after eating lunch at 11 there, until midnight.

I come here all the time because I practice yoga across the street and teach there. I love the food. Today I walked in 10 minutes early to the open front door to look at a menu. There was 6 people sitting at tables eating. The lady behind the counter was extremely rude. she started yelling at me across the restaurant that they were closed. I let her know that I understood and told her I was just looking at a menu. she stormed off like I had showed up at 6am and was ruining her day. I walked out and went to naked cafe. Your food is amazing but not enough to be yelled at.

This place was great! I love vegetarian and plant based foods, and I love them even more when they are done right! This place was YUMMY and the staff was super polite, attentive and helped me out without being in my face and pushy. The location is great, and the seating is open, with cool art all over the walls. I am glad they have a frequent eater card to earn free desserts and meals because I plan to frequent this place anytime I am in the Pt. Loma area! Mix the Lavender Lemonade with the Watermelon Agua Fresca! Yum!

Oh myyyyyy....! My parents both ordered the soul bowls. I ordered a bangkok curry bowl and my non vegan or vegetarian husband ordered the Reuben sandwich. We shared 2 orders of the spicy cauliflower. Wow! So good. Fresh flavors. Fresh food. My son had Mac & cheese and he was a little wishy washy, but hes a picky eater. Ive been a vegetarian my whole life. We will definitely be coming back. (My hubby said he couldnt tell the difference between meat and meatless Reuben sandwiches.)

One of my favorite places to eat at. It us to be a taco place that shut down if youre looking for that place. Good tacos!!! Nice atmosphere, staff is friendly, food is great and service is usually quick. Restrooms are clean. Clean restroom good restaurant. Menu is simple but good, easy to order would recommend if youre a vegan or vegitarian. Clean and safe place but have to look for it in the shopping plaza.

A vegetarian counter service chain that had its beginning with high end table service restaurants in Palm Springs and LA. The food is good though the textures can be a little daunting even for a die hard vegetarians. I eat lunch here occasionally. The servers are friendly and food comes out in minutes when they arent busy. Prices are high for lunch. Seitan, pea protein, tofu, and tempeh options.

This place deserves more recognition. Had their meatball sub, pumpkin cheesecake, and a chocolate chip cookie, and they were all tasty and reasonably priced for vegan food. If youre a vegan, transitioning, or just curious about vegan cuisine, definitely check it out. I took my "All- American diet" brother there, and he definitely agrees this place has great stuff for everyone.

WOW. Let me just say that they have a cookbook for sale, and I intend to buy it. Unfortunately, I dont think it includes the recipe for the unbelievable, delicious, piquant patty on their southwestern (so glad they were out of seitan for the scorpion, so I ordered my second pick!), but still so many fantastic foods!
