The host that seated us complained about having to be at work. They "waiter" that attended our table kept focusing a little too hard on the kids. Not just mine, but all of them. So much so, that he wasnt taking care of the tables properly. He would wander off and not come back with what we asked for until we reminded him. I understand hes trying to be likable, but it was forced and over the top. It was very insincere.Then, at one point, he walked past my 5 year old son and reached out tickled him behind the ear. NOT ACCEPTABLE! The worst part is, this isnt the first time this guy has pulled that. Hes never physically touched my kids before, but hes always made a point to stop and "entertain" them. Or, more accurately, harrass them while were trying to eat our meal. My 10 year old daughter even told me that she didnt like him. Now, I want to make it very clear that Im not making any accusations, or implications, but he certainly crossed a line. I would give it no stars for this, but the food itself was pretty good. And really, thats what youre there for.

The buffet is mediocre at best. The pizza isnt bad, but isnt remarkable either. And its often old. Which means its got a stale/cold quality to it in spite of being warm from the heating lamps. Once in a while you find a good server who comes back more than once, but rarely. The only way to keep the servers coming back so you might get drink refills is to keep ordering the grill items, which they have to bring back to you. Or be willing to yodel across the place at excessive volume to get their attention. Because its far more important for them to congregate near the soda machine or grill window and chat. And note these observations are based on at least a half dozen visits over the span of six or so years, which means this is nothing new or something they shouldnt know about if they care how this place is run.

The food is on par with any family buffet. The pizza is actually really good, and they have a very good salad bar. I went here with my parents, sister, and sisters kids on Valentines Day. (Not as sad as it sounds, our husbands were at work). Anyway, we went to Izzys for dinner. My nephew is allergic to nuts, and couldnt eat anything from the desert bar. This would usually be devastating news to any 6 year old, but not this time! My mom called ahead and asked if it would be ok for her to bring a sundae from McDonalds (they are one of the few safe dessert places for him). Not only did they say that was ok, they kept the sundae in the freezer until he was done with his dinner. THATS how you make repeat customers.

Family took me out for lunch/dinner for Fathers day. Wasnt very impressed. I would compare them to other buffet type places, Hometown Buffet, Sweet Tomatos and Izzys doesnt stack up well. Izzys food was the biggest disappointment. I have children who perfer basic pizza selections, cheese or just pepperoni, and they didnt have those options at all. Server was a Cleveland Browns fan, what a sorry lot for him. Go Steelers!!! Positive: Salad Negative: Pizza selection Prices comparable to HTB & ST, yet food doesnt compare. Fathers day promotion was LaMe.

Overall its very hit and miss. My family has twice got sick eating here. Sometimes the food is fresh sometimes it tastes uncercooked or just old. Sometimes the options are good sometimes it isnt. They only restock food when asked which while i understand why you dont wanna constantly make food for fear of waste its called a buffet for a reason. When the food is good its worth the price to me. However id say its about 1/3 of the time that way. Price is somewhat fair. But not a value

We went at 3 pm food was old not enough food for everyone that was here. I finally told the staff they then started filling the food but it was not very good Mac and cheese was like soup. The desert bar was empty the hole time. I didnt see anyone else upset about this. But I am when I take my family of 5 to a buffet I shouldnt have to ask them to stock there buffet or ask for fresh food. Booo I wont go back

The Pizza in this place is ok but its not really anything special. There never seems to be a wide variety to choose from; which is odd for a pizza buffet. The grill food is bland and the other buffet selections (salad bar, soup bar, etc) are just ok. The best part of this place is the dessert bar. They have tiny desserts that are so cute and dont make you feel guilty when youre on a diet!

Love to eat the breakfast here. You can have omletes made to order and plenty of bacon to take care of the craving. The best time to get there is just before the buffet changes from breakfast to lunch. I like to start with an omlete, let that settle and hit the pizza just after it changes to lunch. Best bang for your buck that way. Finish it up with some yummy deserts.

this restaurant is not bad and has sooooooo much potential, but, sometimes, it misses the mark, but, not for lack of trying. one thing though, they always try to make it right. wonderful fried chicken, excellent driblets, good garlic green beans, good balled beans.... umm. go try it out!

Nice, clean, well-kept location. I was actually surprised to see it is still around since almost all Izzys pizza and Buffet locations in Portland itself are out of business. Food with par for the course for what you expect at Izzys, the selection was good and the staff was polite.

Terrible customer service!!!! Ive NEVER been to a Izzys with such terrible service!!! Im really thinking your employees need to find other types of work where they dont need to work in the "service industry." I would NOT even give a ONE STAR if I didnt have to.

The parking spot was nice but the restaurant it self was absolutely disgusting it smelled like old people pissed on the floor and rolled around in it and then there were many obese people staring at you as you walk in and its super creepy

Not the best buffet I have ever been too. The pizza is good but the selection was small. All of the food was very processed and the salad bar didnt have Caesar dressing. The dessert selection was large and the ice cream was good.

Thursday scares food priced too high at 6:00 thought it would be more running out especially the soup wanted seconds none left need. More salad bar items thats why I didnt drive to sweet tomatoes maybe I will the next time

Weve always enjoyed this Izzys. I dont look for service as I would in a sit down restaurant. Its a buffet! Ive never had trouble getting someone to get me something from the grill either! Good food for a fair price!

Food was meh, waiter was nice but too talkative. Small selection for large price. Hardly any food out and it went as soon as they put it out, then forever before it was replenished. Not very clean restaurant either.
