We are long-time customers (25+ years) and highly recommend the Restaurant. The staff are absolutely first-rate, going out of their way to make us feel pampered and make each visit special. Of course, the ambiance is unparalleled, with the Ottaquechee River and waterfall views - winter, spring, summer or fall, the atmosphere is beautiful. The food is always superb. We have experienced the work of three long-time chefs, and the current team is creative and talented. Only fresh, local ingredients are used in all dishes, and the daily specials are not to be missed. The wine list is well-curated, and they have wine guides on staff to provide additional information if needed. We are locals who can choose from many other area restaurants, but we always seem to end up back at Simon Pearce. That speaks for itself.

I love this place! Its been one of my favorite restaurants to visit for the past 10+ years. Its a 2 - 3 hr drive from my hometown but its always worth the drive! I prefer their lunch menu purely because of their homemade mini scones - Im addicted to them! Make sure you arrive at least 1 hour before they close for lunch (2:30 pm). They dont except reservations for lunch and theres almost always a wait... if its really busy, they are forced to stop taking names for the wait list. Multiple times Ive had to wait 30-60 minutes for a table but no complaints from me; Ill gladly wait. You dont want to miss out on their delicious food, locally inspired cocktails, beautiful scenery and of course their famous glass blowing artwork and more!

Im from the Upper Valley and Simon Pearce has been around forever it seems. My recent dining experience can be summed up by saying, the space justified the bill but the food and service did not. Keep in mind, Simon Pearce has and does put themselves in the 5 star restaurant category. With a limited menu of something like 7 entree options, limited craft beer menu and absent minded staff the experience just didnt feel 5 star. The space, the glassware (of course) and the view are all primo but I think they could do more to elevate their dishes and provide best in class service. It was good overall but I believe they have more in them! I simply hold them to the high standards they set for themselves.

went here for our anniversary dinner - did not live up to our expectation. the ingredients were fresh, and we understand that they were trying to be inventive with their menu, but the concoctions just werent palatable - everything was very dry. flavors clashed, and accompaniments overwhelmed the main dishes. nothing that Id ever want to order again. the environment was fantastic, but that doesnt excuse the cuisine. its hard to imagine such a restaurant surviving beyond a few months of it werent for the one time tourist visits. I really wanted to like this place, and I hope they can reinvent the menu without letting it be a experimental playground for the chef.

Good food, nice atmosphere. A bit pricey. You have to wait in a line to get your name on a seating list, but theres no sign explaining that. Wed planned to get on line close to dinner time, which was posted, but didnt know we had to go past everyone in line to put our name in, until someone in line told us! Other patrons seemed to know thats how to do it. People behind us didnt know, and we told them, so they could be sure to get a table! Thats kind of a faux pad in my opinion, because we couldve waited and waited in line, only to be told there were no tables because of the seating list. Hence, the 4 stars instead of 5.

Thought this was a Vermont company. Was in a rush for wine glasses and wanted to support the local economy. I went with overnight shipping to guarantee delivery, but my items came 3 days later; and were shipped from West Virginia. I should of went with a more reputable company as I was not impressed with the misinformation (photos, shipping details, manufacturing info), lack of service, and overall lack of quality in their product - the glasses I received were nothing special and have a dull appearance in person. Would definitely not recommended this place to anyone unless you want overpriced junk.

This is one of our favorite restaurants for lunch. We love the cheddar soup and the tiny biscuits and soda bread that come to the table. The grilled chicken sandwich with orzo salad was wonderful. Desserts are always tempting, too, and the Simon Pearce Chardonnay goes well with sandwich, quiche or fish. Many tables have a spectacular view of the waterfall and rebuilt (since the hurricane a few years back) covered bridge. Other tables look into the gleaming showroom with all its sparkling glass. Definitely worth the trip.

I almost didnt come here, because I read a review that said the menu was too "inventive" and full of "concoctions." So glad I stopped in! I was driving home from upstate VT, and I was seated immediately as a walk-in. The waitress was polite and friendly, and the menu, although not extensive, looked so good I had a hard time choosing. The cheddar soup was delicious, and came with fresh baked bread and butter. None of the menu items were far-fetched, just fresh and locally sourced.

Very pleasant environment for a restaurant. However, the food can vary in quality. You should go but for the view of the stream and the proximity to the gorgeous glassware. But not so much expecting great food. For example, we had quiche that seemed like it was cold and then quickly heated in a microwave. You know - that microwaved softness that happens to breads and crusts? Maybe it was just a fluke, but I cant give this place lots of praise based on what we saw.

Definitely worth the visit, Simon Pearce is an experienced in craftsmanship with a gorgeous river view. Although the works can be quite expensive and the place settings of silver can cost a Kings ransom ($100+ each) you can always grab a Simon Pearce $20 dollar bottle of Chardonnay and visit the glass blowing shop downstairs or have a quick bite in the restaurant without feeling like you need to take out a second mortgage on your home. I give the experience a B+

We ate at the restaurant and found their food didnt match the surroundings that were quite rustic and attractive. Looking at the glassware, we also didnt see anything beyond the usual although many people found the glass blowing very interesting, got caught up in the moment, and boughta bunch of things. I would say this place is more style than substance but will give Simon Pearce due credit for being an excellent marketer.

Beautiful place. Everyone who works there is very nice. We really enjoyed watching them make the glass downstairs. We had coffee in the cafe area, but thought that the view for the restaurant looks very nice and her that the food was very good. The glass they sell is very expensive. I kind of felt like I was in a museum. But at the same time when you see them make it you realize it is really a craft and an art.

We went there for the blown glass and got surprised with an outstanding restaurant. The lunch was unique, very tasty and beautifully presented. It was a wonderful setting looking out over the rushing river spilling over the dam with fall leaf color everywhere. The glass work is well worth the trip to see both displayed and being blown in the downstairs workshop. All this in a beautiful Vermont setting.
