Worst service and below average food would be the apt one liner that would sum up my experience. We came to have buffet lunch at around 1:15 PM on Saturday and one would expect sufficient food availability at that time. But to our surprise food was almost over. Which is okay given the buffet is officially closed. They let us in but the food trays were near empty and we started off with scraping what we could of the trays hoping it would be replenished soon. But the staff was oblivious to empty trays of food. We were sitting on the other side so had to walk over each time to see if the food was available. It took 6 walks 3 complaints for them to realize the food was not available. Then a guy walks in with a notepad to note what all food items were not available. Are you kidding me..? Shouldnt they know what food is getting over and prepare before hand. Wait for naan was even more frustrating.. How can they not maintain a supply of naan.. Thats perhaps the easiest item to prepare. Finally when naan came.. They were cold and hard. It was like there was no end to this misadventure. In all of this the response of the staff was I apologize and I have told to my chef and he is cooking and I cannot do anything. My level of frustration had reached a level that I started writing this review while sitting inside the restaurant. I am wondering whats the point of opening the restaurants one after the other while the quality of service is horrible and pathetic.

We went here for dinner last night, a week after the opening. The meal started off with some spicy chips that came with two dipping sauces. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed them. The kids not so much. The menu is extensive and we had a hard time choosing but went with the old standbys. We had the chicken tandoori, butter chicken, chicken tikka masala and butter naan. I am happy to say the food was excellent. Very happy to have this addition to the non existent food scene in our area. One snafu that takes away from a higher rating is the fact that they brought out my sizzling platter of tandoori (so good!...half portion was huge) but the rest of our order didnt come out for at least 20 minutes. Seems like they need to get their timing a little better in the kitchen. Another area for improvement is cleanliness. The floors werent swept when we arrived (we were the first customers for dinner) and the bathrooms werent very clean according to my husband). We will definitely be back but hopefully they can improve upon on these two issues.

Its tasty food over all from ratings of godavari all over the US as I heard and experienced a bit with my appetizer, with few shortcomings, more on management. Also chefs probably need to stop reinventing recipes; who puts some peanuts in Malai Kofta, for instance! People with different allergies, watch out. It is a crowded place with really little ventilation; vegetarians having troubles with smell of meat and fish sizzling; or in general people having troubles with too much aroma of food, should rethink going here. There were few (five)empty tables for two still me n a friend waited ~15 mins to be seated. Meanwhile, we used restroom and oh boy! it was a disaster; two out of three were soiled! So no good housekeeping. Also, the waiters discriminate between Indian v/s non Indian diners...too racist I guess! They unintentionally tried to mess up the orders too, and yes last, waiter chewed gum the entire time while taking order. Ill try n go for buffet after a time lapse n see if things are any better, else this is off my list.

We ordered 2 appetizers, ate it and in about 20 mins, ordered the main course. The server forgot to put in our main course order and after waiting for 45 mins, when we asked whats going on? the manager replied "the chefs are busy". So we waited 15 more mins, and then began to leave. At that time he was expecting us to pay for the order that didnt even show up. The manager then proudly said, "In all our restaurants the wait is at least an hour, you should not put in an order for appetizers and main course separately". One of the worst experiences Ive had at an Indian restaurant in the US. I never write reviews, but the person was so arrogant that I wanted to share my experience. Horrible service. Never going to this place again.

The review is first and foremost for the unbelievably unprofessional service. Theres noting worse than, as an Indian, experiencing racism at an Indian restaurant by Indian wait staff. We were seated across from a white couple. They were given complementary starters and a drink on the house, while we waited for water and plates and glasses, you know...the basic stuff. The food was not up to the mark, and this is in comparisons to other Godavari locations- the one in Woburn I went to before was much, much better for food. Needless to say, will not be coming back after such a terrible experience with service.

The worst Indian food Ive had. Food is so bad even animals would not eat this No spices in food what so ever, chicken is so dry u need glass of water toswollow each bite. Pakoras are salty biryani has no salt I mean it was plain chicken on rice dont think chef has any idea about Indian spices or how to cook I mean how 3 different chicken dishes have same gravey base??? Do not waste your money here. What pissed me off the most was the part they had balls to serve cold pakora and biryani was warm Have they even learn to serve hot food???

I will star this less than 1 . Went with my friend for dinner. Because of Sizzler dish, smoke detector went off . The fire alarm was blaring for 15 mins. We were inside all time. Ear was ringing for a while. Upon crossing this Huddle the food was so bad taste less. We ordered shrimp Briyani, mutton Briyani and Gongura chicken . None of the dish was tasty. I never had that bad Briyani. Server were not neatly dressed and ambiance is real bad . At end no feel sorry for fire alarm. I felt like I am serving them not they serving the customer.

Very good food: delicious options that lots of Americanized restaurants wont make. Id rate five stars, but the service was pretty bad. It was rare for someone to come to the table to check up on us, so we waited a lot when we wanted to order or get the check. Also, they twice came over to deliver dishes we hadnt ordered. The first time we werent quite sure so we accepted it (and it was quite yummy), and the second time we told them it was for someone else. The first one found its way into the bill.

Excellent service; however, Food quality, taste, freshness are extremely bad. Visited four times and had three take outs every time the food was stale such as idlis, Sambar, in chicken tikka masala onion was chopped instead of pure, chicken lollipop was not cooked well. Didnt had feel of restaurant style food or not even near to even liking it. I like Godavari Woburn, and food truck located at Boston but this restaurant is not at all good as compare to other restaurants available on streets.

Horrible food for a expensive buffet, I had been fallen for Fathers day buffet advertised in facebook. Screwed up the food that i had was worst, Badam Milk and Raita - too watery and tasteless Haleem - OMG - horrible Nati kodu pulusu - Chewy. Mutton Dum biryani - peices were black and for a whole biryani few peices. Woburn branch is better and No consistent in quality. I left comment in facebook but it was deleted immediately because only positive comments are left for screwing others.
