These are the most amazing sandwiches Ive ever had. I cant make better. Their bread, sauces, and meats are all cooked fresh every day. Ive literally seen them close early bc they ran out of bread, and that is a COMPLIMENT, bc it reiterates that they make this stuff every day. Theres nothing here that is frozen or pre-cooked. Simple sandwiches - chicken bacon ranch, or chicken with lettuce and balsamic reduction - are good enough to MORE than make the higher price tag worth it. Not being in Ithaca anymore is sad for a few reasons, but one of the big ones is that we cant get Gorgers sandwiches anymore. I MISS YOU GUYS! ~sincerely, the girl from the porn store across the street who always got chicken with balsamic

Phenomenal sandwiches. The pulled pork is very tender and doesnt have the inconsistency of the packaged stuff. The fries are perfectly seasoned. Portions are large and you feel you get a lot for your money. The only knock is on the French Onion soup. It is just not good. You can just put cheese and bread into a canned broth and call it French Onion Soup. Do not order it.

The service was great, took 5 minutes with customers ahead of me. Flavor is there, along with a second portion for the price of 1 ($9 goes a long way; one sub will easily feed two people). Now I have a guy playing the guitar for his baby while I eat. All this for simply waiting an hour for my girlfriend to get a massage. Ithaca is Gorgers.

Really enjoyed the shrimp sub I had and the eggplant "wings". Nothing like chicken wings but delicious in their own right. Service was slow and the guys behind the counter a little testy but maybe it was just a busy night. We didnt order ahead but they were making a lot of called-in orders that we had to wait for before they got to ours.

Awesome selection of sandwiches. The house-made seitan and fried eggplant are great vegan substitutions for any sandwich (though I wish they carried some vegan cheese so I could try their whole menu!). Try the Chimichurri with seitan! And dont forget the made-to-order fries! They dont cut the potatoes until you place the order!

Best subs in town. Period. They have great original flavors as well as some classics like the Cuban. The bread and other ingredients are always fresh. Love their fries too! You can watch them press the potatoes right there and drop them in the fryer. I bring all my out of town friends here when they visit

One of the best value restaurants in town, Gorgers is in a great location for a quick lunch or dinner. Their lineup of sandwiches is impressive but dont be afraid to explore the menu! The rotating soups are usually winners and the salads are very satisfying alternative if youre not feeling a sub.

Great grub, these guys are awesome and doing something special with the sub shop dark arts. The Baum Mi is unique and fresh and tasty beyond delicious, and they have possibly the best Cheese steak in town. French onion soup is always a good choice. And who else has a snowboard bench?

I really, really love the food, but theyve got a serious soggy bread problem. If you get a steak cabernet sandwich, to go, for example, you can guarantee the bread will be the consistency of pudding by the time you get it home. I really hope they figure it out.

The food here is great! The salads and subs are HUGE, so please be hungry when you arrive. Fast, friendly service and delicious food. Just a step away from The Commons, too. Plus, very inexpensive. You get beyond what you pay for. Five stars hands down.

Incredible subs at a good price. Service was fast and friendly on a Wednesday evening around 8pm. Dont miss the fried pickles - usually places tend to serve these a bit "soggy" but the serving we got was crispy and delicious.

Great food, not many vegetarians options, but the few that there are taste amazing. I went during summer when the lunch rush was 5-6 people, it probably gets much more crowded during the school year due to the nearby colleges.

Super awesome subs and flatbread that are made fresh daily. Huge portions at a very reasonable price. Daily soups are fantastic. French fries cut to order. I love these guys, plus theyre laid back and funny. You go, Gorgers!

Great food and atmosphere. Very quick service. Pleased my food critic wife! Excellent price! Ran out of ice that night(proceeded to give us a different cold drink) but the food and service more than made up for that!

Best subs in Ithaca, by far. Its very casual, reasonable prices, and lots of food. The homemade Seitan is delicious, and I highly recommend their homemade fried pickles. My favorite sandwich is the chupacabra.

Salt of the earth sub shop. If you eat in they serve your sandwich on a large sheet of brown paper. When your fries are done they come out and dump the fries onto the paper. Its a great experience overall.

The bahn-mi is full of pulled pork along with the pickled carrots and such, which might not be traditional but was extremely delicious. I was warned that the posted hours cant be fully trusted.

Awful. Dirty resturant and bathroom. Food was luke warm at best, chips for nachos were bargain bin at best, and tacos were soggy. I ended up not eating the meal for fear of being poisoned.

Om nom. Great food. Sometimes they run out of food, but thats only because the food they serve is in such high demand. One of our favorite places to grab food in Ithaca.

Amazing subs, I would highly recommend the buffalo chicken (pulled chicken) and the Cuban. Will be back next time Im visiting the parks.

Definitely delicious, but I always find their bread to be too doughy and undercooked in the center and it kinda grosses me out.
