Everything went well until after the cake tasting. Once Amy (the owner) had our money for our cake deposit, it was nearly impossible to get a hold of anyone at Keyes, let alone Amy. We resorted to emails to try and get anything done and Keyes still didnt update things correctly to our order. Three weeks prior, we paid the remaining balance due on our cake and checked in to make sure all was well with our order. Everything was "fine" and delivery was scheduled to our venue for 5:30pm on our wedding. Well... 6:00pm rolled around on the day of our wedding day and still no cake. Our wedding coordinator called Keyes to find out when the cake would arrive and that is when we found out that they had not baked our cake because they forgot. The owner was too concerned about her vacation the following day to stay organized enough to make sure our wedding cake was made and delivered. Luckily, they did throw another cake together along with some cupcakes and we ended up with something for our wedding. However, it was not what we ordered (it did taste delicious, we will give them that at least), and it was late. All would have been forgiven if we had at least gotten a sincere apology. However, Amy and the other manager could not even be bothered enough to even call us themselves and apologize for their mistake. We had to call them the next day, and they made us feel bad for being upset about them messing up our special day and acted like it was no big deal (excuse us, but it was our wedding day and it was a big deal). Keyes eventually did refund us, but the refund took almost 3 weeks to receive and could not be completed right away because Amy had to be in town to "oversee" the refund and could not empower her manager to take care of the customer. So, all in all, while the cake that ended up being made for our wedding tasted great, it was not worth the customer service experience and the hassle. We would not recommend Keyes Cafe in Hudson for a wedding.

We have eaten at Keys for many years. The White Bear location is always great as is the Woodbury location. This is the third time we have stopped at the Hudson Cafe and it will be the last! We waited 10 minute for the "hostess" to even acknowlege that we were waiting to be seated. We could see at least 3 tables that were open but still had to wait. After getting a table we waited another 10 minutes until our waitress came over. We ordered then and had to ask her for some water. She never did tell us her name or ask us how we were doing, you know the usual small talk. The group of people that work here could not care less about their customers. We waited another 20 minutes for our three meals. Every meal came out incomplete. My husband had to call over to the "hostess" twice to try to get his toast and syrup for our daughters french toast. When he did get her attention she replyed "yeah, whats up"!!!! She went in back and got some syrup but said he would have to wait on the toast. By the time he got his toast, he was done with his eggs. The service was so bad we were joking that we thought we might be on some comedy show, but unfortunatly not. I think they have made the portions of their meals smaller also. The owners of the original Keys need to do some retraining or needs to hire people that actually care about their customers.

I meet a friend on Tuesday for lunch at Keys. I googled directions and found a crabby review about a carmel roll. Wow someone sure was having a bad day....before you write such a bad review, do what critics do, go more then once. To compare Keys in Hudson to Perkins says volumes about the critics poor taste...do people know that Perkins cooks their precooked breakfast meats by dropping them in boiling oil...that is why they are so covered in grease. I digressed...My lunch was perfect and the service was right on...we talked for a very long time and our space was respected..Food was fresh and well prepared. I will have to say I do not think all of the Keys have the same quality of cooking. I think Hudson is the best. But of course you should expect that since everything is made from scratch..no precook junk...chiefs differ.

Keys is a good place to go if youre looking for some hearty breakfast food and you arent in a terrible hurry. What other reviewers have said about the long wait is true, but I didnt mind the wait at my cozy table with nice views out the large windows. My server was diligent and personable, making the wait even less of an issue. The price is right, the food is delicious (youll get plenty of it), and the coffee is okay. Overall Keys is a nice little spot for people who like a more laid back feel with their breakfast.

Came here 4 times so far. 1st time was great my server kept my coffee cup topped off and the food was soo good. The 2nd and 3rd time the service was bad, my order was forgotten on one occasion and the other my omelette was undercooked in the center. This is the 4th and the food and service ( with the exception of the first waitress) is really good. Food is hot and smells/ tastes good! It is worth saying that the waitress that took our drinks got them wrong and was the same one I had with my bad experiences.

We come here quite often and the hostess problems never change. You stand there and wait while the wait staff ignores you. All other keys location you are attened to immediately. Not hudson! The hostess this Saturday morning is seating, clearing tables and getting waters, and drink orders!than wonders around. Line going out the door. They also need somone in that position that is older than 16. Spoils the whole experience. When is something going to change here. VERY POOR MANAGEMENT AT THIS LOCATION.

This was probably the worst experience Ive ever had at a restaurant. There was zero professionality in the service, short staff, some staff flipping their hair around in the kitchen, people waiting at the register to pay for 10 mins or more as workers walked past not even acknowledging them waiting in line, the list goes on and on. The worst part was that we waited 45 mins for our food and when I got it there was a hair in it. Do not go to this place!! Trust me bad idea.

We checked this cafe out for breakfast recently and it’s lovely. Just because it’s a (small) chain resto doesn’t mean it has to be bad; in fact it was very good! Virtually everything is made in-house, the flavors are great, and the prices are about par. It’s a cafe, so you should expect to dawdle and enjoy — if you want fast food, go to McDonalds! It takes time to cook a meal to order and I’m glad we checked them out.

Went to have breakfast they were busy and appeared to be under staffed. We sat for a very long time before taking our order. Then waited at least 40 minutes after ordering. The egg nog French toast was 2 tiny pieces of bread did not taste like egg nog at all and was mediocre at best for 6.26.I could have made better at home for about. 50 cents! This is not the first time this has happened and I will not be going back!
