Stumbled upon this place before our engagement photos for a drink to loosen us up. The bartender was amazing! He took time to perfect my vodka martini and he spoke to my fiancé about the craft beer selections. We had intellectual conversation (not just about sports thank goodness). We wanted a bottle of champagne for our engagement shoot, obviously there arent liquor stores in La Jolla, but he did point us to the one place that has a retail license. The location did not open in time for our shoot but he took the time to text the bartender there so that they would sell us a bottle. I do not usually write reviews but when this man went above and beyond I felt the need to. I wish I would of gotten his name. The only down fall was that he was a dodger fan!

Ive been here twice, once with friends and alone. The food is fantastic the service is friendly and the drinks fabulous. Today I had a Vegetarian Jardin taco at first I didnt know what to think but after a few bites the multilayered flavors came into the forefront. Everything is wood fire oven roasted which brings out the flavors. I will definitely try this one again.

We were visiting from Houston and stayed in La Jolla for 5 nights and we came here twice. Being from Houston, we appreciate fresh authentic mexican food and this place is awesome. The cocktails are also creative and delicious. Of al the places we tried all over San Diego during our stay (and it was a lot) this place was our overall favorite. Plus, a great patio!

My husband and I were visiting from out of town and are thrilled we stumbled on Lena Craft Mexican. I ordered the Jardin taco and the Pablano Pasta and both were easily some of the best dishes Ive ever had, especially the tacos. So incredible. My husband had the Carnitas and really enjoyed his as well. We wish we lived here so we could go often.

Good food, but theyre trying a bit too hard to make the food sound exotic on the menu. Also keep in mind that this place is in La Jolla so the 2 dollar signs is really a normal persons 3. Chips and salsa arent included and the entrees were just shy of 30 bucks. That being said we would go back, but only for a special occasion.

Might be the best Mexican food I have had. The Kastakan de Pulpo is unbelievable, the octopus goes great with the pork belly... not your burrito and nachos Mexican food, its gourmet quality! My wife had the shrimp enchiladas and was extremely impressed. Add great patio, ambiance and this one is definitely a winner.

For some strange reason, it was dead on a Thursday evening in December, but the food was excellent, the service was on point and it ended up being one of the best meals I had in a long time. In particular, the squash quesadilla, the plancha tacos, the panelo asado, and the cochinita pibil stood out.

Great service, delicious food and spectacular presentation. Yes, prices are a little high, but this is LaJolla and the food is very thoughtfully designed and beautifully presented. Casual environment and excellent service.

Guacamole $10 for a mouth full. No fish tacos. After a bad start the steak and shrimp tacos were very good. Kids burrito was okay but an extra $5 for chicken seemed excessive. Authentic and fresh but over priced.

Very nice staff, attentive but not over the top. Had the chicken mole, very good (and Ive been to Mexico a lot so I know what the food is really like). Have had better margaritas but everything else excellent.

Pretty good but not amazing. Menu items are different than your standard Mexican food. Everything had pretty good flavor and service was average. Just not quite worth the price.

I am a vegetarian and I was a bit reluctant at first of the choices available. I ordered the Squash Blossom Quesadilla and it was absolutely delicious and service was friendly.

Finely crafted dishes; you notice every detail. I got the chicken mole and the sauce was complex and excellent. Good selection of beers too.
