We had a great time at here. We arrived between 10:30am and 11:00am. We were greeted immedietely and seated promptly. Our server was working hard, kneeling down at tables explaining the dishes but managed to make his way to us quickly. Ordered coffee, which was delicious. Discovered that they use Cafe Calabria coffee. I ordered the chilaquiles, eggs over easy. Tortillas are hand cut (not from a chip bag like many places) and fried. The housemade sauce is a tomatillo, poblano and guajillo chiles blend. Not too spicy, with just the right amount of smokiness from the roasted poblanos. The dish is served with pinto beans, the eggs served over the topped with a scoop of guacamole and cotija cheese. The tortillas really hold on to their crispness, which is exactly what I was looking for. Will come back for sure! Protip: the eggs keep the chilaquiles very hot, which will continue to cook the eggs, do not wait too long before breaking up the yolk or the yolk will cook through.

We were visiting from Chicago and decided to pop in here without a reservation on a Saturday night. Hostess informed us there was about a two hour wait (totally understandable), so we decided to sit at the bar. The bartender, Mark, was incredible - made us a couple great cocktails, and had excellent knowledge of and recommendations from the dinner menu. Highlights included the steak tartare and our personal favorite, the chicken liver on toast. We loved TRUST so much we came back on the last night of our trip for drinks and dessert; we loved the profiteroles and were blown away by the carrot cake. TRUST was easily the best restaurant we dined at during our stay in San Diego!

Journeyed down to Trust for brunch one Sunday. I didnt have a reservation but there was good amount of bar space (for a party of one). If I came back with a larger group Id call and make a reservation. I ordered the Brussels and the Grilled Cauliflower. Very different flavors both delicious. The portions were very fair for "small plates;" they would have been easy to share with a group of 4 or 5. I also got the rolled tacos (indulgent morning for me). The flavors were perfect. Slight spicy, subtly savory, and completely comforting. It was all way more food than necessary but I look forward to leftovers. And to coming back some time!

Okay, this is not going to be a "bad" review. Trust is not a "bad" place, but its not without its problems. On the positive side, the grilled octopus was really great. On the negative side, the lobster risotto was not. They put mint in it. Who puts mint with lobster?! Grody. Also, its waaaay expensive for what you get. The specialty cocktails were just okay, as well. Nothing to write home about. All in all, it was just a mediocre experience that left me a hundred dollars poorer than when I started.

Finally decided to try Trust this past weekend. Mind blown Everyone seemed to be eating burgers, and they looked super good. But we opted a few different plates to share. Dont miss the Pork Sugo over polenta. Try some of the drinks by numbers. This is not huge american plates of food. Its well thought out, more intense, food experiences. And the carrot cake with cream cheese ice cream, get that too. Why cant I get cream cheese ice cream at the store!?

Went here for dinner on a Monday night. Got the scallops, crab pasta, mac and cheese, wings, charcuterie board, and chocolate cake for dessert. I thought the scallops were amazing, followed closely by the chocolate cake. The mac and cheese was very good too, but the bone marrow seemed out of place for me. Service was on the slow side, but not terrible. Would come back to try other dishes. Also drinks are very good.

We mainly come here for the ambiance and friendly service. The front patio is beautifully lit and romantic, the inside of the former fire station has lots of things to check out: b/w photos of old movie stars, bar area, back patio, photo booth and the dining room with an especially beautiful chandelier. My favorite dish is the Braised Oxtail, which always reminds me of a good old-fashioned home cooked meal.

How do you put in words a flavor, a feeling, an new experience. That is what TRusT put me , my wife and close family friends through, a very enjoyable experience. Every bite caused us to sit and try to describe, but really could not. It us a place you have to experience. Not only the food but also the staff. Hope everyone has an opportunity to experience the works of the chef

Uhhh-mazing! Lemon cheesecake... snickers dessert... even olive oil ice cream! Lets go back to the appetizers too, or just eat dessert first since life is short. The octopus astounded me; the most delicious Ive had in my entire life, so tender. The Brussel sprouts are 200% better than my moms, and the squash blossoms were unique and incredible. Ill definitely return here.

One of my favorite restaurants. Everything Ive had theres been absolutely delicious. The only complaint that I have is that the service runs pretty slow on a consistent basis, but the food is absolutely amazing. The mac and cheese and the steak, the fish and the white bean sauce are my favorite! The desserts are equally as amazing!

I didnt go with any preconceived impressions although I had passed the restaurant a few times. My taste buds were definitely happy with what they experienced. I had the Sea Base and Brussel Sprouts. Dont take my opinion of the food. I always say, "Try it for yourself", with an open mind.

A really great menu and excellent location. Extensive alcohol selection. The food I had was good but the price point is a bit high. The coffee could have been better. Lucky there is good coffee next door. There is excellent outside seating if you are looking to eat on a patio.

I tried lamb meatballs and the burger. They were delicious and cooked to perfection. The pork sausage spring roll was not what I expected . It was a huge sausage wrapped in a thin crust. Nothing to die about. Meat balls and sausage were small plates. Nice atmosphere though

Ive been here twice and my favorite dishes are the yellowtail collar, beef tartare and the prawns. The restaurant is pretty small and loud but the food is tasty. The wine was a bit disappointing. I tried both of their sauvignon Blancs and neither were good.

I sat at bar for 10 min and not one bartender asked if I would like a cocktail or just something to eat. Bad service and bartending skills. The Managers and owners are at fault 100%. My recommendations will not be Trust restaurant in the future. Good luck!

Absolutely sick balls bacon and egg brioche. Runny egg, crispy bacon, pillow-like brioche. I didnt order anything else. Expensive but I didnt care because it was so good. SO GOOD. Get coffee from Menotti and a bite from here and youll be KING OF THE WORLD.

We went here for brunch as a group and all of our dishes were delicious. They do run out of items later in the day so try to go earlier. Service was great. Parking is a little difficult. They have both indoor and outdoor seating; great layout.

Its the quality of food I have only experienced at $100 a plate restaurants in Paris. Absolutely delicious. Especially the lobster risotto and charcuterie platter. You need a reservation on the weekend, but you can make it the same day.
