Gor Gai Thai Street Food is a very authentic Thai hole in the wall restaurant. They even open the doors and windows nice and wide like they would in Thailand. It also gives a great feel of fengshui. The decor and ambiance gives you a real feel of Thailand, as well. Seating is average, with about 8 tables inside and 3 tables outside. Chairs are uniform. Customers get a tray of various sauces and a bottle of water for self refills. The staff are very friendly. During lunch, the restaurant was pretty full and the staff of 3 people managed to get food and service out in a reasonable amount of time. They were also constantly busy with to go orders and phone orders. We are greeted with a traditional Thai welcome phrase, asked to pick our own seats, and water+menus were given to is shortly after. The food was quite good. We ordered a pad see ew and a fried chicken dish with ginger flavored rice. The pad see ew was well made: crispy vegetables, rice noodles tender, and chicken moist. It wasnt overly sauced like many Thai places will do. The grief chicken was crispy and juicy and came with a sweet chili sauce to dip in. Honestly, though, while the chicken was good, I was in love with their ginger flavored rice. It was unexpected, but in a good way. In addition to the food, we got a Thai ice coffee. It was wonderful. It tasted like a really good coffee ice cream, but liquid. Overall, beautiful experience. I would highly recommend and I will certainly be coming here again whenever I am in Auburn.

Waited an hour - to be told our order was lost. The server made eye contact with us a few times and never stopped to inquire about our wait or food. I finally asked on my own to be informed our order was lost. Another group of 6 had the same experience before us. Neither of us were offered a gift card or any gesture to correct the neglect of service. I try to always be patient in restaurant service this is why I did not inquire sooner. Went a couple miles to Matazalan restaurant- received immediate service to meet our time schedule needs at this point. Sorry to give poor review but this was the worst service I have ever received. Guess I should feel fortunate. Lol!

Service 5 Ambience 5 Food 5 Very nice little place. Pretty, clear menu. Fair pricing ~$10 per dish. We got the chicken pad see eew, chicken lad na and pork pineapple fried rice. Very tasty and no complaints about these dishes. Ordered mild and it was still very flavorful. There is a tray of a variety of spicy vinegars and peppers to add to dishes. This restaurant is less sweet than other typical American thai restaurants which I really like. We went for lunch on a Monday holiday. They filled up pretty quickly but the service was brisk and friendly. I like the decor. It is clean and modern. We look forward to returning here.

This is our new favorite Thai restaurant. I appreciate the restaurant setup. Its easy to get lost in the shuffle in the larger restaurants. This one feels quaint with service to match. We had a brief chat with the owner who is from Thailand. The menu items were consistent with the choices we found on our trip to Bangkok. The food was spicy, thats what I expect in Thai cuisine. The Tom Yum was exceptional. I honestly cannot pronounce the main entree I ordered, but I loved it! We finished up with black sticky rice which concluded a great dinner. We will be back soon and often.

2nd time here. Time to review wow. Friday night packed still got a within 2 minutes also only one of the two park benches was taken so couldve sat outside. Have gone through almost all the noodles dishes so far and pad Thai was good but my least favorite of them all, every dish awesome. Had the chicken larb pad Thai and mama noodles tonight yummy. Dk what kind of rice we had but it had pineapple and raisins in it by far my favorite dish so far. Finished with sticky rice and mango damn good food.. highly recommend we will be back

This place is phenomenal. And its not just the dearth of quality restaurants in Auburn that makes me say that. Im from San Diego where there is a whole suburb dedicated to the foods of main land and southeast Asia. I know good Thai food. This is GREAT Thai food. Weve had the Pad Gor Gai a ton. I highly recommend the spicy Tom yum noodle soup. It has an amazing spicy sour broth and wonderful noodles. We usually get takeout because the place is packed at peak times but that definitely doesnt change the quality. Go to this place!

Hubby and I were looking for a Thai restaurant and found this one had a great rating. True to the rating this place was amazing! Ive never had Thai before and my husband only had it one other time. Theyve only been around for about 6 months apparently and seem to have a regular customer base and know people by name and are very friendly. Small little restaurant but worth the drive and wait (if there is any,) would definitely recommend them and will be going back when we can.

An amazing location down in Auburn. A gem of a place off the main roads across from Auburn High. Its a small place that often has lines throughout the day. Totally worth the wait. The food is so rich and delicious. Love getting the skewers, any of the noodle dishes are recommended. Anything with the FRIED PORK BELLY is delicious. Also try the wings. There is so much to love about this place. I keep going back to try something else.

Our new favorite Thai restaurant, hands down! We have been to may of the big named ones and enjoy their food, but this one just knocks it out of the park. The food is the real-real deal, no gimmicks, just awesome! I am so thankful I met the owner of this great establishment when it was just a dream of his, now it is a reality! Very friendly and ready to please. Very highly recommend Gor Gai! Best of luck!! Jon & Sheeba Z.

This is really good unadulterated, non-commercialized, not for the weak, not your college roomates feable attempt of adventurous ethnic food, not like your typical local tame Thai eatery. Normally I would drive 3+ hours down to Portland for something like this place but this place is just a few minutes from me!...get the Neua Nam Tok and pick mild for normal folks or spicy for the crazies...I chose spicy...

Heard lots of good things so I tried it at lunch and was not disappointed. The chicken basil stir fried rice was excellent. Service was great and friendly. It was busy (all outside tables full and only one empty table inside yet food was made quickly. I ordered inside to go and it took about 10 minutes to make my food. Will be going back.

Delicious Thai food. Some of the best Thai food I had, even better than some fancier venues. Little Thai restaurant with a big taste, and an average dish goes for under 10 dollars. If you come at lunch, it may be packed and you may wait for your food. This place is very popular, and they make everything fresh from scratch.
